Well he's still a bit croaky but didn't seem to stop him wanting 3rds of dinner . He seems to have got over the lactose thing but to be honest he drinks no milk, doesn't like yoghurt but he is a cheese monster so maybe he just self selects what suits him.
It often feels like i have more than 3 kids, my eldest keeps suggesting they all wear badges as I always call them the wrong names

maisiemog · 19/11/2006 23:12

I'm glad to hear littlegeog is on the mend. It hasn't affected his appetite then?!
Thirds! I couldn't eat thirds!
I got in from work tonight and made dinner and Alfie had a bit, but was much more interested in his cars. Then DP mentioned that whilst he was out with his grandparents he had had a scone. I was like 'A whole scone?'
So not really that much of a surprise.
Yay Tweenie doing a peepee on the loo!!!
Alfie says 'carsth' do toddlers always have a lisp or is he going to grow up to be Sylvester the cat?

biglips · 20/11/2006 19:27

tweenie is having a 2 year assessment on 5th dec.

oh and she had another wee in the potty ..ohh i cant control myself!!

Maisymog how is your gran? Hope she is on the mend!

Grace is doing well at doing wees and poos on her potty but no time to actually "train" her - shall wait till Xmas holidays. She has started to read to herself now - she gets a book and repeats the words - she was reawding tiger today by Nick Butterworth "real tiger" "jump real tiger" - it was so funny! All the meaning was there!
Am also tryign to sell the idea of bunkbeds to the girls....not having much luck though!

maisiemog · 21/11/2006 01:30

Hi all,
my nan is now off the oxygen and has no drips, so we are very pleased with her. She even had a little walk, with a frame, so of course the hospital are like 'get out!' so they can get the bed back. However the physio has assured my mum that they will not be releasing her until she is happy that she will be able to get up stairs and has built up her strenth, which will probably be sometime at the weekend or on Monday.
My poor mum is not up to lifting my nan in and out of the bath, so I hope the hospital is sensible about sending her home when she is fairly independent.
I'm going over with Alf tomorrow to visit her and to give Alfie another opportunity to press all the buttons on the digital display next to my nan's bed.
Big applause to the babies doing peepees and stuff.
That's great that Grace is reading already. She'll be onto the Times next and doing the crossword.
I don't think Alfie is quite there yet. He is very good at telling me the sounds of letters though, so eventually he might be able to piece together a word. Like he knows my cup that says 'mog' is 'mmmm' 'ooo' 'gggg' and he climbs up onto my head trying to reach it, whilst I hold it at arms length and he says 'mmmmmm' 'gggg' and tries to get hold of it. I'm so tired.
Cazzy you must be pooped! I hope you are getting your feet up when you can.
Have you got any names in mind yet for young Edwin(a)?

cazzybabs · 21/11/2006 21:19

Oh I am glad your gran is getting better. Fingers crossed she wil be able to go home WHEN she is ready!

My computer is making a strange humming noise - hummmm.Grace finally had a "professional photo" taken at nursery - the last 2 times she was refused but this time she finally did it! It is shame because this is a typical nursery one with a horrid blue screen behind, where as the last one was a funky one with a white background - still never mind! And they are so blooming expenisve, but if you don't get it its admitting your child is ugly and rejecting them outright!

maisiemog · 21/11/2006 23:39

Hi again.
Thank Cazzy!
My nan actually walked today with a frame on wheels, it reminded me of when Alfie was using his walker things and one of them had really spinny wheels so he couldn't quite keep up with them.Whiiiiizzzzz! Aaaaaargh!
She is going to have to practice with that.
I reckon she will be kept in until at least the weekend, as noone has mentioned her leaving again and when we get there they don't have her waiting outside with a suitcase like Paddington bear. Please look after this Granny!
You know you could always say 'Oh this photograph is a bit too amateurish for me, I think it's over-exposed and the lighting is all wrong'
How are you feeling Cazzy, no sicky feeling yet?

biglips · 22/11/2006 09:10

Maisie - Im so glad that your gran is getting better

Thanks Biglips!
We don't get that 2 year check anymore in my area. You will have to tell me what happens. I'm very curious, especially as Alfie won't get one.
[curious face]

laneydaye · 22/11/2006 19:06

hello everyone, i searched for this thread for days a coupl eof weeks ago, then up it pops..
I was just whinging about how hard dd has become, she is driving me crazy!!! will read some of the earlier posts to try and get some advice or even to just hear how someone else feels just the same....

cazzybabs · 22/11/2006 19:07

it appears we don't get a two year check either.

