I've got another desperate crawler too. You can see the gleam in his eyes as he eyes up the prize dog he wants to get to! DP said last night he doesn't think it will be much longer. Well, I've got news for you DP! DS1 was 8.5 months when he crawled, and he was far more desperate than O! As it was I think DS1 wanted to walk rather than crawl! He walked 2 months later was watching his first steps on camera the other night sniff sniff sniff.
Smear cancelled and rebooked. I had a speculum the other day Stunt when I went with my rotting smell and stingy bum! It is such a relief when the speculum is opened. Fucking weirdo. I used to run screaming from them! TBH it is so numb, I don't think it would hurt anyway. The pain is deeper than superficially inside.
My manager has just rung me back. Relief! She seemed fine, said she hadn't got back to me as there is a new sickness management team run by HR and she needed to find out what to do from them before she spoke to me. Anyway, I asked her in my email if there was anyone she could refer me to, either via OH or anything. She is going to speak to one of the consultants who specialises in perineal bits and bobs! So at least I can get a second opinion. If she says it will just take time to heal, well, time I will have to give it. But I'm hoping she will just agree to a cut and repair job. Always felt it was stitched incorrectly from day 1. I just hope it doesn't make it worse if that is what I have done.
Anyway, she asked me about coming back on light duties, I said yes if that was an option as soon as I felt able to come back that way I would. I said I wanted at least this month off, which will take me to 6 months, and by then I will hopefully have been seen and got another opinion. And take it from there. Explained I went to the study day at the weekend, but the sitting etc just left me in agony by the end of the day, so I'm probably not ready for clinic type work just yet.
She seemed fine with that. Phew.
Also, when I answered the phone, O decided to scream his head off and deafen her. Ooops!
