CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Glad you had a good night out Phoenix! sweet dreams, I really must try and go back to bed soon.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/09/2006 08:07

Ooh ooh Amiable - come to Stevenage Primark and we can meet up - I'm only 15 mins away.

Noel Edmonds really is quite good on dond Jas. Go on and try it - you might like it .

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 08:36

Agree with you there CSWS

Glad someone else has posted, I've been lurking for half hour ss and dd1 are currently bickering away upstairs, whilst dd2 does raspberries on her play mat/tries to eat it, in fact she currently has it over her head.....oh I've been informed I need to go and do breakfast, back soon!

Jasnem · 02/09/2006 08:46

I just had to scroll right down to find out what dond meant!
I watch so much rubbish already, I can't start more (plus I really can't be bothered with quiz show things.

Porridge is in the microwave, and dds are requesting I get it out to eat, so better go too.

I've just hung out all my washing, and now its raining

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 09:10

Just started raining here too Jas...
Still no news of various family members here, Ansa tel on at hosp on both wards......my poor old mum is going slowly nuts......I've asked her if she wants to come over here, as we're nearer the hospital, just in case she needs to make a mad dash......(which they all did yesterday, thankfully false alarm)

Well I think you'll be glad I'm not doing the flylady thing here, you should see the state of my kitchen I'm having can't be arsed half hour, and twittering on here, whilst the kids are entertaining each other!

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 09:25

Hey good news my cousin has had a little boy 7lbs, although they're keeping her in as the poor lass has been ripped apart
Uncle is not so good this am again tho..... will have to wait and see on that one.

Jasnem · 02/09/2006 09:52

Congrats for your cousin...I hope the hospital relents and lets your uncle see the baby today.

dewmeadow · 02/09/2006 10:48

mrm - you're a star. That buggy looks a complete bargain. Thanks so much.

Isnt Mn amazing? Im not likely to ever see any of you ever (if you're ever in the vicinity, you're very welcome) and yet people do lovely things for people they've never met. There is so much good in humankind, despite all the bad news in the world

ta again mrm

O yes, its peeing down here and my previously completely dry washing is soaked!!

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 11:27

Dew shame about the washing oopse!
Hurrah dh has been rained off the work he was doing, hurrah, hurrah, hurrah! (he can have the kids whilst I leg it to shops now )

ellenrose · 02/09/2006 12:46

Frizbe - congrats for your cousins baby boy hope she and her dad get a chance to see on another with baby too.

Wet washing here too - will be very pleased when tumble drier arrives next week. Hate not being to get my nappies dry outside though.

mustrunmore · 02/09/2006 13:31

Well, if you're all going to Stevenage, pop in to Bakers Oven and see my friend Mel. She's the manager. Usedto work with her pre-kids.

Dewmeadow; you're welcome.

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 17:05

Thanks for the congrats for my cousin, however it never rains but it pours here.....
Baby has water on the brain....is in SCBU.....may be transfered to another hospital to my cousin tomorrow, poor mite is in pieces, as indeed I would be too.....her dad is stable at present tho, which is one better thing.....off to do a bit of research on it all now.

Jasnem · 02/09/2006 17:05

Frizbe

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 17:08

thanks Jaz...

3k · 02/09/2006 17:39

DS has sprouted tooth number 3!!! It is at the top middle right. Glad it is through although he still has diarroah a bit poor thing.

Went shopping at Next yesterday and picked up some size 12 jogging bottoms, size 12 trousers and a long white flowery top for a party next weekend. I was so happy to get back in the size 12s although they are slightly fitted across my belly but size 14's would swamp me.

Also popped to Early Learning Centre and picked up a catelogue and have picked out £77 of stuff for DS for Christmas Is that bad? It includes a v-tech walker, a few wooden puzzles, bath toys and a few other bits. I also have a Mamas and Papas Stanley Snail Rocker for him that I have already paid for as I save with Park Christmas Savings. They have some brilliant stuff in the book though honestly I could spend a lot more!!

Anyone going to The Baby Show this year?

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 18:36

No baby show here 3k, and at your size 12's (this from the woman whose put on 4lbs over the 6weeks summer hols as I've not been very able to exercise)

mustrunmore · 02/09/2006 18:44

Oh Frizbe, very sorry to hear that,

3k; pick what youlike from the catalogue, then buy it second hand ds2 is having the v tech walker; cost me £2.

Frizbe · 02/09/2006 20:26

3k, 3 teeth as well where did they all spring from!
We still have no teeth, but lots of chewing of fingers!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/09/2006 21:01

Oh Frizbe - what a horrible situation. Not something I know much about, but hope the baby gets better soon.

3k - when is the baby show - might be up for it but not sure yet? That snail is the one my parents bought for Pippa the other week -lovely isn't it!

Put DD to sleep in her travel cot tonight so that she has a chance to get used to it before we go away in a few days. She seems to have gone to sleep ok, so hopefully it won't bother her at all.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 02/09/2006 21:22

Whre you going? did I miss that?
I bought a new travel cot for ds2 (smaller, for storage purposes!), but when we went to Hastings, it didn't even come out of the bag as he slept in the 4 poster with me

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/09/2006 21:35

Nowhere very exciting! Just a couple of days in Grimsby (visiting a friend that I made through another baby forum) followed by a couple of days in Manchester (seeing some of DH's family, plus a trip to Selfridges of course ), then a quick visit to Birmingham and Worcester, although my parents are away so won't get to actually see them there.

Well she's woken once and I had to go back into her, but she's off again now, so fingers crossed for a good long stretch now.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 02/09/2006 21:48

Think of all the ebay purchases you could have collected for me with that itinery!!

Wasn't it Grimsby that was really cool and gothic in the 19th century, inspiring Mary shelley etc? Or am I thinking of somewhere totally different?

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/09/2006 08:14

Gosh - no night crew around last night then.

Well the travel cot didn't go down too well until midnight. Asleep at 8:20 within a few mins of bed, one quick cry at 8:30, awake for 5 mins at 9:10, then awake again at 9:45 for 2 hours, including several fits of absolute hysterics during the first hour, and then just very sleepy moany cries every few mins for the next hour. Then she slept til 2:30, had a feed, then slept til 6:10 - her usual getting up time. Really thought she would sleep later than that, esp as she only had 1hr 40 of naps yesterday. Ah well, guess she'll just try and catch up during the day today (though I won't let her!).

mrm - no idea about Grimsby.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 03/09/2006 08:44

sorry the travel cot didn't go down too well CSWS for your lack of sleep, lets hope it gets lots better tonight

I think it was Whitby girls? as that has the Dracula Abbey (I know Shelly did Frankenstein but...) Dh says Frankenstein would be tales of Fish if it'd been Grimsby

Isn't mumsnet fab, found loads of good info on Hydrocephalus yesteday, action sites etc, which I shall pass onto my cousins partner today, so they can read it at their leisure, fingers x'd the hospital have found whats causing it, then they can act (have horrible feeling he may need to be moved to better hospital for this to happen tho as she's only in a 'local' one)