No sickness...yet! but then I asn't really sick with Grace, only with dd1.

Grace's new favourite word is "bit dairy" (scary) - and everything is "bit dairy" which when she says everone goes "ahhhh" - I think Oh god another neurotic child!

biglips · 23/11/2006 08:33

today we are going to the LIBRARY!!!!!....... this will be my first test but DD is NOT a quiet child as very loud...

wish me luck! xx

Congatulations cazzybabs!

Just started 'potty-training' dd1 - being relaxed about it - definitely wearing nappies when we are out. Grace is quite good at doing poohs in the potty - esp when she gets a star on the chart. Wees are a bit hit and miss (literally ).

Going back to work in Jan, going to be 40 in March and may even get around to getting married next year - hopefully before I have a 3rd (a possibility ) mind you I said that about the first two.!

maisiemog · 23/11/2006 22:49

Hi Hotmama, So another baby eh? they're a bit addictive aren't they?
I know what you mean about the 'miss', I have found peepee is the thing that Alfie forgets about when he is playing. But today all the peeps were on the potty, which is good considering he has a cold. One day at a time.
Oh and he gave the cold to me, by going AAAATCHOOOOO! right in my face about ten times yesterday. Bleuch! wiping my face. Groo!
I haven't braved outside with no nappy yet. I can't be bothered, but I do feel bad putting a nappy on him when he's not used to it. Plus I do think it confuses him.
Let us know if you do go out and how you get on though.
So that's the first cold this year.
Anyone else had their first cold yet??
This evening I heard DP saying, 'Hello Alfie, where did you get that?' and then he escorted Alfie back with my full mug of lemsip, which Alfie had carried through to the kitchen without me noticing. He announced it was 'Juice' to DP and 'umum' (delicious). He didn't spill a drop though.
LaneyDaye sorry I meant to say hi before, but I was a bit preoccupied. What is happening with your DD?

cazzybabs · 24/11/2006 12:36

Biglips how was the library? I love going to the library - so relaxing being able to read all those books and ours often has crafty things to do!

biglips · 24/11/2006 18:48

welcome back laneyday - dont worry as mine drives me up the wall too. i have to have a time out with her as she is so bossy (takes after me!!) and whenever i ask him to come away from the curtains its always "NO!".... till i get to the point when i start get worked up!! ggrrr! She is even harder work when she is tired too.

Well at the library was ok...dd couldnt take it all in with millions of books everywhere but after 10 mins - i had to grab all the books and dash out as dd started to grab all the other books and gave it to the libarian assistant behind us who was putting other books away.... i couldnt shout at dd but she was all "HIYA"..."HIYA!" "BOOK"..."BOOK"..."BYE BYE"....(yelling all over the library)

ive decided next time is to put her harness on!

biglips · 24/11/2006 19:05

oh..there is one thing i hate what my dd does.... if i shout at her, she bites her fingers really hard

OP posts:
prettymum · 24/11/2006 19:08

breakfast and lunch we'll eat together but dinner time i eat with dp when he comes from work which is after her bedtime. so she eats seperately (sp?) then. maybe i'll have to eat dinner with her?? she just picks and its so frustrating to watch, but i dont want to make so she gets scared off. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant believe how little kids can get to you!!

other than that we're all good, im gonna get both dc readt for bed and read through everyones messages properly.

prettymum · 24/11/2006 19:09

when dd gets grumpy she'll spit all her chewed up food out of her mouth! yuk!!
