I was shocked to read your bad news Jbadgirl and just had to post to say I am thinking of you and Toby. You will be in our prayers. Take care of yourself and your DH and feel proud that you were such a good mummy to a very special little boy.

Jbad, I'm so sorry. You have had such a difficult time and so did Toby, but I really think you have been the most amazing mum and done everything right.
It's so hard to take this in, so sudden.
I'm crying for Toby and you, I think you have had a lovely smiley little boy who had a happy life you with you and who made you happy - what do you do?
He only had a little short life, but he seems to have enjoyed it and brought happiness to lots of people.
I can't imagine how you are feeling, but you have our support on this thread.
If I can do anything, or if you want to talk to anyone you can email me at maisiemog at gmail dot com.
So sorry Jbad and Toby.

jbadgirl · 02/08/2007 21:10

Thankyou to everyone sending their thoughts our way.
We went to see him earlier and he looked so peaceful as he lay sleeping he even had a smile on his face little pickle as always!
We do feel so very proud to have been his mummy and daddy and to have had him in our lives. He touched so many people on his journey of life and tolerated everything along the way. He will be missed by so many people and they all feel very special to have had the opportunity to be a part of his life. I know that this was his time, and this is how and when he chose to go. He had to have things his way and I know that my mum will take good care of him up there. She finally gets to meet him.
He has gone to Great Ormond street for PM as they do not know cause. We hope to get him back soon and start arranging a special day where all can celebrate his life and say a final goodbye. We have so many lovely happy memories. What a happy little boy and he can rest peacefully at last. x

jbad - you ARE such an amazing mum {{{hugs}}} and Toby is very proud to have you as his mum too (and also his Dad too). How is Tobys Dad taking it??

Please, please, please, if there's anything at all that we can do even it's just to listen then please let us know. I remember the photos you posted of him, he was such a smiley, gorgeous little boy & I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

Jbad, I'm glad you have seen him and he was smiling - he always seemed to be a smiley little boy. He must have gone peacefully.
I hope your mum gives him lots of hugs and kisses when they meet.
Let us know what is happening after the PM?
Big hugs to you.

I have added lots of pics on my profile now so feel free to look at my happy little chappy.

Heard from coroner about Toby and there are no obvious causes of his death so they are going to look at his brain. They will have it for at least a week so we wont hear for a while. I have asked if they can keep him there till they have finished as I want him as one. Will keep you all posted as we hear and thanks again for all your support x x

Biglips · 03/08/2007 20:30

jbad - What exactly disability that Toby had? as i cant remember cos it was that long ago you said or not said. Are you still going ahead to find out the blood results and the lumba puncture etc?

prettymum · 03/08/2007 20:37

jbad toby seems like he was such a happy little!! such a big smiler!! you must be so proud of him!

KathH · 03/08/2007 21:01

jbadgirl - thanks for sharing the photos with us. Such a smiley, chirpy, lovely little boy & thats how he always came across in your posts. Love to you & Toby's daddy.

jbadgirl · 03/08/2007 22:11

He had severe development delay, poor vision and possible microcephaly and possible cerebral palsy.

Our community nurse has been fantastic and spoken to all about our loss. We have asked her to find out if we can still get results as its important to find out what they are and may be helpful if we have any future children. We were due to get some on monday and on the 17th so if they either write to us with them or we can go and see the docs. Doesnt matter either way but it may be easier for us to meet them as result always are in jargon and need explaining.
Will keep you posted on those too.

maisiemog · 03/08/2007 22:30

I was just looking at Toby's photos and he was so gorgeous. What a lovely personality he had, it really shines through, especially the last photo.
I hope you are both doing OK.

Hi all, thanks again for all your kind thoughts it means a lot.
Heard from the coroner today and they are still waiting for results from pm. Toby is back in chichester now as they did pm in great ormond street. The dr who did the pm is on holiday now till the 20th so we should get the cause of death and the results then. Only another wait for 10 days. Im sure Toby is chuckling to himself up there as things were never stright forward for us! Its probably him having the last laugh!

Trying to sort out our Dla as we had asked them to look at it again in march as Tobys needs had changed. They had sent us a letter saying that from 19/10/07 (his birthday) they would give us higher rate for care and mobility. I had wanted them to look at it from when i sent the claim off back in march. After speaking with them they are going to look again as the changes happened in Jan. Another battle I am fighting!!!!! They also said that we had been paid upto 7th August and were due no more payments, thenon 7th they bloody paid us again! Will they ever get things right. I have put it in savings so when they want it back I wont have spent it.

We also had a letter from the neurologist ssaying that we could meet to get all his results. Provisionally arranged for the 29th Aug but weill try and bring it forward as that may be when Tobys funeral will be and I couldnt cope with both in one week!

Anyway hope everyone is ok and enjoying the nice weather. I have been fishing today with Dh and had a relaxing time reading Harry Potter whilst he did the fishing! I did have a go and caught a tiddler! Wasnt even as big as my hand!!!
