JJ that sucks Sad

I just had dinner and had some broccoli on my plate. Gave a bit to O to see what he would do -he took it straight out of my hand and into his mouth. He has been sucking on it for ages and it is now all over his face, his hair and in his mouth. He loved it Smile

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 18:23

Kyz I just kept adding milk/powder til I figured it looked right, and kept stirring it. Made it with cold formula out the fridge.

O is 5 months today. Time bloody flies even when you're not sleeping!.

I got dressed. And went to the shop. Yay! O finally chilled the fuck out after the baby rice! He's loving his toy bar on the car seat. Gutted I didn't get one ages ago now!

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 18:52

Am I playing words with friends with another quichette? Not Luis or Fruit!

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 18:56

Mummys sunglasses? Hilarious, apparently. First real unstoppable giggling fit today. Plus the rolling. Now we'rre done developing for the time being are we going to get some sleep??

Catbag · 23/04/2013 19:21

Clarella · 23/04/2013 20:15

going to try not mn ing to avoid stingy eyes. night all

PurplePidjin · 23/04/2013 20:34

Clarella you can either paypal through www.woollyhugs.com, or you can buy a ball of wool to send to Pistey for redistribution, or she can match you with a crafter and you send straight to them - just put a different address in the delivery box to the billing one.

Thought he'd gone down but no Sad and I'm trying to pump at this time of night to build up freezer stores. I have an interview next week for a promotion at work, two extra nights a week as leader in charge Shock

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/04/2013 20:47

J is in his cot asleep. This is a miracle!!!! He normally doesn't go down before 11pm!!! How many minutes do you think he will last???

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 21:02

Hopefully at least 720 Grin Izzy.

O had more mushy shit! He got a cob on and I knew what he was after. Food. Yes, he was. More baby rice. Nommed down. And do you know what? His wet burps have had no vomit! He made a spectacular one at bed time, and I was actually searching for the vomit. And there was none!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 21:04

Would it be okay to start with 2 meals a day? Seems a lot. But he definitely wants it, and is happier for it? Hasn't reduced his milk, and hasn't been sick.

Suppose I can offer it, and if he doesn't want it, the dog gets it she has realised the joy of having a baby around now.

For those using baby rice - the Heinz one has traces of milk, the C&G one doesn't and is suitable for the intolerant buggers among us!

ValiumQueen · 23/04/2013 21:26

detective be careful of constipation. Maybe two meals a day of baby rice would be a bit hard on his little tum. Baby rice C&G made Js reflux much worse I think. Sounds as if O is taking it in his stride though.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/04/2013 21:34

That was an epic fail! He lasted 7minutes!! I went up and hes fed again but a much better feed and is back down now. I want to stay up and watch tv but if tonight is anything like last night I would be better going to bed. So bed it is.

luis I am supremely crap at scrabble as you may have guessed!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 21:35

Have given him water too, and am ready with the prune juice if needed. He didn't poo today, but sometimes he has a day without one, I would usually expect one first thing tomorrow.

Will watch out :)

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 21:38

Only Rice will constipate. But maybe a meal of rice and another of pureed pear to balance it out would work?

LO is much more constipated since we started the weaning. And a little more uncomfortable for it.

Tough day here. Lots of thoughts about My Career (s) and a realisation that LO is going through a new phase - growth? Alertness? PITAness? DD1 had accidents this evening only when LO was being clingy. Coincidence? i think not.

And the fucking tick season has started and the bastards are all over all three pets. At least they are easy to pick off the dog, and the wooden floors, but the cats are harder work. The vet says this area of France is the worst for ticks (lucky us) and I am stuck between leave them On the animals til the anti tick stuff kills the bastards but will maybe jump onto the kids, or go for the fuckers but spend far too much time searching for them. Hate ticks. Twats.

Ooh sweary Wednesday starts in a few hours. My show me show me subject of choice for that will be Bastard Cunting Ticks.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 21:39

I keep forgetting to offer extra water.

Thechick · 23/04/2013 21:39

Ummmm, H's bedtime starts at 8. Dh does the bath and bedclothes and then I come up and feed him. H just wouldn't settle so I turned off the light and tried to feed him lying down, he started singing and smiling. This went on for about half an hour. Thought if I just continued to lay down he would get bored and go to sleep. He seemed to get more awake. I put him in his cot so I could brush my teeth and then try again. The boy has gone to sleep. Ummmm, I'm in shock.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 21:39

To the baby. Not the fucking ticks.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 21:40

I was just going to give rice for 3 days if he wants it, with the whole reflux thing?

Was going to add fruit or veg to it on Friday?

kirrinIsland · 23/04/2013 21:40

Jupiter that sucks :( What reasons did they give? Can you find solutions to them and appeal on those grounds? Do you have to go back full time then?

N is asleep in her pram again. I will see if I can get her into the habit of sleeping in the evening not on me and then work on getting her to do it in the cot. One step at a time......

StuntNun · 23/04/2013 21:43

Wow Word with Friends is addictive. I may abandon MN! My user name is predictably StuntNun if anyone wants to play with me. I can't promise to be very good though, lack of sleep don'cha know.

That sounds fine detective

Remember, as I am PR I have to advise glycerine suppositories for constipated babies :o
