Now he's amused by sucking a baby wipe while mummy sings 'The man I'm feeling is 22' Taylor Swift altered lyrics VQ Grin

Oh, I've just been pissed on. Fuck.

ValiumQueen · 23/04/2013 12:20

Sucking a baby wipe? Is that wise?

I have just been puked on. Beware the smiling baby in the cot. I should know that a smile is followed by vomit. I know, I should be grateful he slept in his cot, but I had vomit in my cleavage. Gross.

Pr yes it is amazing how strong they can be at such a young age.

Songs are funny. I went to the Proms Hyde Park Concert last year and O went mad in my belly when Kylie came on. I don't even like Kylie. Anyway, when she hears it on the radio, she stops and stays still till the end of the song.

I need quiche advice. I am always out and about with O. Last week she started to scream in buggy so I took her out and carried her till she calmed down. She quite liked it. So much that ever since I go out with her she screams until she comes out and I carry her. Now my back is killing me so I really want her to stop and enjoy sitting in the buggy. I tried slings and she loves them. But I don't. How can I encourage her to stay in buggy??? She has toys, sun is not in her eyes, she is usually fed and changed and has gel on her gums. What can I do? She is ok on the bus cause she can flirt. With handsome men Grin.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 12:23

I remember once lifting DD1 out of the cot and singing Good Morning at her while holding her above me. Just as my mouth opened for the Moooorrrrn syllable she vommed right into it. I will be telling that story at her wedding.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 12:33

It's a washed out wipe! I figured he sucks the sodding flannel in the bath. Which is full of more!

DS1 did similar Lily but to Nysnc - one particular song, Pop. He just shut right up!

O does it but not to things I listened to when pregnant! He does it to Christina Perri - A Thousand Years. And Lion King - Just can't wait to be king. Hmm Confused

I don't know about the buggy thing. As O is an avid buggy hater really. He doesn't last long in it. Especially in shops. But I think he is hot then. He was happier facing the world. Much happier.

I got vommed on spectacular style a few weeks ago. It was in my fucking mouth and nostrils. And it was night feed - about 6 hours old. DP just rocked himself silly laughing while I couldn't fucking breath! It was in my eyes, hair, just fucking everywhere. URGHHHHH.

Kyzordz · 23/04/2013 12:34

Lol det I am pissed on frequently, I am never quick enough with the nappy! Sounds like o is having one of those days. E has them quite too often ATM, thunk it's to do with being under the weather. Today has been a sleepy one, he got fuck all sleep last night again sobs into pillow so today is also one of those grouchy days here. On a happy day it's like having a completely different baby, i love the happy days :)

Took him doctors yesterday and they prescribed dermol I think it's called that and then hydrocortisone. I didn't think it looked too bad but he has had the cream on twice and it looks heaps better. The dermy stuff goes in his bath as a wash and then all over in the morning.

Ooooh and I talked to my mum this morning about e and weaning. I explained it won't be the same with him as he has reflux and so can't be compared to me and my siblings. She agreed really easily actually that he needs to go at his own pace and she said she would back off a bit. I basically said that if I keep finding being a mum so stressful there's no way I'd opt for more, and she thinks being a mum should be something I enjoy and she didn't realise she came across so strongly sometimes with the weaning thing. She apologised and said she wants us to enjoy weaning. Am feeling much better :)

Kyzordz · 23/04/2013 12:37

Cross posted! Never been vommed on in the mouth yet!

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 12:43

Of course the whinging could be because he did a poo a while ago and I didn't notice Blush

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 12:49

kyz well done for speaking to your mum. I bet you will start to enjoy E so much more now without added pressures.

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 12:53

kyz that's good Smile. It sounds like you and your mum have a lovely relationship and she just wants to support you.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 12:55

kyz that's great news. Well done you!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 13:01

Good stuff kyz! I bet she thought she was just helping. Good to know she is letting you get on with parenting your own child! Parents huh! Hope I remember all this when it's my turn!!

O is down for a nap. Struggled with both naps today. I've put my lunch on. It takes 30 minutes. Which will be precisely when O will wake I assume. Hmm

Yes Kyz it is one of those fucking days today! I feel so tired, which doesn't really help. He just doesn't know what he wants. He doesn't like want his play gym. The swing lasted about 15 minutes. I've done playing and singing, which helped for a little while, but he got bored. Nothing is keeping him amused for long. I've got to get dressed at some point, but I just can't be arsed.

Might try the jumperoo when he wakes. He might do 10 minutes in there. I'm trying to make sure he feeds and naps on time today, to make sure the nights are as easy as possible!

MaMaPo · 23/04/2013 13:14

1h15 later. Still pinned. Utter boredom has set in, followed closely by hunger.

Good news Kyz!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 13:17

Games on the phone are good for sofa pinning.

Am addicted to Candy Crush now. And gin rummy. D'oh!

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 13:23

I downloaded candy crush yesterday det regret it now

MaMaPo · 23/04/2013 13:28

Not into games, sadly! Wish I were. Would help. Stupidly left my kindle in other room.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 13:30

I downloaded it too but haven't tried playing it yet. Farmvile sent me into a manic game player to a point that I harvested my crops on Christmas day, and when I was in hospital for a d&c texted my DH the minute I got back to my room to get him to harvest and plant before coming to get me. Am very wary of it all now I know how I get sucked in. Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 13:31

MaMa you can install the kindle app on your phone/tablet and read that?

MaMaPo · 23/04/2013 13:40

I do have it pr - haven't transferred the book though. To be honest I just want to be not pinned. Am inpatient at best of times - am worse when sleep deprived and can see solution in front of me. Baby + crib = happy me. It is not to be.

MaMaPo · 23/04/2013 13:40

It is obviously whinging Tuesday.

PurplePidjin · 23/04/2013 13:45

I've found fruit but can't find Luis Sad

Brockle · 23/04/2013 13:49

I have superficially blitzed the place as a friend is coming over. Y usefully zonked in. his pram outside for two hours.

ds1 would Immediately chill out when jack Johnson was on and ds2 wad singing the words to Valerie when he was 2ish. Y likes it when I sing Katie Perry.

low today. I have a five year old who is tantrumming every day and my kindle broke. I ranted at amazon about the latter but I am at the end of my tether with the first. Sad Sad Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 13:52

It'll happen. I have to admit getting LO to self soothe in her cot has been easier than with DD1, which was difficult and now impossible to get her to sleep anywhe other than my bed. LO just hasn't had the choice, and since 3 months oldish has refused, except on two occasions, to fall asleep in my arms. I kind of Envy those of you who get lovely snuggly snoozes. Am moving LO into DD1 and her's bedroom next weekend. I just wonder when I will be able to persuade DD1 to go and sleep in there.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 13:56

I'm sure Kindles are built to die just after the warranty expires. Mine died when I took it to the clinic to give birth and I was furious. I was so looking forward to lots of lovely reading time with no interuption from DD1. I had brought in a paperback too which saved my sanity but I had already read it and it was a little harder going than I would have liked (The Historian, by Ana Kostova - fab book, to was it yw who was asking for recommendations a couple of weeks ago?)

Amazon got an earful when I got home. Twats.

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 13:57

Oh is that you I'm playing now pp
