Rubbish horsey. What's the matter? Cold? Tummy bug?

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 23:29

You could try that detective, I found not talking to him during feeds today worked, hard, as I love spending the time with him, I just hope he stops this silly total pain in the arse behaviour soon! I did talk to him if he drank well but tried to keep it nice and normal, didn't make myself sound too 'fun' if that makes sense

Not feeling good how, Horsey?

Was looking at those earlier bplp they do look good :) ds has one of those bath stations and I've been wet through all week so definitely need an alternative. Hes too big for it now, he's a big chap so hope he fits in one of those seats! Also looking at the things you use when they can sit up, the seat type things. Not sure if one is necessary or not but he's not at that stage yet so I won't panic buy one like I do every bloody thing else!

PetiteRaleuse · 15/02/2013 23:36

Dexter started. Spilt drink. Mopped it up. Power cut. Went and jiggled fuse box in the very cold garage. Settled back down. Spilt drink. Came back with kitchen paper to mop it up. Dog had attacked my dinner which I'd left in front of TV.

Boo.

Missed most of Dexter. Will have to watch repeat as catch up TV here won't switch to English.

Watched new episode of Greys. Lovely friend in New Zealand started texting. Hoping Greys episode will stay in box long enough for me to watch it tomorrow. Sometimes they stay, sometimes box wipes its own memory just for the hell of it.

Now lying in bed. DD1 snoring in my ear.

Life is pretty damn good after all, despite me spilling all my martini. Well, most of it Wink

TheDetective · 15/02/2013 23:40

Fuckin' 'ell PR you think that is good?! Gimme a Martini if that's what one or several more does!

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 23:46

Wouldn't mind one here too, martini's all round then?!?

TheDetective · 15/02/2013 23:53

Zonk....

PetiteRaleuse · 15/02/2013 23:55

Just on a bit of a high since I realised Dd1 was a bit better earlier on. Have been terrified bastard flu would develop into pricking pneumonia or other such bollocks.

TheDetective · 15/02/2013 23:58

Well that's definitely all good then!

Contradictionincarnate · 16/02/2013 00:14

down and out at 12 two hours prior to yesterday just checked with dh if he changed her before sleep like we always do ...no! so it won't be a long sleep but don't want to wake her now! Sad
I can't do martini always struggled with it ... had one spiked at a James bond themed party that would put you off for life! I remember I had a sexy cat suit on which wasn't done up and my boob popped out bouncer carried me out to chuck me out leaving coat inside! I wanted to say something has happened to me I'm not like this!!
a friend of my boyf gave me his brand new coat to keep warm ... how sweet ...even though I was in danger of ruining it.

kissyfur · 16/02/2013 00:22

I would also love a martini! Wine

Ah I think you have the different strength ranitidine to the rest of us by the sound of it then BPLP. I found the leaflet that came with the bottle Blush and it doesn't say to store in fridge. Definitely no expiry date anywhere to be found tho. Will ask the doctors on Monday

Hope you're ok horsey?

Just been watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, anyone else watched it? Only watched 2 episodes but loving it so far!

TheDetective · 16/02/2013 00:22

I'm starfishing!

Bed to myself! YES!

DP up at 6 so he is on the sofa to escape screaming nightfeeds so he doesn't wake us getting up with his 1600 alarms. Oh this is heaven!

TheDetective · 16/02/2013 00:24

I was about to set an alarm for the morning. Then I realised how stupid this would be.

Hmm

As if I need any other alarm. My poor phone has Bren redundant for 12 weeks!

TheDetective · 16/02/2013 00:26

Or rather... Been. See, it's letting me know it's pissed at me by making me look like an illiterate turd.

ChunkyChicken · 16/02/2013 01:32

3hrs & fucking 40mins since last feed started ffs!!! Goddamn it baby, what happened to the 4-5+hrs from.day sleeps??!! Falling asleep again myself, almost dropped phone!!

Reading Call the Midwife, unfortunately not on the Kindle. Seems diverting enough at the mo :)

TheDetective · 16/02/2013 03:07

Didn't make it to 3 :( we are going backwards again!

That is all. I can't think if anything to say except 'but you used to do 8 hours waaaaaaah'. Selfish bugger am thinking fuck fuck fuck don't still be doing all this pot luck sleeping when I'm back in work.

TheDetective · 16/02/2013 03:15

On the positive side he is very fast with the feed and doesn't need settling at the first feed. Take the positive side! Grin

He is getting very strong Confused and is really starting to hurt me by kicking like a crazed wilderbeast during some nappy changes or when he is fighting sleep. Gaaaah. Beat up by a tiny baby! What a wimp!

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2013 03:15

Woo hoo! Three hours! Well done my boy! Just goes to show, everything is relative.

Grays too. I really must look and see what I am missing on TV.

TheTiger · 16/02/2013 04:19

Wow, theres loads of us on gaviscon. I've got 5 boxes left, so 10 days worth. I think im going to have to start giving it at night only. He does have ranitidine too so hopefully will be ok. Stupid gaviscon makers, dont they know how much we need it?! They are going to be the focus of my sweary wednesday.

Ranitidine lasts for 3 months. We use the mahoosive bottles at work and its a 3 month expiry. Doesnt need to be in the fridge.

I think we are in teething hell here. He keeps screaming out for no reason and chewing anything possible. Ive bought some teething granules. Poor little boy.

Right, back fo sleep - pleeeease sleep L!!

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2013 04:24

Been awake for nearly 1.5 hours. Not a happy boy. Two poos interspersed with a vom. Very mucusy but he wasn't at start of feed. Dreadful wind too so he was wide awake. Just put him down but not going to bed as he is wriggling like a very uncomfy baby. Will get him up in a bit and wind him again. This is not fair. Something is not right.

Evilwater · 16/02/2013 04:28

Well N is up! And thinks the world should be up to. I love having his new video montor, I'm sat here watching him, while he is looking into the camera. He poking his tongue out at the mo. he changed and fed, so should be sleepy.

Sorry to read of all the poorly babies still.

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2013 04:31

He has just coughed up a huge lump of mucus. Wide awake again.

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2013 04:36

Always fancied a video monitor. Could really do with one for 2yo as she gets into some mischief. I can always hear her but it is not always obvious what she is doing. Although when she got up to make toy toast earlier it was quite clear, and when she gets in bed with her sister you can often hear the annoyance of said sister.

Not much snuffling audible now so hopefully he has shifted enough to sleep.

Contradictionincarnate · 16/02/2013 04:58

Mmm yes vq it is definitely all relative - it is as if as soon as they do a longer stretch more than once your body gets used to it and when they revert it hurts.
in my former life pre-baby I would sleep 9hrs a night Woah I would love 5 or 6 in a row!
Sad a

ChunkyChicken · 16/02/2013 05:05

Not even 3.5hrs again. But yes, VQ its all relative!! At least DS does his feeds with efficiency, we're done & asleep within 30mins, but he too is incredibly snotty. He kept pulling off to breath whilst feeding :(

Contradictionincarnate · 16/02/2013 05:54

think I asked yesterday but probably in the middle of a long rant...
reflux-help and advice.
my d seems to be bringing back up most of a feed every feed is that reflux? she also seems to be in pain sometimes lying on her back.
