Oh no, sorry to hear of poorly babies. J has a cold and sick bug too. He puked in my freshly washed hair last nightConfused I'm off work with him today. Fx they all get better soon.

halestone · 12/11/2013 11:41

Wow theres alot of poorly babies at the moment i hope their all ok. And that all you mums are also ok.Thanks And Wine to you all.

Willyou everytime i get her sleep sorted a spanner is thrown into the works. Like at the moment she has been in our bed for about a month which means i go to bed when she does. Or if DP is hone its a very uncomfy night. I think i'm going to leave it for now as we go to Centre Parcs soon so i'll try and change it after that.

Happy Birthday to your oldest DS IspyGrinThanks. Hope the cake is lovely.

Arghhh today is very much a cake and chocolate day H won't stop crying or whining.

Also seeing the news about paying women to breastfeed has made me Angry

Nice Jack, DS did that to me last week. The glamourous life of a mother!

You know what mn says about Centre Parcs Hales Grin. Are you going for a Santa visit or will it not be on at the one you're going to?

I've also had to stop reading the AIBU thread about it Hales as it annoyed me too much.

Happy birthday to DS1 ISpy I am here for you if you need to dispose of some Cake!

My boobs have filled up, they were a little bit empty before but feel engorged (I havent bf for >9 months now). Tis very odd.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/11/2013 16:00

Ds hasn't been sick again but has had two bouts of diarrhoea. He's slept lots today and is still really tired but his happy self!

Sorry to hear of other poorly babies

PurplePidjin · 12/11/2013 17:06

Brew and Cake for mummies of poorly babies

R is cutting molars, his poos are vile and he's up at 4:45 in the morning but his naps are epic (for him)!

I bought bits for his birthday cake one of them today Hmm

ISpyPlumPie · 12/11/2013 18:27

Thanks for all the poorly babies. I took my poorly little chap to the doctors this morning as he was sounding wheezy and had a temp of 38.9 overnight. His chest and throat are clear so it's a virus combined with teething. We've just got to carry on calpoling. He's not too bad in himself in the daytime at least.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS1. He's had a brilliant day playing with all his new toys and we had family round for birthday tea (soft play party on Saturday - eek!). As requested I made a purple firebreathing dragon cake (don't ask) but I thought using a chef's blow torch for the flames mightvbe a bit high risk so we comprised with candles.

Maryland2013 · 12/11/2013 18:35

Wow everyone is poorly... Hope all babies get better soon.

Willyou we've been given an inhaler today for DSs cough.. He was definitely wheezing after his (2 hour) coughing fit last night. The coughing is horrific but viral apparently.

What's the debate is AIBU? Is it £200 they're paying people to breast feed? Obviously it's everyone's choice but bribery?! Is that the way to go? Hmmm..

I am dreading molars, people keep warning me about them :(

WLmum · 12/11/2013 21:02

So sorry for all the poorly babies and mummies.

I'm having a not enough hours in the day/week day. I've been feeling a bit stressed/frustrated but am now remembering the Philippines and actually my life is sweet. Read a story in the metro about a young woman who swum to a wrecked airport to give birth. Texting metro to 70000 donates £5.

BopsX3 · 12/11/2013 21:08

Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA for a while.

How's everyone doing? I've read there's a few poorly babies :( hope they all get better soon!

Everything still pretty much the same here. Oliver still isn't walking or crawling Confused he isn't even pulling himself up or going from lying to sitting and visa versa. He's extremely lazy!

Has anyone made birthday plans yet? I think ill just be going for a meal with my family, hopefully somewhere with a soft play area or such like for the DSs

halestone · 12/11/2013 22:07

Willyou i have just read what mn says about centre parcs haha that won't be happening. I have booked the sleigh ride and santa visit though, i can't wait.

Sorry i forgot what else i was going to typeBlush

Maryland basically a university are trialling giving mothers £200 in shopping vouchers if they continue to bf for 6 months. My personal view is that money could better be spent on education about bf in schools so that it becomes more acceptable to a new generation and also could be better spent supporting mothers who have a difficult time. The AIBU thread seems split about it though.

Hi BopGrin you just obviously have a very chilled laid back boy. For H's first birthday we're just seeing family really and i may make a cake. and hope no one gets food poisoning

PurplePidjin · 12/11/2013 22:23

R's birthday is next Tuesday

WLmum · 12/11/2013 22:33

We've just had to decline an invitation to Ts special birthday twin - next to each other in hospital, same bday, same name! As it clashes with dd1&2s swimming lessons and DH is working so I have to take them and be in the water with dd2. Such a shame.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/11/2013 00:51

I need to sleep but am seriously irritated by this Christmas party situation! I saw the woman and explained that my friend (who I go with) is working that week and can only do the original day. She told me oh don't worry I've saved her a ticket, I just love little XX and would hate for him to miss out.

So now I'm even more annoyed on J's behalf that she obviously doesn't give a fuck if we miss out.

I've sent her a cheeky message asking if she's also saved me one as I'll be paying for friend's little boy too. But no reply. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. I have a feeling there's going to be fireworks.

J and I are in the spare bed. He keeps coughing himself awake in his cot.

jackandjilly · 13/11/2013 08:50

Willyou I am enraged on your behalfAngry she sounds lovely!!!!

halestone · 13/11/2013 11:00

Willyou, thats disgusting, i hope you've managed to sort it out today.

Also i hope the poorly babies are better today.

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 13/11/2013 13:18

WillYou, that's outrageous Angry

The advantage to molars is the epic napping. Managed to get R off my back into the car seat, home then upstairs out of his coat and shoes for another half hour in his cot Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2013 13:23

Ds slept for 2.5 hours earlier and only woke up as I was checking on him (stupid noisy door!) he's currently having fun with an empty wrapping paper roll, he's so cuddly atm.

WillYou let us know what happens, I hate cliquey things like that Angry

halestone · 13/11/2013 13:47

Molars are not equalling epic napping here Pidj we had an awful time with them. Therefore i am very Envy of you, although her other teeth where easy and did equal epic napping its all swings and roundabouts i suppose.

Spotty yay to that napGrin

I have currently been trying to get H to have a nap for over an hour. I hate when they fight their sleep! She can barely keep her eyes open yet she can scream and also headbutt and pinch me grrr! Typical shes like this on one of the days my dad is actually well enough to be out of bed. I have made her some more herbal tea hopefully she'll fall asleep now!

OP posts:
BopsX3 · 13/11/2013 13:55

No sign of molars here yet, but I'm looking forward to the epic napping... Grin Oliver only has about 45 mins in the afternoon at the moment but he sleeps well at night so I can't complain really.

BopsX3 · 13/11/2013 13:57

Willyou I haven't caught up with the tread yet so don't know the full story, but it sounds as though that woman's a bitch!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2013 14:04

Ds only has two teeth! Still on two naps a day too...(sorry!)

Barbeasty · 13/11/2013 14:27

4 teeth, random naps!

Another late night last night, but he fell asleep just before dinner.

When I came out of the bathroom this morning DD was waiting by the door and said there was a strange noise in the lounge. She wouldn't let me go and check in case it was a monster. Bless.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2013 14:30

Oh yesterday dd said 'mummy, that frigging gate hurt my arm again' Blushdon't know where she gets it from Hmm
