Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

Get him to the hospital SR - I think the symptoms sound serious enough and if you can't bring his temp down with calpol - you NEED to get him there just in case he spikes very high in the night... know how you're feeling... C was like this when he was admitted to hospital

mummyhill · 13/07/2006 08:21

SR - How is your little man? Did they call back or did you take him to hospital? Sounded as though he could do with a bit of medical attention to me hun. Loads of hugs.

D is being liberaly dosed with calpol and ibuprofen atm as his temp keeps spiking I am hoping that it is just his teeth.

SR - how is DS? Hope that he is feeling better and it was nothing more than a bug.
Sounds as though your friend was well liked and given a good send off. I'm sure people understood that you couldn't make the wake.
Mummyhill - hope D is ok now too.
Will definitely have to make a date for a meet up in Chester later in the summer. Pretty much any thurs/fri is good for me.
Have just got some photos back from nursery of both DDs and they are beautiful. A really natual pose of DD1 by herself just giggling away and one of both of them together. They are sooooo beautiful.
Love to all, esp the poorlies.

mummyhill · 13/07/2006 13:34

He is fine in himself appart from the high pitched screaming which signals pain. Loads of dribbling and one of the teeth has now broken the gum line but if he is anything like his big sister there are probably another three waiting to erupt over the next week. Most of my friends cut one or two at a time. DD always cut two to four at a time we shall wait and see.

Just popped in to see if there was any news on SR's DS. Hope all ok, SR x

wabbitt · 14/07/2006 12:54

No news yet? - Thinking of you SR, hope little man's recovering now xx

August in Windsor - Friday's best for SR and for PC I think it's Fridays and Tuesdays so... I'm going to suggest the 18th Aug, which is the first Friday after 12th which should mean Beatie can make it too.

Yes Jaamy - we'll have to set a new date for Chester... When suits you?

Hope everyone's well - Not seen milward here much lately (and where have our new girls got to?)

later xxx

Hello!

Thanks for all your wishes for ds - I took him into hospital soon after I posted and they admitted him as seriously dehydrated - we have just got back! He is on the mend now still runny bum - but no more blood, no more sick and his temperature is normal! I have it now - no where near as ill as ds was. Rachel has gone on a holiday to nanny and grandads and is being very happy and smilly and sleeping well - dh said I should have kept her here - but this bug is horrid and after watching ds suffer, it would break my heart to see dd do the same

Hope we are now on the mend - dh says his tummy hurts - oh no!

Simplyred · 14/07/2006 18:09

18th August good with me!!!

ych · 14/07/2006 19:18

Simplyred - glad your ds is better, what a wee shame, it must have given you a fright.

mummyhill · 15/07/2006 00:15

hugs to the simplyred/pimply household hope you all feel better soon.

DH is proper poorly - apparently 'I have no idea how ill he feels' ummmm! MEN! Been scrubbing the house in readyness to get dd home!! I really miss her xxx

wabbitt · 15/07/2006 21:14

SR - so glad you took him in... and that he's on the mend now. Urgh! your dh! OF COURSE though NO ONE will have been as poorly as him!!!

Hope you're feeling better and Rachel has escaped the terrible bug. It must have been hard enough to let her go let alone have dh suggest she should be in the poorly household. Anyway, Nanny and Grandad will be thinking it's a great privilege

Love to all xxx

Hi everyone,
SIMPLYRED, no there wasn't a close up of me, not too bothered though as i hate being filmed. will let you know the next time i am on, you will definetly see me on that one as we were sat on the front row. i always thought they only put the pretty ones at the front, but now i know different LOL
WABBIT, it was fantastic, i definetly reccomend anyone to go. He is sooooo dreamy!!!
Anyway, now for my news and i also need some advice please. My oldest sister, the one who is pregnant, found out on tuesday that she is carrying a girl, i'm going to have a brand new niece , but at her scan she was told that they think there's a problem with babys heart and she needs to go back in two weeks for a more detailed scan , has anyone ever heard any stories like this before that has turned out to be ok??? clutching at straws here i know but i am so worried.
On a brighter note, i move into my new house a week on friday, which if i'm correct, is now 12 sleeps.
Hope everyone is ok, love to babies and siblings xxx

mummyhill · 16/07/2006 19:57

Hugs bubbles hope your sister's little one will be ok. Have heard a lot of scare stories but even if there is an anomily (sp) it could all be ok. They can pick up murmurs with the scan which can heal themselves or may need meds ocassionally it ends in surgery. If there is a problem though it is better for them to pick it up now so that they can prepare themselves and something can be done asap. I was born with a hole in my heart and it pretty much on its own.

