cat Since I posted that photo she's at least doubled the amount of spots she has. I had already posted 2 photos of the spots in the earlier days though so didn't want to bore everyone with yet another photo!

pr your dinner sounds yummy. And yay for no hospital visits. You deserve a healthy household as you really had a bad run of it.

We are doing a meal planner thing this week. DH won a subsription to a website which sets out the ingrediants, prep time, and step by step instructions etc etc. The food is quite unusual but it is healthy and todays dinner was actually quite tasty. We have salmon tomorrow. 1 meal each week is fish and 1 is veggie. I normally can't get DH to eat a meal that doesn't contain meat and DD1 isn't a massive fan of fish so will be interesting. I'm quite pleased though as I love salmon.

Happy birthday vq!

Congrats on staying away from the doctors,pr!

Another one here saying I'm in awe of you mins dealing with allergies, reflux etc. I find this parenting lark tricky enough and am blessed and lucky enough to have a healthy baby. Hats off to you.

Congrats on the job, mrfatima.

Hope your little one is ok, Eliza. I had chicken pox twice as a kid - as an infant and again when I was about ten. You're not supposed to e able to get it twice - lucky me! I think they vaccinate for it in Aus as well so C will have that.

My hungry baby went 3-4 hours between feeds today and ate for around 5 mins. I had to express this afternoon for some relief. Then stuffed herself for an hour before bedtime. Strange wee thing.

ValiumQueen · 22/04/2013 21:56

kirrin just the teat and cover.

kirrinIsland · 22/04/2013 21:59

Sorry cross post.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VQ Thanks

ValiumQueen · 22/04/2013 22:02

I had shingles when I was 6. I was off school for over a month. I knew I was ill because I was allowed to sleep in with my mum.

ValiumQueen · 22/04/2013 22:02

MsJupiterJones · 22/04/2013 22:02

Poor E Eliza. That sounds awful. At least she is so much stronger than she was a while ago and will take it in her stride I'm sure. I hope dd1 is being helpful!

Happy blimmin birthday VQ. ThanksBrewWine I am glad to hear your DH got you a good present but hope he more importantly gives you a bit of support instead of throwing you random dietary curveballs.

Catbag I also did not look at or touch my CS scar for a long time. It is quite raised and dark so I might look into that stuff. I think I applied for the test too but had forgotten about it. At least it's stopped being so itchy, for a while it was driving me crazy. Thanks for the tip. Smile

ValiumQueen · 22/04/2013 22:05

I also confess to refreshing frequently, and being disappointed when it is quiet. Not so much now though since he is on the bottle as I do not have a free hand.

pennie It's called the fresh 20. One problem with it is it's american so it requires some translation of ingrediants and and measurements. My friend uses menus4mums which looks good. More suited to my family than the one I'm using so I might try that one in the future.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/04/2013 22:23

Thanks for vq (birthday variety) and pennie an eliza (get better ones)

So I got out the house in the end. To take the cat to the emergency vet, where he is now resident with a drip and a diagnosis of pancreatitis Sad Poor old furry soul. Upon my return, F is WIDE AWAKE. Fucksticks. I wanted an early night!

FatimaLovesBread · 22/04/2013 22:24

Happy Birthday VQ Wine

Thanks for all DHs Congrats.
We'd been waiting since last week to hear about this job with fingers crossed.
Then a friend of his who'd left his last company for a new job told him that there was an opening at his new company if DH wanted it, problem is it's 45 mins away down the M62 carpark meaning 50 mile round trip a day, £60 diesel a week for £2.50 an hour. We were discusing it saying it wasn't feasible but should he turn it down when at least it's a job.
Then the place from last week rang to say "when can you start?"

It's a lot better, 4.5 miles and 12 mins away according to google maps. So a lot more workable with us sharing a car. Yay! Such a weight of our minds, we'd got enough savings to last until we got back off holiday but would be panicking after that.

Means i'll be going back to knackered though, DH had been getting up with M so I could get a chunk of sleep after her 5:30/6am feed until 9:30am to catch up. Hopefully Ms sleep regression won't last much longer though so I can get back to a bit of normality.

Looking forward to going shopping with my mum on Thursday. We're getting the train to Leeds with M so mum can buy me some clothes for my birthday last month and I can get some holiday clothes and new bras. I can also get M some holiday clothes too.

QQ - How many nappies do you think you get through in a week? Trying to work out how many to pack.

Kyzordz · 22/04/2013 22:32

I spend alot of time refreshing too Blush!

So much to reply to but have a df to do in a mo, will try n remember everything!

