We will have no problems getting dd into our catchment school. It's a community one (and a forest school). There's never a problem with schools round here though and there's only CofE or community. Dd wants to go now too I'm really worried about it, what if someone's mean to her?!

ISpyPlumPie · 11/11/2013 09:42

I can really empathise WL and I've only got two of them to deal with. DS1 is incapable of letting A Thing drop, and will keep making the same request in sn increasingly whiney voice at exactly the same time as N is screaming/heading towards something hazardous.

Have a teething boy who's also full of a cold Sad

Just about to mske Ds1's cake ready for his birthday tomorrow. Can't believe it's 4 years today since I was sat in the hospital deciding whether to agree to eviction proceedings!

FriendofDorothy · 11/11/2013 10:49

I am back at work today. It's going ok, so far.

Rather typically though I noticed that The Little Mister has spots all over his bum and on his hands. He has either got chicken pox, or hand, foot and mouth. Terrible timing. I have been off work for 6 weeks and he comes down with is now! Fortunately the childminder is happy to take him anyway.

halestone · 11/11/2013 10:51

Willyou, i hope you've sorted tickets to the christmas party now, but if you haven't i would be tempted to go with Beasty's idea of throwing a rival party.

Lazza, could you ask your IL's if they feel nervous about having DD. They maybe scared of doing something wrong.

Good luck everyone with the school applications.

Ispy i hope DS's cake turns out nice.

In other news H fell asleep at 10pm last night and only woke up at 9:25 this morning Grin. She did get fidgety about 5am so i changed her nappy while she was asleep, and the fidgeting stopped.

Fod chicken pox usually starts on the torso I think. Poor ds there's a lot of h,f & m round at the moment.

Hope works going ok Smile

Barbeasty · 11/11/2013 11:42

Oh FoD they know how to time it, don't they.

A has surpassed himself in the disgusting stakes today. I thought he was chewing on tumble dryer fluff or something. But no, it was a snail. Vile child!

And then he purposely tipped DD's glass of water onto the floor.

Ah well, he can always eat some playdoh at playgroup. ...

halestone · 11/11/2013 11:58

Hahaha Beasty that has made me giggleGrin

Scrambled egg with spinach on onion bagel is a healthy lunch right? The 12 month growth spurt is upon us with accompanying night wakings

MrsNutella · 11/11/2013 12:30

Fod poor little mister! Hope he's ok. And I hope that being back at work is going well.

beasty eeeeewwww gross! I have to ask; where did he get the snail?

School applications all sound very scary... And so far off. I'm sure it will all happen all too soon though.

I'm a bit worried about tiny man. He isn't eating terribly well, breakfast was mostly refused and linch has been four slices of bread and butter (baguette size slice), because he won't eat anything else. Also he has (sorry TMI) slightly white/pale poo... I'm debating taking him to the dr. Although they don't open again until 15:00 (12:00 -15:00 lunch break anyone?!)... He is usual cheeky self otherwise.

Barbeasty · 11/11/2013 12:56

He was fiddling with the cat flap between the kitchen and the conservatory, and it must have made it into the conservatory somehow (we don't have cats, but the previous owners did).

He just stole some chocolate that DD left lying around. Maybe that will teach her....

WLmum · 11/11/2013 13:15

I did apologise to them at bedtime and explained why I was cross.
spotty I really worried about dd1 as she always came off badly at toddler groups etc and she's so very sensitive ans i dont particularly like the school shes at but touch wood so far so good.

halestone · 11/11/2013 14:30

Nutella i would probably take him the drs about his poo and if you think his appetite is off.

WL my mum use to apologise to us of a night and explain why she got upset when we were younger. I think it always worked out well plus i have a great relationship with my mum now.

Bloody he'll, just lost massive post! Try again...

beasty that's gross & probably would have made me throw up!

fod how's your little one? And you nutella? did you go to doctors?

hales, I did suggest to dh that we(he!) talk to them about it but he says he doesn't want them to feel obligated. And if they really would just prefer to go to the quiz nigh & it's not just an excuse, it'd be pretty awkward. I'm just glad we asked before mentioning it to DD.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/11/2013 19:31

He's just punched me in the eye again! Never have I come so fucking close to losing it. I am calm now but I had a moment of scary pure rage at how hard he was fighting despite being utterly exhausted Sad

WLmum · 11/11/2013 21:24

Thanks hales that's great to know. I've still been feeling a bit guilty today though - dd2 is only 3 and I'm a grown up (supposedly).
beasty good to know T has a yuk rival. Just like A she likes to play with the toilet brush and nappy buckets, as well as slugs. Found her with the top of a tin can she'd lifted from the recycling bin yesterday.
fod hope work is ok and the lo is feeling ok. Dd2 had h,f&m last year and wasn't that poorly.
willyou you need to start establishing some fight club rules!

WLmum · 11/11/2013 22:34

Poor buba T is suffering with teeth. Have just administered nurofen and now boob.

halestone · 12/11/2013 00:05

H has finally just gone down, her sleep is so hit and miss and there is absolutely no routine to it.

Willyou i hope your eye is ok, could you invest in some goggles for protection haha.

WL i hope T isn't too troubled by her teeth.

Ds has a sick bug. Four times in 35 minutes Sad

halestone · 12/11/2013 00:35

Spotty i hope he's ok Thanks and that you are as well.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 12/11/2013 05:33

He's been up being sick all night. I've had a few hours sleep in dd's bed Blush he's happy in himself when he isn't being sick. I've got to go to work now Hmm

Barbeasty · 12/11/2013 08:05

Oh poor baby spotty.

A wouldn't go to sleep yesterday. I was breastfeeding him when DH brought my dinner in (bless him, he'd cut it up for me). A sat up and started trying to take my food. I had to keep giving him fork fulls of potato to keep him away from the rest!

He's got a really horrible cough and cold now though, so I'm just waiting to catch it and need more medication! So long as it's before my maternity exemption expires .....

FriendofDorothy · 12/11/2013 08:46

The Little Mister is ok, doesn't seem very poorly other than being a bit spotty. I am pretty sure he has H, F & M. The beneftis of him going to a childminder not a nursery are that she will still take him. Phew!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 12/11/2013 09:07

Oh sorry about the poor poorly babies FoD, spotty, Beasty and WL. I hope they feel better soon. I hope the work days aren't too hard for you either.

poor you Hales, I used to hate it when DS went down really late. I never got anything done.

J has still got his nasty cough. It's inly really bad at night but when it starts it makes him whoop. I shit myself at first thinking it was whooping cough but I think it's just a bad cough.

I have another scratch on my eyeball. Does anyone know of a boarding school that will take a 10 month old? Wink
