Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh yes kyz DS fell off the sofa. I was out of the room & ignored his grumpy noises as I was busy & he has 'form' for getting bored & vocal, but he had rolled and was laying on his tummy, kicking his legs like an upside-down turtle. Bless. DD fell off the bed whilst under DH's care at about the same age. It's easily done!!

YellowWellies · 11/04/2013 23:10

Awww ta VQ at 6 months in - I'd be the same about dairy I reckon. I'm fantasising about eating a multi pack of Mars bars, cheese on toast and a cuppa - so am counting down to October!

Meals has LO grown a lot? The meds are very weight dependent. It might be that the dose needs upping or alternatively go for the big guns and ask for omeperazole. Ranitidine only worked for a week for DS.

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 23:18

Ham meals. Definitely ham.

Kyz While we were at my dads, O was sat on the floor, between my feet. I do that with him a lot, he seems to enjoy it as he can sit, but supported. Except, he was on wooden floor this time. And I felt him start slipping between my legs. I couldn't catch him in time, before he clonked his forehead right on the floor. Duuuuuh. He cried, shouted at me, then magic cuddles made it all better and calpol.

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 23:23

pass Is P on the maximum dose of the Ranitidine? I think O needs a higher dose, as although the acid attacks are much better controlled, the vomiting isn't. He was calculated to have 0.3mls 3 times a day when he was 14lb1. I upped it myself, but using your calculation he could now have 1.53ml 3x a day. I'd like to try him with 1ml 3 times a day.

Was told at 6 months to split the dose to twice a day, but under 6 months, 3 times a day?

MsJupiterJones · 11/04/2013 23:32

Oh I think I misread VQ sorry. Blush

I went to bed at 9pm, L was asleep by 10 and I'm still lying here reading the Yoni threads on AIBU and Classics. Go the fuck to sleep!

TheDetective · 11/04/2013 23:42

YY to the Yoni threads. Fuck me, I had to stop. My pelvic floor needed more toning before I could go any further!

Good fucking night one and all!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 12/04/2013 00:07

vq its a new model tomy one. Has a few features we wanted like talkback, nightlight and lullabies etc. Our daughter's is a tomy and sound quality is great.

I agree yw looks fab!

I love the jellykitten bunnies but sadly that's one thing we never received.

Went for lunch today and used the seat unit on pram rather than carrycot. My baby is growing up!!

I'm actually really sad to think we are done with babies. I only ever wanted two but DH wanted 3. He said after seeing me haemorrhage that he is done. I've spent 8 years with him being brainwashed that 3 is the magic number and now he only wants two I'm at a loss! I think we would be silly to try again as needed Clomid this time and they think J was possible twins. Had horrendous SPD then awful delivery and would also be at risk of post partum psychosis again so my head knows its not sensible but....I can't help think of the finding out your pregnant, the scan , getting bump and the newborn cuddles etc :(

LuisGarcia · 12/04/2013 00:15

Cats are lovely.

Just saying.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 12/04/2013 01:16

det so that would make our name Lorraine? We would have to be dairy free though. Is that possible for a quiche???

yw she is 9kg! Huge for 21 weeks!!! On 1ml twice a day. Looking at the figures the doctor gave me, that's the most she can have? Also I am not losing weight because I discovered I can eat bourbons and it's not fair!

Cacacaz · 12/04/2013 02:12

Izzy condolences to you and all the family, so sorry to hear this news, massive hugs. How is Hubby bearing up?

Luis that drinking game sounds fun. I would be unconscious and probably be in dire need of hospitalisation if I were to join in.

I can't bloody sleep so decided to get up and express now rather than at 6 am in the hope that I will be able to go back to bed. Although the cat seems to think it if fun to use the dining chairs as scratch posts and I'm getting mightily annoyed with her.

Going to catch up and try to post more often [highly unlikely emotion]

ValiumQueen · 12/04/2013 02:21

JJ it may be that I need to give up dairy or stop bf soon. I would opt for stopping at this stage. I will only do this though if advised to by someone who actually understands the problem I.e the dietician.

First waking of the night after. 6.5 hours so well done my boy. A quick feed which being boob has not had gaviscon.

This quiche would not be dairy free as most of us are scoffing it. YW would be the parsley garnish and other dairy free members would be the onions. Detective would be cheese, Pass most definitely ham. I would be in the pastry due to my high fat content.

ValiumQueen · 12/04/2013 02:34

Yes Izzy I too meant to pass on condolences. I feel for you over the thoughts and fears for a third. I firmly believe what is for you will not go past you, but appreciate that is no use to you whatsoever. If you do decide to have another, a nice big age gap might be an idea so the two you have are more self sufficient physically and emotionally. There is no need to make a decision now, and your husband clearly loves and cares for you deeply.

Cacacaz lovely to hear from you x how is the stunningly gorgeous M today? Seriously fellow quiche members, all our babies are beautiful, but M was right at the front of the good looks queue. He will be a heart breaker for sure.

Cacacaz · 12/04/2013 03:08

Well done Prince Valium! I'm glad the dietician is being more helpful and supportive than the gp. I do think though having worked for GPS they are expected to know everything about every medical condition when in reality, this is simply, just not possible.

