kbaby - you shouldn't feel guilty if your mum looks after your lo. you deserve a break.... from this 24 hr care!

lori 21 - my dd hardly sleeps during the day - maybe half an hour of deep sleep. she dozes off in the car - fortunately she has just started sleeping through the night about 9.30 - 7. sometimes she wakes in the night and fidgets - i have to lie absolutely still as if she knows i am awake she starts to wake up more making sucky noises.

i had to bf her most of the evening as she was so grumpy, i also gave her a bottle of formula and she still wasn't satisfied. i can only think that she was so overtired that all she can think about is food hungry or not.

as i am self employed i've been trying to do some work at home very hard indeed!

goodnight all!

Oh my god!! After sending you all a sympathy line how does God repay me? By giving me all manner of crap. Had treatment at chiropractors yest aft. so dd1 went to PIL for afternoon. MIL (as ever) 'forgot' to buy any full fat milk.(I suppose I should take some with me but seriously WTF? DOes she not have a brain of her own - aagh) so dd1 woke up twice in the night asking for milk. Then woke up at 5.30 this morning with a nappy so wet she could have swam out of her cot. She then peed all over the floor when I was changing her (she runs off at the first opportunity). dd2 woke in between dd1 waking (probably on account of her sister screaming and me in and out of bedroom). To top it all off after my conversation with Kayzed promising to go to docs I then find a huge lump in my boob last night so now I suppose I really do have to go. I can only do evening surgery so DH can have dds when he gets home from work - I just worry that at that time docs are really going to try and rush me out the door?!!?
Anyway I'll stop whingeing. Hope all of us have a good day today.

Aw, Mistypeaks {{{{{hugs}}}}}}
Good luck with the doctors, hope you get it looked at and ease your mind.

we had a terrible night last night. He woke up at 1, 2, 3 for over an hour, 5 and 6
Please, God, let it improve!!

Sefton's excema is getting worse, really sad about it. Have done what the doctor suggested but it is not helping. Might now try swapping his one ff a day to a soya based product.

He adctually managed to get his whole hand in his mouth yesterday! Quite impressive, really!

Hope u all well

I knew someone in a similar situation re excema. They had to come off dairy and wheat. Hard I imagine, but damn was it worth it. From the reddest angriest, flaky skin to that of a gl owing peach!! If you're bf I imagine you'd have to change your diet. Don't know for sure, but just an idea.

Morning ladies

misty-deffo get to the Drs hun. MIL's are from hell

Sleep-your night was worse than mine then-poor you! We used to watch Sophie putting her hand in her mouth on the numerous scans we had-she still does it.

kayzed-sore throats are not good are they. It is the aches and shivers I have got with mine.

Last night Sophie woke at 3-30am which is not bad but she was full of cold-bless her. Fed her for 1/2 hour and put her back then she yelled and yelled and yelled. Wound the pram bit up so her head was raised, rubbed Snuffle Babe on her chest and put Karvol drops on a hanky. I was up and down for 2 hours and kept wrapping her blanket round her. Am buying a sleeping bag today!

Praying that my laptop arrives today. When I E-Mailed and asked when it was posted I was told it was in the hands of the P.O.! Yes, but when did you post it?????? BAH!!! Have paid £23.95 for Special Delivery which is next day so if it comes today it means he only posted it yesterday. GGGGGRRRRHHHHH!!!!!

Love to all and hope our day is full of sunshine and smiley thoughts. (Blimey, what a load of cr*p!)

HC,
Can't remember what you said: did you pay via paypal? If you did you are covered (to £500 I think), so if it all goes wrong you should be OK.
Hope it arrives tomorrow though! If they sent it special delivery shouldn't there be a tracking number they can give you?

usandbump- to get ds to sleep during the day I cuddle him put his dummy in and stick his face in my armpit. For some reason he seems to nod off really quickly if his face is covered. Apart from that he falls asleep in the car seat. He wont sleep in his buggy much or his swing now and if i even attempt to leave him cry he just doesnt stop until hes sick so I dont try that anymore. DD was a terrible napper and even now at 2 she will only sleep in the car or if you hold her like a baby and rock her which isnt easy at 2 stone. I just cry out of frustration some days as im so fed up of holding him all the time.
HC - Dh's are just bigger children, I asked dh to book next week off to help me out a bit. I asked him this 4 weeks ago and surprise surprise he hasnt booked it and is now making excuses as to why he cant I havent caught up on the posts yet so sorry if im missing some things thats going on for you.
nuria- we ssaw a cranial ostopath with DS and it seemed to work, he screamed all the way through every session but it certaintly helped with his wind and when he does cry now its not such a angry cry.

Can I please order one of those babies who sleep through. DS fed at 8pm, 12.30, 2.20 and 5am last night. Ive also stopped giving him the dummy at night as I got fed up of putting it back in but as he hasnt found his thumb it means hes quite unsettled in the night. I also want a baby who sleeps in the day alone.

Iam blos- weve officially started potty training today, ive sent her to nursery in knickers !

