R slept 6:30-1:30 then had cuddles with grandma on the sofa watching intg then back to his cot til 7:30 :o I'm picking him up after lunch :o

I slept 10:30-9 Hmm

WillYou nothing pfb about checking out a high temperature. Iirc 38 is a fever (like for teething) anything above needs watching. 40+ is scary.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 02/12/2013 09:53

Over 37.5 is a temp and 38.5 a fever according to the nhs website.

Dd has the maxi cosi tobi but I'm going to get the joie stages for ds as it's rear facing for ages then lasts up to age seven. I haven't had ds weighed for ages or heard anything about a twelve month check Hmm

ISpyNotAnotherMincePie · 02/12/2013 10:00

Hope J is ok Willyou and that Dr's appt goes well.

Glad your appointment went well Hales.

N is still just in the infant carrier but although he's within the weight limit he is starting to seem a bit cramped up so now he's 12 months think I'll move him over yo the priori fix we had for DS1.

Sat waiting in the hospital atm for haematology appointment to check there's nothing dodgy going on following the whole itching/bruising/fainting business of a couple of months ago.

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 10:05

Nice sleep Pidj, your mum and I are kindred spirits! We were watching ITNG then too.

Good luck ispy.

Well j is hysterical again, he's crying his eyes out and burning up again. Unless something changes massively in the next half hour I'll be going to the doctors in my jamas as I can't put him down!

SpottyChristmasCakes · 02/12/2013 10:08

Good luck ispy!

Oh no WillYou he sounds just like ds on Saturday before the antibiotics kicked in. It's so hard when they can't tell you what's wrong.

I have given up trying to tidy as ds just follows me round removing everything as soon as I put it away Hmm

MrsNutella · 02/12/2013 11:19

Happy belated birthday baby ispy! I feel a bit mean because we are flying on DS's birthday... But we might have a party before we go. One of DS's girlfriends is 1 on the 28th so we might have a joint party. It's very cute. They see each other at least once a week on Friday at playgroup and she often wanders over to DS when we arrive as if to say hello and DS usually greets her with a smack or a car in the face, he is such a gent Hmm

willyou sorry for poorly baby! Hope the dr finds out what's wrong and he is back to himself ASAP.

We were at the dr's this morning for a check up that is supposed to happen between 10-12 months old. DS was as always, very nice and entertaining. I think the dr quite likes to see him Smile. He did plenty of shouting and and giggling to himself while crawling around bashing stuff with a brick he found.
The measurements show he is a bit of a shorty, a decent weight and he has a big head... Hmm that'll be why he needs to move up a size in jumpers then.
I've also ordered some sing along signing books for DS since he has started signing "water" at the dinner table - proud mummy! Also, bilingual kids apparently speak later so we might need some other ways to communicate in the meantime.

Also, and this is secret news... I'm pregnant. It wasn't planned but we weren't being careful but we were more successful than we anticipated... I'm only about 6 weeks though so it is still very early days.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 02/12/2013 11:25

Wow congratulations Nutella Thanks

BarHumbugBeasty · 02/12/2013 11:30

Congratulations Nutella

I tidied the hall this morning and 10 minutes later DD had it looking messier than before.

I'm hoping to keep A in the baby seat until June, when DD turns 4 and should be big enough to go into a high backed booster, and A can go into the BeSafe.

He's got plenty of room, and if he follows his line for weight, he has a good year left in the baby seat!

We've got his 12 month check on the 20th. It might be worth checking with your HV Spotty

halestone · 02/12/2013 11:31

Congratulations NutellaThanksGrin

Willyou i hope the Dr's Appointment goes smoothly and he can help DS.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 02/12/2013 11:34

Hmm might phone them when I get a sec.

I was hoping to do the same with seats but dd is so tiny (2st one still in 18-24 clothes!) that I don't think I will be able to Confused

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 12:35

Congratulations Nutella! That's lovely news. No Christmas booze for you then Grin

J has tonsillitis and is head to toe in a rash. He's got a weeks worth if penicillin. He pulled the cutest yucky face when he tasted the first dose!

MrsNutella · 02/12/2013 13:46

Argh! Waiting at the dr to see if DS is alright after eating toilet gel stuff. You know the thick gel that looks just like gummy bears stuck to the side of your toilet Shock
When we're done here I'll be off to queue for my "top mum" award Confused

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 14:00

Hahaha I'm sure he'll be fine Nutella. You can't anticipate everything.

DS just pooed out the sudacrem. That was... Erm... Oily Hmm

MrsNutella · 02/12/2013 14:21

willyou at least a sudocream poo is oily... I'm wondering what poo full of sand is like, because I'm sure DS will treat me to that next summer, if not earlier.

