pass it's a lower case g not upper .......... I'm on game number 2 with Luis he thrashed me first time round and looks set to do so again!

If anyone wants to play me mine is hayley_85 I'm addicted to it.

Brockle · 23/04/2013 09:21

all three kids slept through Grin. (runs away never to return)

ChunkyChicken · 23/04/2013 09:22

Oh meant to say, I left DS propped up on the armchair yesterday, I had literally walked straight from the room to the kitchen, when I heard 'thump' then "waaaahhhhhhhhh!!". He had somehow fallen forward & rolled. He had a wee red mark on his noggin but was essentially fine.

He rolls at will now, both ways but wants to crawl so gets frustrated that he can't move, making a really horrible, annoying, grumpy, grunty noise :(

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 10:01

Now I'm pinned. And it's all sunny and lovely outside. Pfft.

Passmethecrisps · 23/04/2013 10:02

P is the same chunky. She throws herself forward so I pop her on the floor but she gets so cross. At baby massage she was on her front on a rolled up towel but didn't get massaged because she kept trying to crawl away. I actually do hope she learns soon because she gets so frustrated. I know I will regret that but I would love to see her starting to move.

Thanks for the name - I will cancel my game request with a random luis and make a new one.

Every night at about 3:30amish I wake up. About 10 minutes later so does P. she is unsettled for about 45 minutes usually needing her dummy again within 20 mins. Then she is properly back asleep. I wonder who is waking who first? Or have I got so used to her pattern that I am preempting it? It is very weird.

Passmethecrisps · 23/04/2013 10:05

Oh. And this morning DH thought P would look cute sitting in a red armchair we have. She did look cute but he forgets how mobile she is. Thankfully he was very close and watching her. It still took him by surprise though when she tipped over. She has yet to fall off anything or be dropped but I think it is only a matter of time considering how wiggly she is.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/04/2013 10:21

Just popping in. Have been reading but not posting. Had fab night out on sat, not so fab at slimming world this morning as I had gained, but only 1lb so not awful.

On talk of smears I had mine last week, was mortifying as due to fucked up fanjo the nurse couldn't find my cervix and had to call more senior nurse for back up!!

J is still crap at sleeping. Last night was bad bad bad!! Including many night feeds and co sleeping!

I'm gettng energy to go to asda and tidy some of my messy house as MIL is coming round for tea. The joys!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 23/04/2013 10:23

Ps Luis I've started a game on words with you.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 10:24

I've got another desperate crawler too. You can see the gleam in his eyes as he eyes up the prize dog he wants to get to! DP said last night he doesn't think it will be much longer. Well, I've got news for you DP! DS1 was 8.5 months when he crawled, and he was far more desperate than O! As it was I think DS1 wanted to walk rather than crawl! He walked 2 months later was watching his first steps on camera the other night sniff sniff sniff.

Smear cancelled and rebooked. I had a speculum the other day Stunt when I went with my rotting smell and stingy bum! It is such a relief when the speculum is opened. Fucking weirdo. I used to run screaming from them! TBH it is so numb, I don't think it would hurt anyway. The pain is deeper than superficially inside.

My manager has just rung me back. Relief! She seemed fine, said she hadn't got back to me as there is a new sickness management team run by HR and she needed to find out what to do from them before she spoke to me. Anyway, I asked her in my email if there was anyone she could refer me to, either via OH or anything. She is going to speak to one of the consultants who specialises in perineal bits and bobs! So at least I can get a second opinion. If she says it will just take time to heal, well, time I will have to give it. But I'm hoping she will just agree to a cut and repair job. Always felt it was stitched incorrectly from day 1. I just hope it doesn't make it worse if that is what I have done. Confused

Anyway, she asked me about coming back on light duties, I said yes if that was an option as soon as I felt able to come back that way I would. I said I wanted at least this month off, which will take me to 6 months, and by then I will hopefully have been seen and got another opinion. And take it from there. Explained I went to the study day at the weekend, but the sitting etc just left me in agony by the end of the day, so I'm probably not ready for clinic type work just yet.

She seemed fine with that. Phew.

Also, when I answered the phone, O decided to scream his head off and deafen her. Ooops!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 10:31

Techinically I've had 6 hours sleep. Then another hour. I feel like shit.

Fuck you sleep making me feel even shittier!!

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 11:01

My muslin brings all the babies to the yard and there like, it's better than yours...

Round and round in my head.

It's gonna be a loooooong day.

ValiumQueen · 23/04/2013 11:14

Eh detective? What the fuck are you on about? Muslins and babies in yards?

ValiumQueen · 23/04/2013 11:19

Adapted song lyrics I am guessing...

ValiumQueen · 23/04/2013 11:19

Going around in my head now. I thank you.

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 11:21

Mine too, thanks Grin

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 11:21

S was asleep a second ago, I've just looked at her and she's grinning at me like a Cheshire Cat.

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 11:36

Cat is better! Hiding at the back of his cage, licking jelly off the food they've given him normal behaviour then

The wonders of a cacatrophe (thanks pr) have meant that F has lain happily on her playmat whilst I have made sausage casserole, butternut squash & lentil soup, and lemon muffins. Nom

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 11:45

Is anyone else sometimes surprised at how strong their babies cab be when, for example, they're pulling your hair?

Glad your cat is ok pig

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 11:52

Yes pr S isn't happy unless she has a fist full of my hair and she bloody hurts! She's also taken a likening to twatting my face, which also hurts!

MaMaPo · 23/04/2013 11:54

Pinned. Can see sunshine at edges of curtain. Gutted.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 11:56

I've just had to put up with 30 minutes of being face twatted and hair pulled. And foot crotched. All in the name of baby entertainment. Oh, and I was forced to sing as he did it. Hmm

He's in one hell of a grump today. Hmm Hmm Hmm

I've put the music channels on for him now. I need a rest! He's currently listening to chic - le freak!

And yes VQ altered lyrics. As I tried to get the damn muslin around his neck for feeding, as opposed to in his bloody mouth.

Can someone come and rescue me?! I'm never going to get anything done today. Crying already.....

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 12:02

I have a hair pulling - face twatting - desperate crawler here too.

Went out for a walk and he slept in the pram. Sunshine did me the world of good. Am soon to be pinned to the sofa for his big afternoon nap though.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 12:04

Fucking hell. He's dictating the channels. He's got me channel hopping for Oscar approved tunes. Hmm

He liked Bruno Mars. He did not like it when he ended. I don't think he likes Owl City....

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 12:05

Oh and the foot in the crotch too. He seems to be at a stage where he is bored of everything he has learnt and is frustrated by all the things he can't do yet. Which means lots of whinging.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 12:06

Doesn't like Green Day. He's ambivalent about Take That....

Blue he considered for a moment before... nope.
