CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Those of you that are on no2 or 3 or more, are there anythings that you had forgotten about babies that you have suddenly found yourself thinking ah yes I remember that now!? Ds3 has just had his first weetabix for his first breakfast and I had forgotten weetabix sneezes I got covered in tiny spots of it, ds2 was amused

mustrunmore · 01/09/2006 09:07

Well, I dont remember ds1 ever blowing so many raspberries as ds2 does!

Had forgotten how sad it is when baby poo turns to real poo when you start weaning

damewashalot · 01/09/2006 09:11

Hmmm, yes good point, I'm going to get a weetabix one tomorrow aren't I?

Jasnem · 01/09/2006 09:13

Got to go out, and do some FLYing before I go
Flame - just let her wear sandals or wellies for a couple of weeks!
Yes, I feel like it's all new this time round (and the pooh changing was the worst thing about weaning him)

Jasnem · 01/09/2006 09:15

Oh and I tried to post last night but comp[uter froze...back to purple people. My friend registered here a few weeks ago....as PurplePerson.

Chloe55 · 01/09/2006 09:19

What's all thia FLYing about?

dewmeadow · 01/09/2006 09:19

yes, DS always tends to sneeze just as the weetabix has gone into his mouth!! his timing is impeccable! Poor wee man - his cold has turned quite nasty - feels quite hot, bad cough, runny nose, I think sore throat, and off his food (I hate that). It makes me quite tearful to see him off form, although that might be the lack of sleep from his bad night!

dewmeadow · 01/09/2006 09:20

saw a purple bug yesterday

dewmeadow · 01/09/2006 09:21

on mn, not rl

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 09:29

Have you remembered the joys of weetabix nappies? Little bits of weetabix stuck on like cement?

FLYing is a way to declutter, get a routine, and get your house straight

mustrunmore · 01/09/2006 09:34

Im feeling very left out here. ds1 never had weetabix because of the sugar, until he was about 22 months. And by then he was eating far more disgusting poo-making things

Frizbe · 01/09/2006 10:20

lol at weetabix sneezes,

Flame I'm with Dew, I'd hug anyone who asked for my id these days

Jas and Soupey, ouch at the shoes, I'm going to be in that boat in a few years time at the cost.....

there's been that much written since last time I can't remember it all, erm, someones ds got hit by accident, oopse but these things happen right!

Went to a localish thing at a Yoga Studio last night and found out they do classes with a free creche! hurrah, so I'm starting Yoga in a weeks time, as ss back at school, dd1 in nursery, dd2 into the creche, hurrah They also do the Yoga bugs thing that was on Dragons Den, so debating taking dd1 to that at some point when they have room. Hopefully the Yoga will help with the pelvic floors?

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 10:36

Today I would hug... then less so

Whats Yoga bug?

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 10:40

Gave up on weetabix - got stroppy... little man just has toast now

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2006 11:20

Just a quick hello from me - off to a little MN meet up for lunch.

Amiable - shoes are from startrite - their website shows stockists.

Oh, I know what I keep meaning to ask. You know when they are first born you're told to wash their eyes daily with cooled boiled water. When can you stop doing that?

OP posts:
damewashalot · 01/09/2006 11:50

Erm terrible 3rd time mother here wouldn't ask me (scuttles off wondering if she did it ever to this one past the first week)

mustrunmore · 01/09/2006 12:20

Jesus; we've never done that!

damewashalot · 01/09/2006 12:32

MRM only did it a couple of times in first week cos of sticky eyes

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 12:56

I'm sooo pleased you said that MRM - I thought I must be pure evil!!!!

Yup, you can stop with the eye washing now

ellenrose · 01/09/2006 13:04

No eye wiping here either I'm afraid CSWS.

mustrunmore · 01/09/2006 13:07

What a relief! In fact, I can probably count on one hand the number of baths ds2 has had!!

damewashalot · 01/09/2006 13:38

Used to bath ds1 all the time, been rubbish with baths this time

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 13:40

DS has quite a few, but mainly cos it amuses DD

I need to have words with DH though... just given DD a cleaning bath rather than a playing one (normally his territory), and the poor kid has all dead skin and urgh behind her ears - made her sore getting it off Methinks Daddy doesn't wash behind her ears!!!! His are always clean though.... odd.

mustrunmore · 01/09/2006 13:42

ds2 has horrible ears too. i used to get it all the time as a child, and still do time to time, so he must get it from me. All crusty and sore.

PhoenixGirl · 01/09/2006 14:44

Glad u all said that about eye cleaning, i don't do it either
