Detective if you have BV then a smear will be excruciating.

I was awake Luis but I've been avoiding my phone at night as I suspect it interferes with my sleep. Shame a I quite like Pringles. Not sour cream and onion though. Boak.

I have a meet up with two luvverly November mummies (not in our quiche) in Newry today which is about 50 miles away from here. Not looking forward to the drive but there will be lunch civilised conversation at the end of it.

We were up twice but decided not to use iPad anymore as I have troubles going back to sleep. O was clingy yest, hoping for a better day. I have an Ou assignment due today and no, I have not finished it yet. I really need to get motivation, I'm screwing my marks big time. I decided not to care about the grades on this module but i need to pull myself together big time.

Removal van is coming on sat, so much to do. I feel sad leaving. I feel sad in general.

Ouch for chickenpox, hope little ones will get better soon.

Dixiebell · 23/04/2013 07:29

I was up too, tried reading Fred but was struggling to keep my eyes open. Ted woke 12, 3, 4.30, and up for day at 5.45. I'm hoping for a miracle when we start solids now. Want to move him into his own room soon but the thought of traipsing through there 3 times a night is not enticing.

TheDetective · 23/04/2013 07:39

I was up too. Silently seething with DP for his inability not to wake up the neighbours for one bloody night feed. O was up at 1.30 and I made DP do it since he didn't want to go to bed... Course that meant he did it with a face like thunder. And attitude to match.

Had a feeling O would have an extra feed in the night anyway as he took 4 bottles only yesterday. He's slept til now so that's fine!

PurplePidjin · 23/04/2013 07:40

I was awake, but the boiler pump knocked out the ring main taking the internet with it so i couldn't get online. Couldn't fix it either as was feeding. It also took out the monitor and it I've never been so glad of dp's insomnia before - R was absolutely howling at 4:40 for his second feed Sad

Luis, I'm waiting for you to start a game! I don't know how to find people who don't use their fb name!

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 07:48

Morning all.

VQ happy birthday for yesterday.
PR soooooo pleased for you that you have had 2 weeks without illness, hopefully this is the start of a good run of things for you.

Hugs to all those who had a bad night, S woke 4 times, just for a dummy and a bit of hand holding a couple of the times.

TERRIBLE MUMMY ALERT!! I have just literally watched S roll off the bed, one minute she was in the middle next to me, we weren't sleeping, dp had brought her in when he got up for work (he like a morning cuddle with her) the next, she was on the other side of the bed and I just watched her topple over, I didn't even notice her getting to the other side too busy on mn poor little thing was screaming the place down. She's ok now though, and doesn't seem to have a bump or bruise anywhere, although she probably will later. I feel awful Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 08:04

Oh no, don't worry I am sure she'll be fine. If they scream immediately there is unlikely to be much more than a bruise to the head. She'll be crying from fright more than pain.

Luis sorry you are still having bad nights and painful knees. i hope the doctor can give you something to help with the pain.

Detective don't forget your smear. Am due one myself

Just picked the first tick of the year off the dog. Lovely. Hate the bastard ticks.

We had a 2am feed last night. Not sure why.

Lily this is a new start for you, a great opportunity to send some time with LO. Try not to loook at it as permanent. You can come back to the UK when you like. Or go elsewhere.

Catbag · 23/04/2013 08:06

fruit Fear not, we've all done it as we said to evil when N fell off the day bed. At this age LOs are getting quite robust. Just keep an eye on her and get her checked out if she starts doing anything different or you are concerned.

Pikz · 23/04/2013 08:11

Morning campers!

VQ happy birthday for yesterday Thanks

Well done mr Fatima!

Catbag sorry to hear about reflux etc hope R and S are ok now

Fruit do not worry we will all do it... LO has been close a lot of times.

Went out with my NCT mums last night. Weird to see all of us with no babies... Was lovely though to be out and about again.

I may well look up that csection cream... Mine is still a little numb... Is that normal?

PR well done on no sickness for two weeks... It is a big achievement.

Can someone please tell me why when LO sleeps better than ever am I so shattered? Why is that? Is it just catching up with me?

Lily big hugs Thanks

Luis hope the knee is better Biscuit

fruitpastilles · 23/04/2013 08:11

Thanks pr and cat she seems fine now so hopefully I haven't broken her! I didn't think I needed eyes in the back of my head until she started crawling!

Kyzordz · 23/04/2013 08:22

Morning all, firstly fruit I was assured it happens to all of us when Eric rolled off the foot stool last week. I'm sure she will be fine bless her!

Was awake last night but not enough to post. E is still very snotty at night and started the night shuffling and moaning at 1am :( thankfully he is still drinking milk well in the day but his sleep and mine has been massively disturbed for four nights now. Really hope it fucks off and leaves him alone soon.

E is 24 weeks today, time flies!

StuntNun · 23/04/2013 08:24

Numbness is normal Pikz, the nerves take a long time to heal.

My mum phoned this morning, "So is he on solids yet?" Sigh. He's 23 weeks on Thursday so there's no rush. He shows no interest in food, can't sit up and can't put things in his mouth easily his eye yes but not his mouth. I did get some cucumber for him to try but I don't get why she's in such a hurry to wean him. He's had a couple of tastes of baby rice and sweet potato and cucumber sticks to try but he just doesn't seem ready.