DS is fine. His breath smells interesting. The dr prescribed something that helps to break up bubbles - I guess a tummy full of soap can be pretty frothy. And he has finally gone down for a very late afternoon nap.

I'm sitting down for ten minutes before I pick up where I left off which was wiping lunch up off the floor.

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 14:41

It positively shot out of his bottom Nutella. We've had sand Blush it's like weetabix but a bit grainier! It's quite hard to get off with a baby wipe, it's a flannel job.

BarHumbugBeasty · 02/12/2013 16:15

Glitter poo is fun. And I think we'll have some on the way after today's playgroup.

I've got two grumpy, sleepy DC here. Roll on bed time!

SpottyChristmasCakes · 02/12/2013 19:35

Poor j. Ds loves his medicine Confused

Don't worry Nutella I spoke to someone on the phone whose baby had done the same thing just the other day Smile

WLmum · 02/12/2013 19:57

Wow I've missed a lot today!
First off, congrats nutella, super exciting news. Hope you're feeling well.
hales I'm glad your dr was good and dp continues to be supportive.
willyou poor baby j, he must have been feeling really crap. Hope those abs get right on it.

We had another terrible night last night with T and dd2 waking themselves up coughing and coughing themselves sick. Dd2 was sick on dhs pillow! Poor little things but I'm so tired. Bed by 9 is a must tonight.

lazzaroo · 02/12/2013 21:17

Congratulations nutella

I've missed a lot! Sorry there are still so many poorly little ones around. We've got plenty of germs in this house too but nothing too bad.

Baby lazza went into her forward facing seat yesterday. She likes it!

It's dd1 bday party at the weekend & we potentially ave a lt coming. It's a joint party but the other mum might not be able to come now & can't do as much prep as her baby has been really poorly. I'm just working on the theory that if you give a load of 4 year olds some space to run around in & a bit of cake, they'll be happy!!

Was hoping to do some online shopping tonight but Natwest have put an abrupt end to that idea Angry

WLmum · 02/12/2013 21:38

Oh and T has been in her forward facing car seat for months - great big ball of gorg that she is. She likes it a lot better than the rear facing that used to make her hysterical!

Perfectly good theory lazza

ddas · 02/12/2013 21:43

Congrats nutella!! When are you due? Hope first trimester not going to bad. Whenever I see someone pregnant I get flash backs to just constant vomiting!!
Wish we could put dd in a front facing seat as think she'd be a lot happier as if she's not really tired so falls asleep just screams most if the journey but still under the min weight & think this will be the case for a while yet.

MrsNutella · 02/12/2013 21:47

I think I've read too much about car seats... I'm wondering if DS can travel rear facing until he can drive himself Grin

Thank you for all the congratulations;I am feeling fine, just knackered! And I think my legs are already starting to swell Confused but other than that a few times a day I think "oh yeah, I'm pregnant Shock"

I was going to reply to more but I've forgotten what to who Hmm

Hales I hope you're feeling well. I felt much better after just taking about how I was feeling. Therapy seems to be going well too, it's sort of an hour off from life IYSWIM.

Lazza cake, crisps and sandwiches are all I can remember from children's parties. Grin

Night night all.

ISpyNotAnotherMincePie · 02/12/2013 22:51

Congratulations Nutella Thanks

Lazza - based on DS1's 4th birthday party, I think you are spot on! Hope your DD has a great time.

Glad all Dr's appts for LOs went well.

My appointment was fine. Dr said based on my history (four teeth taken out for orthodontic reasons with absolutely no issues, two incident free births including a physiological third stage with N) it is incredibly unlikely that I have any sort of bleeding disorder. She still decided I should have a whole raft of blood tests though - the poor guy taking the samples ran out of vials and kept saying I needed to make sure I had a brew before leaving. Took that as an excuse to enjoy a nice interruption free coffee and muffin in Costa.

halestone · 02/12/2013 23:21

Willyou i hope DS's tonsillitis goes quickly and his medicines help himThanks

Nutella, don't beat yourself up its probably not going to be the worst thing he ever eats haha.

WL i hope your asleep now.

Lazza i think your spot on cake and space will be all a group of 4 year olds need.

Ispy i'm glad your hospital appointment went well, and i hope the blood tests results all come back in a way which leave you happy.

We've had H in a forward facing Carseat for a while as well, she absolutely loves it. And if i'm the passenger i love seeing her dance away to the music.

halestone · 03/12/2013 08:20

Wow a Quiet night last night on here i hope that means plenty of sleep all round. H slept from 11:30 till now Grin. However my niece who is staying here for 2 weeks was up alot screaming, it sounds to me like she was having night terrors, i'm not sure though i'm going to speak to my sister today.