FirstAtForty - thanks for that ill keep it in mind, my contract with them has ended now so maybe ill also be looking for another provider. Also I found going back at work less stressful than I anticipated on DD, just get a good routine sorted and itll be fine.

kbaby - if you get one of those babies who sleep through the night and during the day can we share him!

sleepisfortheweak - I have had terrible excema since I was a baby. We moved to a house with a water softener fitted and my excema disappeared. A rather expensive option but it worked for me. Have you looked into the excema society?

mistypeaks - hope all goes well at the docs

What I want to know why is it that my ds does everything he never does at home whilst we are at the postnatal group. Last week he fell asleep on me (never does this!) and this week he was sick - on himself and on me. Because he has only been sick twice since he was born I was not prepared so some kind mother gave me my changing back and I had to search to the bottom for something to wipe it up with! Children - they never stop surprising you

HI everyone,
kbaby, went to the chiropractic today for my dd reflux. She cried all through the treatment. Seemed quite an invasive thing to me, tbh. Last monday with the craneal osteopath she was so peaceful and smily! Now I dont know which treatment should I continue. Both therapist said their method was more indicated for reflux (of course)...I'm really confused .
Regarding sleeping routine my dd would sleep through the night but we wake her up at 1 and at 4:30 because she doesn't have reflux during the night and those are her best feeds.
Considering using Nanny formula. Anyone uses it?

Evening all,

Hugs to those of you feeling down ATM.

Mistypeaks - Let us know how you get on at the docs.

Sleep - Re the excema - Don't use Johnson's products - My DS developed bad excema when he was born, I stopped using Johnson's and it cleared up. Can't use soap on him either. I've only recently started using a mild wash on him. He's now 3.5. Hope this helps and sorry if you've already been told.

Oldiemum - I didn't realise teething could start so early. Kavya has been chewing her hands a lot, dribbling and has had very runny poos.(Sorry TMI) So she must be teething.

Must go now have a good night all. (Let's hope LO's sleep well tonight!)

Hey all. The day just did not get better. Too much to go into.
Nuria - follow your instinct on the treatment - a mother does know best.
dd2 is teething too. Noticed it last week only realised I meant to post on it when I read a few of you are going through the same thing. dd1 started at about 13 weeks, but then not much else happned (i.e. actual teeth until she was 7 months!! Weird)
Anyway sleep well all.
God I'm so fed up.

Hello. Haven't posted in an age but do keep up with your posts, just never have a moment to post myself! DS is still feeding every 2 hours during the day, except today when for a treat he decided to feed every 1 1/2 hours . I'm begininng to feel a bit like a milking cow! He was weighed today and at 14 weeks weighs 17lbs 9oz so I can kind of see where my milk is going . Is he the biggest of the bunch?
Bloss and Kbaby, I am on day 6 of potty training with DD (2.6) and first 3 days were hardwork (we stayed in so had cabin fever) but we have now had three dry days with only 1 'accident'. Poos are a different matter and are being withheld (sorry, tmi!) Let me know how you are getting on with it....
I'm feeling really tired all the time and felt v weepy today for the first time in ages. Don't know what set me off, every day just feels like groundhog day, a neverending cycle of feeding/nappies/potty/cooking/packing bags to leave the house/cleaning/washing/washing/more washing etc etc...Oh well, better go pack the change bag so we can make it to playgroup by 9am!

Love the pics First, Emma is soooo pretty!

It sounds like most of us are going through the mill at the mo, I just keep telling myself it can't last forever and making mysef get out of the house with Zack. I should have lost a stone in the last few weeks with all the walking I have done and have legs like Kate Moss but no

Zack seems to have finally shaken his cold just in time for his jabs next week, I'm dreading them I don't know if it was just a coincidence but he changed completely after the last lot, not sleeping, poorly, grumpy, lack of weight gain, loose nappies. I don't want it all back again!

Zack is still feeding every 2 hours during the day and every 2-3 hours through the night.

Dp and I had our first parenting dispute last night! Since he has got rid of this cold we decided to try the bottle again with Zack, the first night was great after grumbling he had 3.5ozs.
Tried again last night and he screamed. Dp kept trying for about 5 mins and Zack got really upset I waited as long as I could then said I would feed him. Dp said we have to keep trying and I said no so I waited for dp to hand Zack over and he didn't! I had to really snap at him (which I never do) and he handed him to me and walked away.
I fed Zack and then went to find dp, he was ok I think he had calmed down by then. He wants me to go out and leave them to it I said I won't.
What do you all think?

Usandbump,
It is similar with us sometimes. I think we moms spend so much more time with the babies, so we know when something is going to work and when it is just going to get worse.

I feel rubbish today - have a thumping headache. Sefton was up about 5 times again last night. I think half the problem is he is in our room, so I wake up to each little whimper. If he had his own room he might settle himself more.... It is hard to just let him settle himself because it takes so long, and I need to sleep too!

Tried to clean the house yesterday, amongst doing a few chores and going to the doctors, but it just seems to get worse... I feel like I cannot get on top of ANYTHING any more, and it is so frustrating because - as you all know - there is no "me" time in there. I am lucky in that he is pretty much chilled during the day, so I can take him out, but the lack of sleep every night is making me a tad grumpy!

Sorry, moan over!
