MrsR, cant do tues as ds1 wants me to go with him..... Friday should be good, Austin has 1st set of jabs but should be fine. Have calpol at the ready!!!! Still in Costas.....

lunavix · 16/10/2006 20:13

Hi everyone!

dd at 7+1 (friday) was 10lb 5... little porker! it scares me she's two months next week...

When she has a bottle its tommee tippee closer to nature. Fab, and she hasn't had nipple confusion so must be doing okay so far.

She's mostly entirely bf still, I missed ONE morning of expressing and somehow can't get quite enough now to give her entirely ebm at 10pm, so it's usually mostly ebm and a tiny bit of formula. Which means she's constipated and when she poos it's a nightmare.

She's really content and just lovely.

Dh and I have started having a cleaner, it's only for the next few months (in place of me not having maternity leave and therefore wouldn't have needed a clean house) it's like a weight has been lifted (even if we can't really afford it lol)

ds starts school november 1st (preschool) ... think that's all my news!

PT - can't believe Calebs size!!

eeny - glad you're feeling better. If you ever fancy a trip on public transport, will meet you halfway somewhere for a natter!

YF - sorry dd's still being a horror, hope she settles back down soon.

melsy - glad you're finally getting sleep

pucca - dear god about georges jabs hope hes okay now

lunavix · 16/10/2006 20:15

Forgot to add I've started slimming world... I know bfing is meant to shift the pounds but the chocolate I want to scoff 24/7 isn't helping...

MrsRecycle · 16/10/2006 20:17

Okay Snowboo see you Friday in Costas around 1pm. We can compare post-jab notes

TheIgnoredWoman · 16/10/2006 20:54

SOunds good. Will check b4 to make sure you are all ok to make it, otherwise i'll look like the nutter pacing round checking for a checky pram!!! I'll have my big old Urban Bebecar monster sized pram....you'll probably hear me b4 you see me squeezing thru the door!!!!!

YF- Austin had his hearing tested in hosp but when i had ds1 it wasnt something they bothered with. Just a bit concerned as my mum is deaf, also my nan was and my uncle is and ds1 likes to ignore us or just go 'uh?' the whole time!!! Im sure he is just being a little monkey to wind me up.....

Eenybeeny hows the exercise dvd going?

PinkTulips · 17/10/2006 11:06

Snow, hope ds's hearing test goes ok (why the ignored woman btw?!)

luna, good to see you back. your doing so well with the bf-ing, is dh still being awkward about it?

eeny, of course he knows your there, he's just too little to show it yet. give it time, trust me there'll come a day when you'll be looking back wishing he was still so tiny and small and helpless! they grow up too fast.

went to the playgroup/creche where i want to send sarah yesterday and its lovely, and has a montessori attached that she can start when she's 3 until she goes to school. she'll be going in january, 3 mornings a week which we can't afford so i'd better start coming up with money making ideas quickly, ideas anyone?!

ScreamandYellowFeathers · 17/10/2006 14:15

Pinky, Ebay! You know how much I've made doing it and thats just little bits of maternity wear.
I'm seriously considering looking round the charity shops for mat wear and listing it as people just go mad for it. Well that and Laura Ashley clothes for some reason!
Glad to hear the creche was good!

Snow, DD never had a hearing test either but this newborn screening only started last year I think.
I remember my mum applying to do it as a job and telling me to look out for it as you didn't need qualifications to do it. I thought it would have been a lovely job to do.

Eeny, I'd like to hear Sals thoughts on the DVDS and how they're going lol

Micku5 · 17/10/2006 14:39

Hiy, Just a quick post. Talia had her appt at the hospital today and she is doing well. She is now over 5kgs and she seems to have settled into a night time feeding pattern of bottle at 7/8pm then 2am then 7/8am... which works for me

We are on holiday tomorrow (going to visit my parents in Seychelles) so I have to get back to the packing so I won't be online for a couple of weeks.

Hope everyone is well and I'll 'speak' with you soon.

Oh btw any news on the Xmas meet?

eenybeeny · 17/10/2006 17:15

hi all! how are you and the little ones? Hope everyone is well.

We are all doing a little better. I am taking some antidepressants now for my PND, looking forward to that helping soon.

Well my curious girls, the striptease dvd hasnt arrived yet! We are paying for it by e-cheque so it takes up to 2 weeks! As soon as I get it I will give you a full report!

luna I would love to meet you but I am scared of going on public transport alone! what a dork I am I am so sorry. It would be fun though... hmmm I will try to after my antidepressants help my anxiety soon! good luck with slimming world!