Love to everyone hope you have all been enjoying the hot weather. We have been doing the garden today. Adults are sunburnt kids are fine. Why is it you remember to top up their sun screen but not your own?

OP posts:
Simplyred · 16/07/2006 21:08

Hello bubbles - don't know much about hearts on scans - but as Mummyhill says if they know about it they can act upon it.

Yes very hot here - went 'out' for the first time in days - feel human again! and dd is back yehaaaaa!

wabbitt · 16/07/2006 22:56

Sorry to hear of your sisters worries Bubbles, I'm afraid i don't have any friends who've been through anything like this but will, like SR support what Mummyhill's said - the sooner they know of a problem, the less chance of an emergency arrising

I'm sure it's very, very worrying for you all xxx

SR - Yay that little R's back with her mummy! and great to hear you've been out today

Weather just amazing here - just a bit too hot to really get anything done though - N had the best idea to get out of the hottest of the sun and went Ice Skating this afternoon... Lots of events going on locally but it's just been too hot to get out there and join in with a little one in tow...

Love to all too xxx

wabbitt · 17/07/2006 15:53

been washing the car (like an idiot) in this heat - keeps getting streaks all over it!

mummyhill · 17/07/2006 17:53

Were having a heat wave a tropical heat wave.

Probably best to wash the car at about 9pm hun as it is cooler and it won't streak.

Changed clothes twice so far today will be doing another run through the shower and change before work I think.

D is not happy about all this heat. DD is being a pain as well.

OP posts:
Simplyred · 17/07/2006 19:38

Decided to keep ds from school today - and hes been horrid! He really resents any time I spend with dd - he really enjoyed his Mummy time whilst he was ill! He even invited me to watch a video whilst Rachel had her sleep - and proudly told me its a video of me before Rachel was here!
Have explained to him my love for them both - but fear hes not buying at the moment!

mummyhill · 18/07/2006 10:39

Morning all.

Windows and back door wide open fan going at top speed and it is now a lovely 30 degrees in the living room. D is sitting there in his nappy mumbling mummumumum DD is in and out of the garden.

Must start to think about lunch and getting DD to Nursery.

Have cleaned the bathroom and put 4 loads through the machine still have to do the nappies and strip the beds though.

Must tidy living room as In laws are comming round tommorrow night to bring us a card for our 5th anniversary.

Kids room is tidy yipee. Really must get round to tackling our room maybe tomorrow morning before it gets too hot.

Off to do the kitchen and think about lunch out on the patio.

Mummyhill, impressive! I've put a second load out. The first is aready dry! Very hot here as well. Until the weekend I think - hope for some rain xx

Think I have a blocked duct so am bf as much as possible.

jaamy · 18/07/2006 10:51

Very about lunch on the patio, Mummyhill. Stuck in box-like office with only a desk fan. Is it still sunny out there? Don't have a window so can't tell!!!
Bubbles - sorry to hear about your sister's peanut. Hopefully scan will show nothing to worry about or at least treatable. Is your sister a more mature mum-to-be?
SR - glad DS is better but sorry he's feeling a bit left out. Could you schedule a regular mummy and DS session so that he still gets some one on one time when he's not sick. I know it's difficult - I'm in the same position with my 2DDs. Oh, BTW, hope your very poorly DH has recovered too!
Wabbitt - I can see your car gleaming from here!
DD2 hardly slept a wink on sun night so we were all in a bad state for work/nursery yesterday. Of course DD1 caught up with a mammouth 4 hour sleep at nursery. Mummy, on the other hand, will have to catch up as and when. I've scheduled in 26th Feb 2007 to catch up on some sleep!!!!! Better make that 25th-28th Feb!!!!
Hope everyone else ok.