Pass my shiny new tumble dryer is arriving tomorrow. Thanks for the info, I did get one of the Which? Best Buys. It was a bit more expensive than my last one but it's a Bosch so hopefully it will last 15 years. I don't actually use the tumble dryer all that much but it does come in handy in the winter or when they boys need schooliform (sic) urgently for the next day.

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 08:26

Another night of co-sleeping in the pig household. Since starting on the ranitidine, she has been a nightmare to wind, so is full of the most dreadful man farts, which seem to hurt her. Only 1 night feed though, so not too bad.

Luis sorry you're still having a shit tough time - hope the naproxen helps. Your posts do make me laugh though.

Detective I need my smear too but there is categorically no way anyone is going near my lady parts at the moment with a speculum. Nope. No chance. Must ring the hospital to chase up broken fanjo appointment actually.

Fruit I'm fairly sure they bounce at this age clutches at straws

Waiting by the phone this morning to hear about the cat. He was in my dreams last night Sad

Passmethecrisps · 23/04/2013 08:29

Morning baby makers.

Be back later to write things. Eggs to eat

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 08:29

Yes I was told when LO had her accident that they are easier to break the older they get. And as adults we are easier to break than children etc.

Hope you cat is OK pig

And just because I can Dragon happy st george's day Dragon

And Bear

PetiteRaleuse · 23/04/2013 08:30

Just re-read that. Makes it sound like I break people for a hobby. I don't.

Bear
Passmethecrisps · 23/04/2013 08:46

luis I made a game request with you. Is it luis_g?

Clarella · 23/04/2013 08:49

proper catch up in a bit but need to vent....

ffs baby just self settled in the hammock with a slight rock. dh put him in as was bored of entertaining.

he slept for 2 and 3 hour stretches in night on dream genie with sheet wrapped over. he didn't wake screaming as usual but grunted out a load of farts and self settled. then was just awake (never happens)

he went to sleep lying next to me after boob and a small bottle of ebm didn't work.

I just never know what to replicate!!!!!

Clarella · 23/04/2013 08:50

it's my baby's day today! (George) Dragon

maybe he'll sort himself out??!

Passmethecrisps · 23/04/2013 08:55

Raar Dragon

Fingers crossed for pussypig.

How exciting about the dryer stunt!

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 09:00

pig I hope your cat is ok. My old cat used to be my baby so I know how you feel Sad Thanks

Can we all please stop talking about smears? It's making it very difficult to ignore the fact that I need to book mine Grin

fruit I was thinking just yesterday that it is a miracle I haven't broken O yet. I am sure it is just a matter of time. Oh, tell a lie, I bashed his head on a picture frame when he was a few weeks old Hmm

Operation Encourage Oscar To Eat More In The Day So He Feeds Less At Night starts today. I am going to try not to feed him after 4am so he wakes up for the day hungry. I am also going to try and space his feeds out more so that he is properly hungry at each feed. In time, I also hope to reduce the amount of his night feeds. I'm sure it won't work but I have nothing to lose.

He refused to be put down for his first nap so am sofa pinned. Am off for a walk later so he can nap in pram.

BigPigLittlePig · 23/04/2013 09:06

Fucking idiot that I am, I just took a picture of F asleep on the sofa to put on fb to show chasing that I have progressed from being pinned to an item of furniture, to being pinned to a room. Only went and dropped the camera on the laptop making an almight racket, and woke her up. Dolt.

Cat was my trial baby - figured if I could keep a cat going I might be ok with a baby Hmm Just as long as the real baby doesn't go round jumping into soup stains still on the sofa after 3 years and lots of vanish

ChasingDaisy · 23/04/2013 09:08

Grin at pussypig

pig when I do manage to get O down for naps it is on the sofa too.

LuisGarcia · 23/04/2013 09:10

pidjin I don't facebook. I reactivated my account to join the group but it's not my thing, sorry. I'm not ignoring you I just don't ever log in to see notifications. I play words with friends on my phone.

Pass it's Luis G 2005 I think

ChunkyChicken · 23/04/2013 09:15

Pinned to sofa cuddling a grumpy baby to sleep at the mo... rather typically his eyes close at this precise moment so no time to catch up

So quick update.

VQ happy birthday to you & Boo.

DDs birthday went really well with a bare minimum of tantrums. DD had a great time & loved her playhouse & octonauts party decor. She also loved the blue icing on the cake!!

DS is loving food. He loves sitting in his bumbo & feeding himself. He actively gets grumpy for food, even after a bf. Little piggy.

Love love love the weather!!

Lily good luck with the move. When fate closes one door, there's always another open one... Failing that, a window Wink

Must book smear. And seem to have eerily textbook cycle now, 5 days of bleed, 28 day cycle. Weird. Fc it remains...

Must go & eat leftover party food breakfast.

Happy St Georges Day Dragon hope the weather is great for everyone today & all babies, Mummies, Daddies & siblings stay well.:)
