Hello

There's no reason for him having C's birht certificates now. He 'borrowed' them to open a savings account with police benevolent or some such excuse - though I've repeatedly asked for them back he's not given them to me - The solicitor found this odd and asked me if there were anywhere he could 'take' C out of the country!!! So I'm NOT mad for having suspicions Though I also know this is HIGHLY unlikely.

I'm filling in forms for CSA as we 'speak' he's not going to be a happy bunny - but he's also left me no alternative.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 23/10/2006 17:09

Must confess my first thought was could he be trying to get a passport and squirrelling C out of country.

Can't get into msn atm for some reason will phone you tomorow if you still want to meet up on Friday.

Simplyred · 23/10/2006 20:50

Hello!

In a grump today - not really sure why! dh has anoyed me though - many little things building up!

oh yes Wabbitt get the birth certificate back.. they say all things are fair in love and war. Question everything trust nothing!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 07:25

Morning all

SR - Hope you aren't feeling grumpy this morning.

Still having problems with D sleeping so have stared a thread here

IdrisTheDragon · 24/10/2006 18:43

Hello .

I am in a hotel room all on my own as I am on a course with work (until Friday). Am missing Alice and DS (and DH) ). And have to prepare things for tomorrow as well.

Am hoping for some good sleep though...

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 24/10/2006 20:14

Sorry you are away from your family. I do hope you get to catch up on your sleep and return to them revitalised though. In a way I you the opportunity to sleep.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 25/10/2006 07:30

Morning all

Managed to get D to sleep for 9 last night and in his cot. He woke at 1, 3 and 6 which is an improvement on not going to bed till 12 then waking at 1, 3 and 6.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Simplyred · 25/10/2006 13:42

Hello!

Welldone D - hope sleep continues to improve Mh.

Hello Idris - hope the course is going wellxxx

IdrisTheDragon · 25/10/2006 13:58

Hello .

Briefly popping in but we are about to start again soon. Course is pretty intensive .

jaampire · 25/10/2006 13:59

Mummyhill - Sending you all (esp little D) big sleep vibes. Hope things get better soon and someone can offer you some good advice on your thread.
Idris hope the time away from home flies - I hate being away with work and you can NEVER get a good night's sleep in a hotel.
Wabbitt - hope the CSA forms were relatively painless and at least your mind will be a little more at rest when you have C's birth certs back.
SR - hope your mood has passed. I'm sure DH has done something to deserve it - they often do!! I haven't had a good grump in aaages.
Long overdue! Tonnes of fireworks here too. Usually just as DDs have dropped off to sleep.
Mamama - is it still snowing with you - it's freeeezing here. Could be snowing outside for all I know but as usual have no window to look out of!!!
Hope everyone else ok?
No hair loss here - if anything I've gotten hairier!!
Is anyone else dressing up their LOs for Halloeen? Wouldn't normally bother but nursery is having a fancy dress competition. Think it's actually rather cruel to dress up a 1 yo. Any ideas how I can dress her up but not dress her up, iyswim? DD1 is going as a pumpkin fairy, of course.

IdrisTheDragon · 26/10/2006 08:02

Morning everyone .

This course is hard work. But fun as well.

And I am managing to get some good sleep as well (sorry to all those not getting good sleep).

I have to give a 25 min training session today. Am feeling a bit nervous...

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 08:14

Don't talk to me about sleep very of those getting more than 3 hrs sleep. Got in form work at midnight to a wide awake little boy. He eventualy went to sleep at 2 am in my arms on the sofa. Tried to transfer to the cot and he woke up. Gave in and took him to bed with me. He was awake at 5.30 and is full of beans as is his bigs sister who luckily was not disturbed by his antics last night.

mollyollymummy · 26/10/2006 12:16

Morning all, how's everyone doing? My 18 yo dd has just broke up with her boyfriend of 2 and a half years she's so upset it's heartbreaking to watch. I've always dreaded this time comming girls are so emotional, the trouble is,they still want to see each other and phone each other as she says he's her best friend, but idon't really know how that's gong to work it's just going to mess with their emotions even more.Give me some advice girlies, it's so hard to see your child upset like that.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 12:45

mollyollymummy - Hugs to your dd. All I can suggest is giving lots of hugs and reasurance and letting her work it out herself. I knw it's not easy but from distant memory thaeres not much a parent can do to help except be there with tea and sympathy. No neg comments about him but plenty of positive ones about her iyswim. Good luck.

mollyollymummy · 26/10/2006 13:45

Thanks Mummyhill, I know she will work it out herself.

