Lori ? glad the doc?s advice was reassuring
Chester ? I use the Babybjorn with the extra back support as I have a dodgy back (it wraps round the waist as well as over the shoulder). I?ve always found it really comfortable, the only hassle is constantly having to readjust it as DP uses it as well. And Emma was born on 16 July (14 days overdue!!)
HC ? keeping fingers crossed for you for speedy laptop delivery ? how very annoying!
Kayzed ? really hope the cream does the trick, nice and fast!
Twirl ? sorry you?re feeling down, I think like someone said we?re all getting to the stage now where real life is catching up with us after the births, we don?t have the adrenalin to get us through any more. I?m sure it will get better though as we (eventually!!) get routines a bit more sorted. And apparently crying is supposed to peak at 2 ? 3 months, so should start to improve soon?
Mistypeaks ? hope things were better for you today
UsandBump ? feel for you as I experienced similar situations when my mother and MIL were around quite a lot after the birth. They were both convinced that her frequent crying was all linked to ?a pain in her tummy? and not the fact that she wanted another feed (she was feeding like a monster, every 1.5 hours). I?d practically have to mug them to get the screaming baby back so I could feed her . They meant well of course but that didn?t help! Re bottle feeding, of course it's probably worth it being your DH who persists rather than you, though it?s always really hard to know at what point to give up. It's tricky isn't it, my DP is very sensitive to any criticism on nappy changing technique etc (and there has been some!) .
Re daytime sleeping, Emma naps in the vibrating chair, or if she is very overtired / overstimulated her moses basket (with a dummy) is usually the best bet. The books (for what it's worth) say to try and remove as much outside stimulation as possible once they get to that really fractious stage, so taking them into darkened rooms, making sure the radio / tv is turned down etc, and putting them into their familiar beds. Sometimes it works like a charm, other times it?s a complete failure .
Thanks for all your nice comments about Emma and the pics .