Congrats to your dh fatima

Happy birthday vq! Poor j, hope he feels better tomorrow

Poor s catbag glad he's better now, it's awful seeing them like that. Luckily e hasn't had an episode for ages but it wasn't fun. yw and the other reflux mummies are just amazing, it's all so hard anyway without the extra reflux issues :(

Ermmmmm... Hope you're better soon pennie

Hope e's pox piss off soon eliza the poor mite

yw my sister talks out of her backside more often than not so I shall ignore said weaning comment as I ignore other things. Why I listened to it at first is beyond me!

Yaaaaay for illness free time pr!!!

I bet I've forgotten something...

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:33

Another disappointed refresher here too!

Sorry - I decided to go to town this afternoon, needed a few bits. Over did it completely, and went from feeling good, to fucking shitty, and am now on the sofa and hurting fucking moves!

Happy fucking birthday VQ Grin! I would have said the best present would be DH to declare himself vegan no more! But Dexter on your tits sounds good Grin.

Oscar... Oscar. Where do I start? Turns out Oscar hates facing me when in his pram. I put him in the pushchair part today, and he grumped around the shops. Until I turned him around. When it was THE BEST THING EVER! Then when I nipped to Asda for a few bits, I decided to put him in one of those little trolleys, but in his car seat. He faced outwards. He fucking loved it! Chuckling away to himself Confused. Am feeling redundant! And stupid. Fussing about getting a parent facing pram. O does not want to be parent facing! Hmpf.

He seems to small for all that. But he loved it...siiiiiiiigh! Oh, and he is too warm everywhere we go. I had to leave him in vest and babygrow today, as he was just getting so warm. I felt rather judged. But he went mental til I took his cardi off!

I tried O with some parsnip tonight. Disaster. He's not ready at all. So all the lovely purees I have made are going in the freezer for the next month! He choked twice the only bits he got down him, had to lift him out the high chair, and he vomited everywhere, including his milk. I gave him some parsnip to eat BLW style, and some puree (was the puree he choked on). He tried to nom the parsnip stick, but got confused. He didn't want me to feed him, but took the spoon himself, and got it in his mouth along with his eyes, nose and eyebrows but just choked. So, I'm leaving it. I thought he was ready. Clearly not!

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:37

Fatima I took a pack of 36 nappies when we went for 5 days. Came back with half a pack!

He goes through 4 a day depending on how many poos! Otherwise he gets one in the morning, one at lunch, one mid afternoon and one at bed!

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:40

BP :( poor poor cat :(

VQ You just need more practice! My MN catch up times are when O feeds! Hold phone in supporting hand, voila! Or sometimes O wants to be propped up on cushions and fed so I am not holding him.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/04/2013 22:43

Detective I feel bad now about moaning about cat vom twas gross though He didn't even bat an eyelid when they stuck a thermometer up his bum. Normally he'd have bitten the vet long before she got that far.

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:44

What's the prognosis like?

BigPigLittlePig · 22/04/2013 22:47

Should settle down with fluids and painkillers, then needs a diet of dry food only. She said wet cat food is like Maccy Ds for cats - I had no idea. He has been sicky since we started giving him more wet food so it would fit. Fairly sure he hasn't eaten any earplugs/shoelaces recently - foreign body was her other diagnosis forgot about the missing syringe but surely not

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:47

I meant moving fucking hurts. I am tired. Clearly! Hmm

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:48

Good to know he will be ok! Yep, wet cat food isn't good for them. We give all our pets past and present dry stuff. They hate us for it. But tough Grin.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/04/2013 22:50

Weirdly he has always preferred dry food. When he was a kitten wet food gave him the shits. He picks his favourite bits out of the dry food, and leaves all the boring brown bits for later Grin

TheDetective · 22/04/2013 22:52

Fussy fucker! Our dog food is all the same shape, flavour and texture. She must really hate us Grin. Still, she gets lots of treats.

Including the bowl of puree I dropped earlier. Literally landed splat on the floor, in a perfectly circular splat too! She sorted that out for me!

BigPigLittlePig · 22/04/2013 22:55

I didn't mention to the vet that the cat likes to eat crisps, biscuits and tomatoes too. Probably won't help matters. He's a greedy thing usually. But hasn't eaten since yesterday morning.

Clarella · 22/04/2013 22:56

happy birthday vq! love your prezzie - dexters something I always thought I could get into.

oh catbag how hard that must have been. a gp mate has said that reflux is massively undiagnosed. ime hvs cling on to the whole 'projectile vomit' thing but it's not necessarily that straight forward.

dh has valiantly settled lo twice since 7:15 (taking only literally a minute each time) but the 10:15 screaming was definitely boob related. I was supposed to be sleeping but couldn't. he was going 2 hours from initial put down last week but with me next to him admittedly. think our regression is ramping up a gear Confused some of me wonders if I should be feeding every wake up to calm him down in the evening? sort of regress myself too? the bed time feed felt like I had no milk - it's so hard to judge bfing. Confused
