Ummm... probably the best night for a while. He went into his cot so I could eat my dinner, and only woke up the second I set foot in the bedroom. Then every coupleof hhours. Tge only bad thing was that he woke when I put him in his cot at 5am, when I got up, and he woke up. I could hear his crying while I got up, but couldn't do anything about it.

DD has told DH what she wants to get me for Christmas. A ladybird costume that is too small. Then she can wear it. She told me this too, and found it really funny. When DH said she couldn't, she decided that I should have a cinderella costume so we could both wear them (she already has one). I've told him to work on her a bit harder!

utopian99 · 03/12/2013 09:58

Useful day yesterday and glad to be back home now. Dh was awesome and greated me with tidy house, laundry done and supper cooking but I was feeling too sick to eat. Feel really bad after he planned it all, and can't even blame pregnancy. Feeling a bit miserable about still not managing it when so many of you are well along!

Huge congratulations though Nutella and also think I'll be joining you in the mum of the year queue - yesterday I caught O scooting around the kitchen on site licking a radiator valve like a lolly. Hmm Blush

MrsNutella · 03/12/2013 10:13

Utopian it's amazing what tastes good to babies isn't it?

Beasty I can't wait to see Christmas pictures of you and dd in your princess costumes. Grin

DS seems to be settling into more of a proper routine. Morning nap about 2.5 hours after we get up. Milk, lunch, afternoon nap. Two nighttime wakings are acceptable at the moment but I might start watering down his nighttime milk to discourage him from waking...

Equimum · 03/12/2013 10:42

Congratulations Nutella, that's fantastic news!

Utopian, I know it's difficult now, but it'll be all the sweeter for taking a little longer when it does happen. I hope you feel better soon.

Beasty, I'll also be eagerly awaiting those piccies Grin.

DS decided that I needed hourly wakings from 11.30 until 5.30 this morning, then decided to settled down at 7.30, just a I needed to get him ready for nursery. He howled when I left him, poor thing, and I wonder if I should have kept him home, but he was generally trying to play when he was awake, so I don't think he actually ill.

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 03/12/2013 15:45

Big hugs Utopian, I hope it happens for you soon.

J slept 8-12 (with a wake up on transfer so I put him on our bed) then 12:30-6:30, then we went back to bed 9:15-11:15. He's still really poorly as his temp keeps shooting up aNd he's pooed through 4 sleep suit/vest combos today. He keeps spitting out his medicine .

MiL is here so I've cleaned up upstairs. Im now hiding in spare room pretending I'm still cleaning so I get a rest! I can hear j getting whingy though so it may be milk and nap time for us both.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 03/12/2013 16:35

Hope you feel better soon utopian.

I had to wake ds at six to go to work. I worked straight through 6:40-3:30 luckily I have tomorrow off Smile

SpottyChristmasCakes · 03/12/2013 17:06

Argh now ds has broken through a top tooth he's grinding it all the time it makes me want to be sick I hate it!

WLmum · 03/12/2013 19:57

utopian I totally sympathise - I found it so hard when trying for dd1 when everyone but me seemed to be pg. fx it happens soon for you.
I'm pretty sure that dd2 and T have had/got whooping cough. Poor little mites. Fx they were both brighter in themselves today but T is still not eating. It's been about a month that's she's barely eaten a few mouthfuls a day. Thank god for boobs!

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 04/12/2013 01:47

I hope not WL, how long does whooping cough linger for? Do they treat it?

DS does the manky teeth grinding too Spotty, it goes through me. Glad his tooth has cut though.

DS has just tried to make up for missing all daytime meals and feeds by drinking a 7oz bottle of milk. He then spewed it back covering us both head to toe in real sick, no nice milky posset here anymore. I had to wake DP as there was sick running down my hair/chest/legs and DS was soaking. DS has had a full clothes change and a flannel down and I've done the quickest hair wash and dry on record! Back to bed now. Wish me luck!

halestone · 04/12/2013 04:01

I hope the sick was a one off Willyou.

WL i hope DD2 and T are feeling ok and that the whooping cough goes soon.

Spotty i also hate the tooth grinding sound, its horrible.

Bad night here, loads of crying from H. I knew 1 nap would lead to troubleHmm

SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 08:12

Ds is back in bed and dd and I are sitting watching tv in our pyjamas. Need to leave for nursery in twenty minutes Grin

WLmum · 04/12/2013 09:41

Yuk willyou! Is it his temp making him sick or the abs? Hope he feels better this morning.
There's a sign up at dd2s pre-school saying that a child has had whooping cough and reading up on it it def sounds like my 2. They only treat it if its diagnosed early which is tricky as early symptoms are just like a mild cold. After 2 weeks the bacteria has done its thing and youre no longer infectious. The awful cough can last for months but theirs is much better than it was last week. T only had about 3 coughing/retching bouts last night and dd2 made it til 5 before starting up. Poor things, everyone is exhausted - had major tears from dd1 this morning about my imaginary sky horse (just in case you thought he was real!) not going to school with her!

SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 11:42

WL that sounds nasty. I though t would be covered through you still feeding her and dd2 vaccinated? I get so confused with which vaccinations they've had Confused I know I didn't have whopping cough vac when I was little.

WillYou I hope j is feeling better today

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 04/12/2013 12:33

"Hope the DDs feel better soon WL.

I'm pretty sure it was just greed that made him sick. He didn't eat all day then tried to neck a full bottle. He's done it before and DP does it too. It's as if their hunger overrides their off switch! Confused

Equimum · 04/12/2013 12:54

I hope your DDs feel better soon WL

Without meaning to be boastful, we had our first 11 hour night sleep last night Grin. Mind you, it did follow a night of being up every hour or so so maybe he was exhausted. And while I'm unashamedly boasting, DS has been asked to take part in the fashion shoot which he went to the caring for a couple I weeks ago Grin. It'll be next winter's catalogue/ website, so keeping everything crossed that he's well a s smiley at the time.

We're hosting lunch for the people we did a group with when the babies were tiny today, so I got up early, have been cleaning like crazy and now all but two have cancelled Sad. Still, at least the house will stay tidier for longer.

halestone · 04/12/2013 13:02

Yay for the photoshoot Equi, but an even bigger yay for the good sleep.Grin

OMG i have already forgot what i have read and was going to write i'll be back in a minute haha.

Spotty when is the next immunisation?

WL i really hope they get over it soon, it does not sound very nice for them or you.

Willyou since having H i also have no off switch where food is concerned especially Junk food.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 13:24

Next ones once they've turned one. Ds' is meant to be Monday but I'm working. It's the mmr it's a live vaccine so can have a reaction.

Wow equimum how exciting! I hate it when people cancel Angry it'll be nice as a smaller group thoughSmile

halestone · 04/12/2013 13:31

Oh i hate taking her for her injections it makes me cry seeing her upset. DP is holding her he just doesn't know it yetWink

OP posts:
SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 13:35

Dp's never been for jabs as he's always working. He was there though in SCBU with all the needles etc so does know what it's like. It makes me really sad!

MrsNutella · 04/12/2013 13:57

Equi congrats on the sleep! And the photoshoot. I hope DS enjoys it and doesn't find it stressful. Sorry for the cancellations but like you say, it might stay tidier longer Smile

Hales we have postponed the next jabs for when we get back from holiday, we were told they often suffer symptoms and that it can take up to three weeks for that to happen... I was reading his book (it's yellow here) the other day and realised he is also vaccinated against chicken pox. I should know what jabs he has and hasn't had really... Blush

I think DS would have had a great sleep last night if I hadn't woken him just after 3am when I went to the toilet... An hour and something later I gave up and took him to bed with me for cuddles. It was nice but not a great sleep Hmm.
But he has been asleep now for 1.5 hours in his buggy and I have just finished a massive delicious lunch. Can't remember the last time I are quietly in a restaurant. Just a pity I'm on my own.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 15:43

Someone just smashed my wing mirror off I can't believe it Sad she didn't stop either despite me beeping my horn repeatedly so I turned around and chased her Blush then pulled in front of her at the junction and she still tried to drive off!! I got her to open her window and I said 'you just smashed my wing mirror!' She said that I didn't get over enough but she was the one in the middle of the road. Anyway I managed to get her name and number not sure what good it'll do though.

BarHumbugBeasty · 04/12/2013 16:25

Oh no spotty but well done for catching her! Wing mirrors are far more expensive than they should be.

Boo for all the ill DC.

We've got DH's work Christmas meal tonight, which is an hour away in Bath. It should be good and is free but we have to collect DC from nursery, feed A and get ready so we can leave by 6.15. Madness.

But I've got a site visit booked in our nearest town (5 miles away) for 10am tomorrow and I didn't even plan it this way so I plan to get up just in time to get A up and ready for nursery tomorrow morning.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 04/12/2013 16:42

Have a lovely time beasty good work on the lie in tomorrow Wink

Well I spoke to her she was quite adamant it was 50/50 but I think I persuaded her otherwise as we finished by saying I would send her a written quote. She mentioned not wanting to go through insurance as 'we don't want to lose our no claims' but mine are protected so I can threaten her with that and if all else fails it goes 50/50 and I pay a max of £125. If she was nice about it I might feel bad as she is quite elderly but she is one of those really mean old ladies Angry

halestone · 04/12/2013 17:00

Oh spotty i hope you don't end up having to go 50/50. The fact she tried to drive away shows guilt to me. You could also threaten that you will be informing the police as she left the scene of an accident.

Beasty have a lovely night.

Nutella to be completely honest i'm not sure what vaccinations H has had either. Think i'm so nervous i just forget to ask.