Pink there are loads of things you can sell from home (at least there are here) do you like selling? There is a montessori here we are putting Alex down on the list for now! There is an open house there on Saturday

BigHotMama · 17/10/2006 17:43

Hi everyone, wow Micku5 your going to the Seychelles very very jealous! Have a great time!

Pucca, hope George is ok now, Were you on your own too? I'm wondering about taking somebody with me for jackson's jabs next week just to calm ME down ha!

Pinky how on earth do you get time to bake? I'd love to have a go at doing my own bread sounds so nice I'm dribbling at my pc. Great news on the wheat test, you dont realise how food can affect behaviour! (I get grumpy if i dont get food lol.)

Melsy, I know how your feeling chick about the BF'ing. I'm losing my rag with it at the moment, I can only seem to express 2-3oz and thats from both boobs when they're full? Took me an hour to get that too. Also thinking of introducing more formual to Jackson as he seems to settle a lot better and sleeps for longer. When I BF during the night he can have me up every 1-2 hours even now, so I'm struggling to enjoy the night feeds. Last night was hell, he had me up at 1.30, 3, 5 and then 6.30 so had a sh*t night sleep. Not sure if he had bit of wind though as its not normally that bad.

I'm using Tommee Tippee closr to nature too, they're great and havent had any probs BF aswell.

Lunavix, I'm thinking of going back to Slimming World but havent took the plunge yet as I too am a raving chocaholic.

Managed to go for a nice swim last week though and had a jacuzzi n sauna afterwards was bliss! Did 20 lengths and felt knackered. My mom babysat for me and Jackson didnt even wake up bless him!

Sorry to hear Ellis is still puking YF. Sounds like your DD is challenging you at the moment lol.

of Booby at lower than pre-pg weight and Olivo in ya thongs! I'm still in me granny pants and still in my mat trousers. Am hoping to lose a stone for crimbo though and am thinking of buying the All Stars workout dvd.

Dreamy sending my best wishes for your mom hope she gets well soon. Good to hear you and Sophie are doing ok.

Snowboo, sounds like Jackson is doing the same biting his fists and had a snuffle. I'm gonna check to see if I can see any gnashers coming through. Lol at your new nickname!

Well Jackson has discovered he has got feet today, I put him in his bouncey chair in his vest and he kept brigning his feet up and couldnt stop staring at them, kept him amused for a whole hour bless!

Anyway hope everyone else is doing ok and cant believe its only 9 weeks for xmas! OHMYGOD!!!!!

TheIgnoredWoman · 17/10/2006 17:45

Oh ebay for maternity wear!!! Keep asking dh what on earth am i going to do with it all???!!!! Will get him to list it and sell it.

Eeny, not the only one who wont use public transport alone (in fact even with someone!) Have terrific panic attacks so cant go too far afield...And Motorways.....dont get me started on them!

As for my new name, long story and ive not been bothered to change back.....keep forgetting then remember when ive logged out.....

TheIgnoredWoman · 17/10/2006 17:48

BHM i'll have to admit to being a chocoholic even resorted to nicking ds1s earlier, bad mummy....

When can i take Austin for a swim? really really want to go......

Snowboo · 17/10/2006 18:54

ohhhhh thats better!!!!

PinkTulips · 17/10/2006 23:19

lol

how'd the hearing test go?

great news about the anti-d's eeny, i hope they make a differance for you.

BHM, i love when they start dicovering their bodies, it's just the cutest thing isn't it calebs starting to realise he can use his hands to fetch his dummy but can't quite mange to get it in his mouth, or when he does he forgets to let go and pulls it back out again, adorable!

sarahlou1uk · 18/10/2006 10:09

Morning everyone. Not been on for a while - been too busy. Hope everyone OK. Molly is now gurgling away and smiling at everyone. Got a bit of rough chapped skin on her cheeks but keep putting E45 on and it seems to be helping. Got her first lot of jabs at 12 noon today. Got the Calpol and dummy standing by! She's still got Jack's cold though and sounds like she's on 40 a day! Hope she'll be OK. I've been told they do both jabs in the legs now. When Jack had his, they did one in his arm and one in his leg. Has it now changed?

lunavix · 19/10/2006 09:47

Kiera hasn't noticed any of her body parts yet (although she makes a huge attempt to suck her thumb to my horror, I'm a much bigger fan of dummies) but she cooed at dh today which was lovely

PT - bf is SUCH a pain in the ass. Dh is kinda supporting me now (as long as I don't dare remove the bottle a day he's allowed to give her) but I'm really struggling with my supply. I've phoned NCT (apparently I'm on a callback list) my local NCT (just an answerphone) and also a local lady I know who runs a health food shop but has lots of 'alternative' treatments based in her shop (a cranioosteopath, homeopath etc). She was out too!