I hope you start to get more sleep very soon. Molly's always slept well, but my ds2 hardly slept so i used either bring him in bed with us or sleep in his room with him in the spare bed as it was the only thing that seemed to work, tried the controlled crying thing, but he would get himself in such a state and try to make himself sick that I would give in because it seemed easier.Do what yo have to do to get some sleep that's my advice, he will eventually settle down trust me.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 17:53

there go the tumbleweeds again.

Hope you are all having fun

jaampire · 26/10/2006 18:34

I'm here mummyhill!

MOM - hugs to your DD. Must be heart breaking seeing her heart break. At least she has ended up with a best friend out of it. Has she just finished school? If so, may be for the best, starting a new chapter in her life, etc. All you can do is be there for her.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 19:00

hi hun.

can you tell I am bored at home on my own with the kids again?

mamamaaargh · 26/10/2006 19:13

Hello everyone

Been bit busy for the past few days. No snow here, thankfully but lots of rain and wind . Still, it's good weather to stay in & cook (carrot cake in the oven as we speak and homemade soup for tea).

Sounds like everyone has a lot going on - mollyollymummy, hope your dd is feeling a bit better. It's awful when that happens and must be so hard to see her go through it. Mummyhill, sorry to hear about all your sleep problems. Lots of sympathy coming your way. No advice from me though - ds usually wakes 3 - 5 times each night. Am completely exhausted but know I am VERY lucky that he is now going to bed at a reasonable hour. Just wish he'd stay asleep! Idris, I'm glad someone is getting a good night's rest! Am sure you are missing home but I'm a little . Hotels are never the same as your own bed though.

And thanks, Mummyhill for all the help with signing. I am trying so hard to learn British ones & ds is so enthusiastic now, I feel like I need to have several ready to teach him. He seems to have made up a few signs but I don't know what they mean!

Hope everyone else is ok. Wabbitt - will e-mail you, promise.

Got to go & hunt around and create a homemade Halloween costume for myself out of nothing to wear tomorrow. Aaargh!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 19:51

Ds has now been screaming for the last hour. he was quiet long enough to eat 2 yoghurts and is now inconsolable again. He will probably be like this on and off till 2am again. Have given calpol, will be giving nurofen in about an hours time. Cuddles not working, leaving alone not working any sugestions please. Am fairly certain it is teeth but am not risking my fingers to do the teething gel thing. Powders don't seem to have any effect. Will try an ice lolly in a min just have to find one out of the freezer.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 26/10/2006 19:54

Ice lolly chucked on floor next suggestion please going insane here

mamamaaargh · 26/10/2006 21:32

Gosh MH, I'm sorry.

Have you tried a frozen flannel? If you put a wet one in the freezer for a couple of hours (so not immediately helpful) apparently that can help. I've heard a frozen bagel is also good to chew on.

Can you have a glass of wine?

mollyollymummy · 27/10/2006 09:59

Thanks everyone for the support for my dd we took her out for dinner last night to cheer her up a bit, she adores her baby sister so being around M seems to make her smile. She's seeing her ex tomorrow as it's his birthday so I hope that all goes well.

Jaampire- No she's not at school, she's almost 19,finished six form and been working for a few months, but she would love to travel, so you're right this could be the new start she needs.

Mummyhill - hope ds is feeling better my sister freezes carrots and bananas for her little one.

hope ds is feeling better, my sister freezes carrots and bananas for her liitle one.

mollyollymummy · 27/10/2006 10:00

oops! sorry don't know what went on there.

IdrisTheDragon · 27/10/2006 20:21

I am home again .

It is lovely