M decided to finally roll over yesterday, in front of dh and I. We were cheering and whooping so much that we gave him a fright, cue lots of tears that only some mummy cuddles could fix.

I can't remember who mentioned weight loss and pre pregnancy weight, but well done that is fantastic. I attend weight watchers and have a mere 3lbs to lose to get to my pre pregnancy and goal weight. So far I have lost 4st 11lbs. I would really like to lose those last 3 lbs next week, before my mum comes back from her 6 week jolly down under.

My baby is 5 months old today, these have been the happiest ignoring the fact we have had some shit thrown our way months of my life. I feel so lucky and blessed that we are a little family. I love being a mummy more than I could ever have imagined possible.

ChunkyChicken · 12/04/2013 04:35

DS has just woken me grumping/whinging on the edge of crying, so have changed bum, given dummy, cuddly, "sleep" doggy and he's quiet & self-settling I hope. But as DH is away, I am SOOOOO tempted to bring him into bed with me. Which is silly. Because he's fine. It's just me that wants a cuddle!! Hmm

GTbaby · 12/04/2013 05:10

LO looked miffed when I tried to use dummy just now. In a wtf r u doing mummy way lol. So gave water. But was still a bit "darn you women you know what I want!" Was about to cave! But then came to bed. He seems to be a little whingy. But I think is falling asleep. How long till he decided its not worth getting up?

Horsey I have same bf fears. But to add in also worried ill give up quicker and not give it a proper try as LO has done very well on ff the little chunker. DH is already saying "bf? So new baby will take ages to get into a routine". So I know he won't B 100% supportive Hmm. Just have to try I guess n see what happens.

Posted early n scrolling no can't find it. So vaguely remember what I wrote-
VQ glad you kinda got what you wanted. I would have caved and listened to gp. So well done.

Madam hello! No gt quotas. I just don't have time to monitor or care

Det welcome bk. although I think that's a diff post?

I think LO is asleep now. So phone away and time for me to join him.

kirrinIsland · 12/04/2013 06:04

N went down at 11, and woke at 1, 2, half 4 and now. Mostly just for a quick comfort suck and straight back to sleep - but then it took a couple of goes to get her back in her cot.
My brain is mush so I'm not sure, but is it M, MM who is also existing on next to no sleep? How are they doing it? It can't be right?

She is 5 months today and she may well be getting formula for present!!

Thechick · 12/04/2013 06:23

We had a better night. Only 3 wakings I think, but the 12am one took an hour which doesn't ever happen. I think we are going to put H in his room very soon. DH wants it but I'm hesitant.
Fatima I feel exactly the same way about H growing up. It seems to all be happening too quickly. They really don't stay tiny for long.
Horsey I had a debrief about both my births. The first one was in pregnancy and I was deciding whether to have a vbac or elcs and the second one was looking to see if there was a reason ds2 came early. I said I was never having another and 13 yrs later....
Chunky H adores his older brother. Always has the best smiles for him, it's really lovely to see.

Thechick · 12/04/2013 06:36

Vq congrats on your LO's excellent sleeps. Sounds like he's definitely getting there.
Cacacaz my goodness that's amazing weight loss.you must be so happy. I've stalled. I need to start doing exercise, the weight isn't falling off like it was before, but it has taught me to make much better choices.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/04/2013 06:50

Morning. No work today. Off to High Wycombe to collect my a a rhinos ebay win. Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/04/2013 06:51

Barginous! Not Rhinos. Hmm could be a reasonable new word for bargain!?

StuntNun · 12/04/2013 07:03

Sophia you got me all excited about your rhino win there!

I have gained two pounds Hmm too many takeaways and too much birthday cake this week I think.

J decided to be awake for an hour at 3.30 a.m. Not hungry or anything, he just decided it was time for a chat. My side of the conversation was mostly, "Go to sleep J."

OP posts:
PetiteRaleuse · 12/04/2013 07:11

We are a quiche Lorraine aren't we? I live in Lorraine and it is our local speciality. Though that certainly isn't dairy free.

LO woke up for a long chat during the night. Wasn't hungry and didn't have a dirty nappy, just wanted to talk. So we talked.

Now she is better though I am trying to work out a little routine. She slept through plenty before, she will no doubt be able to do so again.

I put the butternut squash puree in a salad bowl, covered it, left it in the frdieg and was going to freeze it this morning. It's gone. At some point DH got hungry during the night Hmm

ValiumQueen · 12/04/2013 07:41

pr naughty DP, but that stuff is hard to resist.

cacacaz that is amazing weight loss, after an amazing weight gain in pregnancy. Do you have any pictures of you cuddly? I just cannot imagine you being overweight as you look fab.

ChasingDaisy · 12/04/2013 07:51

Not a bad night here. 7:15-00:00-4:00 then in with me at 6:10 and still sleeping now. I put him down awake for both cot transfers and he self settled so happy about that. I would love him to drop one of the night feeds but he seemed genuinely hungry both times so I guess he isn't ready?

Lily311 · 12/04/2013 08:00

Was up twice, I can deal with that. Her nap was messed up yesterday so I guess that is causing the wakings.

I am counting down the days when I can go to the gym. It will be 4th of May and my parents will babysit. They will love it, and finally I can concentrate on me a bit.

I read the Yoni threads last night, nearly woke O I was giggling loudly. Funniest thread in a while.
