I wish I could go to maths class

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 15:31

I also wish I could play scrabble with you lot, but no technology here Sad. Probably a good thing though.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 15:37

You nearly got clit. Til I realised I could get more points otherwise. Damn it!

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 15:38

Haha they don't let you do clit, or cunt, I've tried before haha

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 15:40

Fuckers!! But they let me have bitty Grin.

Am chilling in the garden with DD1 whilst E sleeps upstairs in her Moses basket (yes she still fits in it!). She has been asleep most of the day which I'm taking as a good sign in that she's sleeping off the pox. Is very hot out here. Is making me want to move house to my nice big garden even more. DD1 is entertaining herself with a snail and don't need a bigger garden for that!

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 15:59

I'd love to move to a bigger house, I love my house but it is just to small, I can't even play just dance on the kinnect because the living room is so small. The garden is nice though and it backs onto a park and is walking distance from most of my aunties and mums house.

Kyzordz · 23/04/2013 16:17

Sounds promising det! How old is o now? E hated baby rice when I tried that, but I couldn't get all the lumps out of it!! It reminded me of wallpaper paste when I gave it to him :/ I've tried it with veg mixed in too and nope. Never mind, when I start up again I am going to pretend I haven't given him anything and start again! Any tips on how to get baby rice to a nice consistency? yes, I am so useless I cannot mix it properly. I thought maybe if individual fruits/veggies went in that they wouldn't be so overpowering for him.

Still not decided how I'm going to approach it yet, but I will keep looking into the options :)

Flexible working request rejected. Completely gutted

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 16:20

That sucks jupiter

Angry on your behalf

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 16:23

That's shit jj I thought if you had a child under 5 they had to give you flexible working?

Brockle · 23/04/2013 16:35

so sorry jupiter I have been there and know how shit it feels. hugs xx

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/04/2013 16:36

That's rubbish jupiter. When I went back after DD mines was the last flexible working request accepts. All since have been refused. fruit they don't have to, they just have to consider it and give valid reasons for not accepting unfortunately

Kyzordz · 23/04/2013 16:36

Oh jj that sucks :( what will happen now? Do you have to go back full time?

Brockle · 23/04/2013 16:42

I think they have to give you the right to appeal. it may be worth a go.

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 16:49

Oh, I don't know why I thought they had to, oops!

MsJupiterJones · 23/04/2013 17:05

Yes I'm considering appealing. Their reasons are crap. But I can only appeal on the basis of new information or information they hadn't considered, I can't actually question their business decision.

Only a month till I'm due back and it's still up in the air. Not what I'd hoped for. And just general I-didn't-get-the-job feelings which are making me a bit tearful also non napping infant .

Thanks for the support lovely quiche. Thanks

MsJupiterJones · 23/04/2013 17:08

X-post with PP. I know life could be a lot worse.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 17:28

Oh that is sad :(

Clarella · 23/04/2013 17:45

oh that is so sad pp and such a touching idea. I wish I could contribute Sad

YellowWellies · 23/04/2013 18:05

we've had a busy day - just popping into say hi! Jonas' nap avoidance was solved by baby and toddler group - he fell asleep on my lap thanks to the excitement. Will def' be back next week Grin

PurplePidjin · 23/04/2013 18:08

Money or wool donations also appreciated if you can't/don't have time to craft. I was in at the very start of the woolly hugs 2 years ago so it's a cause very close to my heart.
