I keep thinking today is Friday too!

Glad it's not just me in a chaos of clothes and presents. I've put all the nw born stuff in a bag ready to be vacuumed! But that's it. R is currently in 0 to 3

Wishing everyone an improvement on last night Wink ... Every little helps

ohthegoats · 27/11/2014 23:29

Can blokes get postnatal depression?

pebble82 · 27/11/2014 23:33

goats absolutely they can. There were posters about it all over our hospital.

YellowWellies · 28/11/2014 01:09

Bloody hell, my sis and her kids had a sleepover tonight to help whilst DH went to an industry awards dinner. Bath time and bedtime with a 5, 3, 2 and 0 year old is a bit mad! Even with two of us. Pregnant and other multiple Mamas - I salute you Shock !

Goats my XBIL had PND after their DD arrived early, I think 20% of PND reported cases are men?

MundayCakes85 · 28/11/2014 01:15

Bump pack lots of stuff!! We had a whole boot for 2 nights at the in laws. Where are you going, anywhere nice?

fedupofrainydays · 28/11/2014 03:37

goats we learnt about bloke PND at NCT. It's more common that you think. My DH got a bit depressed after ds1 but only for a few days around the 3 week mark when we were in the constant crying and no sleep phase! Not PND for him but I had never ever seen him so flat / down

ohthegoats · 28/11/2014 06:13

Ok, well I think that explains what's going on with my boyfriend. We had a chat tonight that suggests to me that he's depressed. He has form in thats department, but now he's talked about his real feelings towards 'stuff' going on at the moment, I'd definitely say he's not in a good place. Better do some reading.

Meanwhile I asked that question at 11.30, put my light out..... and got woken at 6am. Bloody marvellous, but boobs like torpedoes!

tattyblue · 28/11/2014 06:37

On my goodness. Four and a half hours sleep then three hours. Four the first time in nearly seven weeks I've slept more than two and a half hours in a go. It's like a miracle. Thank you, baby. You are a good baby.

Jealous of big sleeps. I've been holding B up on my chest since 5am as his cough is really bad. Think he would have slept from 1am to 7ish as not wanted a feed so far. Roll on this cough passing.

Happytimes31 · 28/11/2014 07:34

Aargh sore sore boobs, they didn't like missing a feed yesterday eve Sad feeding from one going to express the other (earlier than usual) that ok?

So sorry granny

mrsb87 · 28/11/2014 07:42

I do that every morning happy. I have to do it before Dylan wakes up so I can drain 1 noon properly.

mrsb87 · 28/11/2014 07:42

Noon? Boob. I bloody hate autocorrect

pebble82 · 28/11/2014 09:38

Jealous of the sleepers too. Day 3 of whinging all night. She let up at 4am when I gave up and took her into the lounge. Poor DP has had to go to work on 3 hours sleep. He was so good last night trying to help settle her, changing her and taking her off me when I drifted off when feeding her. He's finally realised it's hard work. Keeping her in the same room as him when she cries obviously helped make him understand how difficult it is.

fedupofrainydays · 28/11/2014 09:59

So jealous of big sleeps! R is over 10 weeks and still feeds every 3 to 4 hours at night. 2 in the day! He's a right chubster though so Prob explains it!

STIGZ · 28/11/2014 10:02

cj is your ds cough getting worse? Just keep an eye on it getting worse as one of the parents in dd's nursery newborn developed bronchitis, she's had 3 kids and she said she thought it was just a cold! My baba has a cough also, and sounds quite crackly at times? Im at docs this morning for her 6 week check, so will see what he says.

gunwalloe · 28/11/2014 10:58

Baby's lost another 2 oz in two days so I've got to start the top ups I will probably be asking you ff ladies lots of silly questions over the next few days. Here's the first I've bought a starter pack with pre sterilised bottles when I put the teat in her mouth do the holes go at the top or bottom?

Me23 · 28/11/2014 11:10

Back from gp, my Bp med has been halved again so only on 200mg once a day. Hope Bp behaves. I'm also on my 3rd lot of antibiotics since the birth this time for a ear infection, it's so painful I had to ask for codydramol though that barely touches the pain either.

V is now on ranitidine 0.3 x3 a day seems quite a low dose compared to whst some of your babies are on. I didn't know the liquid ranitidine has alcohol in it it stinks!

V slept in her crib for 5 hours straight, yes the sleepyhead does not work for us.

Me23 · 28/11/2014 11:18

granny sorry to hear about your mil, do you know her prognosis? I hope treatment is an option.

gun is it a shaped teat if so the slanted bit should face baby's tongue.

BadgerInBury · 28/11/2014 11:20

Hurrah for Friday! My night off! I've expressed all week so I can hand Baby Badger over to DP's care for the night and then I'm going to drink a glass of wine for the first time in 11 months! Eat my dinner while it's still hot! Have a bath on my own! Go to sleep at 9:30pm! Oh, happy day...

gunwalloe · 28/11/2014 11:28

me yes it's a orthodontic one baby keeps gagging on it but I've got 30ml into her I don't know if that's a lot for a 9 week old?
That's great news about the meds!

ExcitedCJ · 28/11/2014 11:43

STIGZ I have him at the GP now, sitting waiting. It doesn't seem to have shown any improvement since last week. Poor wee mite is sicking up phlegm and his chest is so sticky sounding. I'm wrecked from holding him up at night to sleep.
And the H (D still removed) has got man flu so I am looking after 3 humans other than myself today. Big amounts of respect for those with more than 2 kids, this is tough stuff!

ExcitedCJ · 28/11/2014 13:03

Ah! Antibiotics for the poor wee sod. Doc said his chest was very crackly sounding & congested. Sad
