kay, of course you can remember how many weeks Roshi is...I just want you to remember ME. [blush} My english is just awful...sorry!

HumphreysCorner · 08/10/2006 16:05

Afternoon ladies

Gracias nuria and thank you girls for your kind wishes.

prettymummified-why were you up sooo early or were you feeding and if so how did you find time to go on the PC? Staggering performance

Well, here I am at 37. Am still a tad stressed out and level increased somewhat when DD1 climbed up to a cupboard I thought she couldn't reach and emptied all her B'Day 1, 2 & 3, 1st Christmas, Birth and Christening Cards all over. She emptied my keepsake box with all the scans and pieces of hair etc. Luckily it is all intact but it nearly wasn't. I screamed so hard I now have a sore throat. I am such a bad mother but the whole thing made me shake and brought on the floods of tears. I was cooking downstairs and she was helping me but disappeared-thought she had gone to the loo. Anyway, SIL is taking her horse to the Hunter Trials so DD1 has gone along. I took Sophie to Tescos to buy myself a B'Day cake. Even had to fight back the tears driving to Tescos.

DH did suggest a lunchtime meal out but as we are a bit skint at the moment I said no and I think he was relieved.

Sophie only woke once last night so that was good.

Bought a new bra last week and put it on for the first time today and have realised 38C is not big enough so going to have to get a 38D Where oh where have my 34B days gone???

Sleep-what a fab piccie. Bigger piccies are so much better.

usandbump-better night for you too and hey, I started Crimbo shopping in September. Takes me forever when I can't just go out and come back and wrap. Will take even longer this year as DD1 is old enough to know what I'm buying so will have shop with just Sophie. DD1 has a habit of telling someone what the present is.

MIL popped round with my pressie last night and we didn't have any drink to offer her (apart from Blossom Hill white wine which she won't drink) as we are just buying the bare minimum. Anyway, a bottle of my beloved Blossom Hill came back with DH after he dropped DD1 off. Happy days.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

FirstAtForty · 08/10/2006 17:31

Happy birthday HC - hope you're getting stuck into the Blossom Hill and enjoying some cake now . Sorry to hear your day?s been a bit rough so far.

UsandBump - gosh you're a testament to the restorative powers of sleep, hurrah! Glad things are going better now

Sleep ? great pic, you both really look as though you?re having fun, and Sefton?s a sweetheart!! Re your question about my age, it?s a fairly flattering pic (you can see my grey roots in RL !) However I do swear by the preservative qualities of alcohol

Maewest ? how awful, really hope you hear some good news soon {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

Nuria ? respect ? furnishing a whole house from ebay ! You must be a dedicated bargain hunter. I was very proud of myself for getting a decent pram for £20 on ebay, but have been a bit rubbish at shopping lately.

Emma is cranky as hell today, think it may be related to her weekly bowel movement (which she has just had). I tried her with 2oz of formula last night just to see if she would take it, in case I have to go out and there isn?t enough EBM in the freezer (supplies are usually pretty low). She took it no problem which is good, but now I?m wondering if it has contributed to the bowel discomfort. Though one bowel movement a week?s probably cause enough on its own

Have a nice evening all xx

FirstAtForty · 08/10/2006 18:12

Van - yes it's working, and she's SO pretty !!

superblue · 08/10/2006 18:17

Evening ladies

Have caught up on all your postings over the last week.

Maewest - hope you hear some good news soon xx

Holiday in Cornwall was great although DH did his back in on Monday carrying Josh in his baby carrier so that ruled out any walks along the coast/beach etc or anywhere that we couldn't take the pram as I can't carry DS for any length of time! I now feel like I have 2 children to look after as DH is being all pathetic (thou I have noticed he is picking and choosing what he can and can't do ).

Van - solids - wow!! I don;t think Josh is anywhere near ready for that - and, as a 1st time mum, just thinking about it makes me a little nervous!!

Just had to 'endure' a visit to MIL as she hasn't seen DS for, ooh, a week - only had 4 comments about how he is 'just like his dad' but then again, we were only there for an hour!! (MIL rant over now)

Am starting my diet tomorrow so wish me luck. I am very determined this time and even went to the gym this morning - it made me realise how much I have missed going to the gym for the last 6 months as I was a bit of a gym bunny before becoming pg.

superblue · 08/10/2006 18:18

HC = sorry meant to say Happy Birthday and I hope you have had a fab day and enjoy lots of lovely Blossom hill this evening

nuria · 08/10/2006 18:18

Getintheback, what a gorgeous baby!
First, you are right, my hunger for bargains is almost pathological! I'll love to start selling things as well, but I'm completely unable to do more than writing emails with my computer.
BTW, hope this link to dd works!Olivia

nuria · 08/10/2006 18:21

what did I tell you?
will try again

FirstAtForty · 08/10/2006 18:26

Anyone going to watch Birth Night on 5 tonight?

nuria · 08/10/2006 18:31

First, I'm not sure that I like the idea behing this programme...seems a little bit too much. What do you think? (Will probably end up watching it anyway, otherwise my curiosity will eat me )

FirstAtForty · 08/10/2006 18:31

Nuria - aaaaawwwwwww, she's absolutely lovely !! Great Mona Lisa smile !

FirstAtForty · 08/10/2006 18:35

Nuria - hmmm yes, could be a bit grim, the woman who has agreed to live filming of her birth must be completely bonkers. As if giving birth wasn't scary and mind blowing enough without doing it on national TV! Will probably watch the beginning of the show and see what it's like. Though I'm sure i'll have difficulty convincing DP to watch for 2 whole hours

chester30 · 08/10/2006 18:41

i've just seen a chimp give birth on monkey world. the chimp caught the baby in her hand.
yes i can't understand howanyone would want their birth televised. I bet she's been at a beauty salon for ages being waxed!

chester30 · 08/10/2006 18:43

happy birthday hc!!!!

GetInTheBackOfTheVan · 08/10/2006 19:39

anyway, hes looking after LO tonight im having an early night! Thanks to the sleeping tablets anyway. night x x

HumphreysCorner · 08/10/2006 22:25

Ooh-more gorgeous piccies.

Have just watched Birth Night Live-shame we didn't get a normal delivery live-oh well.

Had another falling out at tea time with DD1 and I heard her say to DH that mummy is horrible to her I am struggling to handle her at the moment and feel that I have a v. short fuse. It is really cutting me up but I can't do a thing to stop it. Felt like this half way through expecting Sophie. DH keeps telling me off for being nasty to her and I keep trying to tell him that I am going through a difficult patch at the moment-bloody hormones.

I lurve your new names-think I need a new image but goodness knows what I can have.

Lol at dos cafe con leche por favor or dos cervezas. Also learnt uno helado menthe chocolate com pelo (or y pelo). Think I've spelt it nearly right. DH ordered a mint choc ice cream when we were on our honeymoon in Spain and when it arrived it had one of the waiter's hairs in it-we did laugh and everytime DH has one we still laugh about it. Little things and all that!

Bed time so nighty night all.
