Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

That's more like it D!!!

Think C's a bit constipated - he woke with tummy pain last night... just trying to get him to drink as much water to see if fluids sort him out - Never thought he'd ever be constipated as he was always a bit 'loose' iykwim

Hello to everyone

Thanks for the tesco tip Bubbles

IdrisTheDragon · 26/09/2006 12:39

Alice never sleeps through. Well maybe very very occasionally, but then DS always seems to wake up.

I am looking forward to sleep in about 2009 I think.

Simplyred · 26/09/2006 22:11

hello!

Been working today - very tired hope the little people sleep well tonight!

Ps My SW classes lost 18.5 stone in total today!!!!

Simplyred · 27/09/2006 15:30

Hello!

How is every one?

wabbitt · 27/09/2006 17:47

Hello SR - we're fine, I've been making the thank you cards for Conrad's presents
And we've been to Stay and Play for the first time - C really enjoyed it and it was nice for me as I went along with some of my bumps and babies friends.

Went to friends for lunch and conrad had his friend to play with there - so we've had a very sociable day

It's quiet here today isn't it?

Some of Mummyhill's tumbleweed will be heading this way on a desolate wind if we're not careful!

IdrisTheDragon · 27/09/2006 20:54

Still around and about. Been better but at least I am feeling better today than yesterday.

Wonder where beatie is. Was wondering how Alice's doppelganger is.

mummyhill · 28/09/2006 00:48

Tumbleweed whats that .

Hi all

Am up at the wrong time - too early for on etrain, too late for another.

It is very dark outside .

IdrisTheDragon · 28/09/2006 06:21

Just looked at my phone and my friend has had her first baby - A baby girl called Anna Charlotte, born on Sunday .

Simplyred · 28/09/2006 07:48

Ahh morning!

A little baby girl for your friend Idris - how lovely.

mummyhill · 28/09/2006 09:51

Morning all.

D slept through again last night. Wonder if the dose of medised had anything to do with it?

He has fallen asleep on the way home from dropping N at shcool so I am going to get myself something to eat and then do a bit of house work whilst he sleeps.

Why is it I can get everybody else sorted out and fed in the morning but get half way to school and realise that I haven't had breakfast?

Who ever gets here first at the weekend can we start a new thread? This one is getting a little long but would be nice to wait till the start of a new month.

This thread is getting a little long isn't it?

Funny to think it is nearly October.

jaamy · 28/09/2006 12:35

Hello!
Sorry been a bit absent of late - everything is a bit busy! Doing what, I really don't know, just seem to have less time on my hands.
Just back from play group where I had a distressing half hour trying to get DD1 out of the car, which I'd accidentally locked (with her and keys inside. Good job it was DD1, not DD2 as I eventually persuaded her that this was the one time she was allowed to take her arms out of the car seat straps to reach the keys. Clever girl managed to press the right button and get herself out. Off to have a valium sandwich for lunch!!!
Glad to hear D is sleeping better mummyhill - isn't medised great????
Idris - congrats to your friend and her new arrival. Have you tried vit B supplement? Sometimes lack of vitB can make you feel a bit down. Worth a go, eh?
Wabbitt - hope conrad's tum/bum functions are a bit better. We've got the opposite problem here - D&V bug is doing the rounds and we've all had it to one degree or another.
Take care

wabbitt · 28/09/2006 19:16

mamama · 29/09/2006 01:25

New to this, but my DS was 1 on Sept 22nd. So hard to watch him grow up but so great too!

mummyhill · 29/09/2006 09:29

Welcome mamama your little one shares their birthday with my DS.

Talking of whom I have been up since 1 this morning. I even ended up in the 24hr supermarket in my pj's getting hime some Ibuprofen and disposable nappies at 4 this morning. Teething with a vengance nappies so unpleasant that I am resorting to disposables rather than the usual cloth ones.

Wabbitt - Can't wait to catch up will be great to see you hun.

wabbitt · 29/09/2006 09:51

Hello Mamama - another newby!

Talking of which - where are they all???? Come on back, it's nice when the thread's all busy.

Has anyone heard of the research into the correlation of putting on weight post natally and it's adverse affects on subsequent pregnancies? It was on the news on Radio 4 this morning - I wondered what you all think?

The scientist (male of course) was suggesting that even putting on a small amount of weight (3kg) resulted in more complications, gestational diabetes and still birth amongst his 150,000 sample. He said that even if you'd previously been 'underweight' prior to the first pregnancy, then the second pregnacy would have a higher risk of complications if the mother weighed more when conceiving her second child...

Hmmmm ... More dictating to women by a malecentric Medical Profession if you ask me - I think there are far more likely to be stress/mental health and general wellbeing factors leading to the complications - not just weight.

Anyway rant over (I can hear the sigh of relief! Jaamy... Shhhh!!!)

I should be virtuouly ironing with a sactimonious expression on my face, so I'm going to b*gger off now

Byesie Bye

mamama · 29/09/2006 14:38

Hee hee, enjoy the ironing, Wabbitt!

So sorry to hear about supermarket trip in middle of night mummyhill. MY ds got 5 teeth by 8 months and no more since, so I guess we'll be in for a bit more teething trouble before long. And he's just settled back into a decent sleep routine at night (woke up only once last night, yay!). Nice to hear about other babies with same birthday.

I no longer iron but have a very sticky floor to hoover & mop. The food throwing business may be fun for ds but remarkably less enjoyable for his mamama!

mummyhill · 29/09/2006 18:31

Thanks for a lovely afternoon wabbitt. See you again soon.

Simplyred · 29/09/2006 18:48

Weight! my favouite wabbitt! I know weight reduces fertility. I'm not so sure that relatively small amounts of weight would trouble anyone in subsequent pregancy - but I'm sure a bmi over 31 would. Does it allow for 'normal' sized women that ballon durring pregnancy are they in more danger? - as they are relatively unconcerned about weight gain these days. My Mum always tells a story that you could not gain more than 2 stone without loads of Midwife stress when she was young......

Hello mamama.