6 week check for me and dd on monday (when she's nearly 9 weeks!) will ask doctor too. It's just really getting me down, I end up crying most nights because it's something I really really want to do but just is seeming so futile now.

Snowboo · 19/10/2006 13:17

Hi All!

Well its official.. Ds1 has Male Selective Hearing Disorder. Apparently it will get worse the older he gets and if he ever gets married/moves in with someone then theres no hope for him. LOL. So yep all perfect and she said he has a very good sound range within his ear.... So at least we now know he just blatantly ignores us!!!! Cheeky little monkey.

Austin has his jabs tomorrow. Can he have them even thou he seems to be teething? Not got a temp as such but is a bit grizzly and warm....

hoppybird · 19/10/2006 17:41

Hello everyone!

Just came back from the clinic, where Julia had her jabs - poor little thing didn't like them at all, even though she requested a feed just before the nurse got her needle out - did calm her down afterwards.

Snowboo - they give jabs even if babies are a bit under the weather, just as long as they don't have a raised temperature - dd has a cold atm, but no temperature, so poor thing had to have the jabs despite being miserable anyway!

Sarahlou - it has changed, as there is the new PCV injection they're giving alongside the triple vac.

Also had a very sucessful parents evening yesterday - we found out that ds has a reading age of 6 and 11 months (he has just turned 6) - we were very surprised and pleased, especially as we hadn't asked - our main concerns tend to be social/behavioural aspects of school, where he's also doing very well.

dd will be 9 weeks tomorrow - had her weighed last week, and she was just about hitting 9lb, which from a 5lb 2oz birthweight is quite good going!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

Snowboo · 19/10/2006 17:53

Thanks for that hoppy. Will march poor ds1 and baby off 1st thing then!! Austin is now 11 weeks and just having his first set!!!!

sarahlou1uk · 19/10/2006 18:08

Afternoon everyone. Just had Molly weighed this morning and she is now 12lb 8oz - chubby girl! Has a red lump on her leg where the new vaccine went in yesterday but the other leg where she had the 5 in 1 is ok. Gave her Calpol last night as she was a bit grizzly after jabs and that seemed to send her to sleep. Hope everyone else ok.

dreamydowler · 19/10/2006 18:13

Hi everyone glad to hear you are all ok Im dreading having to take Sophie-Jane for her first injections. My mum is in hospital undergoing more tests as we speak Im trying not to let it get me down but am obviously very worried. my brotherinlaw seems ok now thankfuly. Sophie-Jane has a really awful rash on her face and body it is very red and nasty looking but doctor didnt seem concerned going to give it a few days to clear and then take her back. Her feeding and sleeping seems to have really good days and nights which are three or fourly feeds and bad days and nights which seem to be every hour feeds she is gooing and smiling loads now though. Im wondering if her cot sheets are irritating her skin so have been using cotton single bed sheets as all hers are brushed cotton. Got her christening booked for 10th december Im having a joint ceremony with my sister. Got my 40th planned for first weekend in december too Im sorry I havent been online as much as usual but will try to sort our get together out when Im over in birmingham in 2 weekends time

eenybeeny · 19/10/2006 21:54

hi everyone! sorry dont have time to read the hwole thread but wanted to say hi to you all!

Snow I am glad your DS can hear properly, he'll grow out of the ignoring thing! maybe!

Alex is doing really well, he is starting to cry less and interact a little more so we are very slowly going in the right direction!

Hope you and your babies are all doing well!

MrsRecycle · 20/10/2006 09:20

SnowBoo - will see you around 1pm today. Might not have the pram as it's raining and don't want to walk. I would bring my massive 3 wheeler but we'd be banned from Costas . So look out for someone in a red coat with a baby in a sling. Will try and sit towards the back corner (away from the window). See you later.

Snowboo · 20/10/2006 11:41

MrsRecycle!!!!!!! Just got back from Austins jabs and he really not happy. i've got a thumping headache from him crying, dont remember ds1 being this bad!!!!
Will have to put off today as i dont think you or the other customers would appreciate a screaming baby!!
Am about nx week as its half term and am stuck in without my car. So if you fancy a coffee with kids in tow let me know.

Am really really really sorry, looked forward to meeting another adult! Hey ho, cbeebies here we come......

Snowboo · 20/10/2006 14:30
