Hugs tits - can only reflect what others have said re seeking extra help. As pass said the Scottish system is to involve all agencies who have involvement with thw child. I think you are in England? Unsure of policy there but it might be worth looking into. Hugs in the meantime, I can't begin to imagine what you are going through. Thanks At the very least can someone have your older boys for an hour and give you and J some headspace?

Pass sodding cars are the bain of my life. We have downgraded to one, but it is very unlikely it's going to be worth putting it through it's MOT next month. Problem is we have agreed to replace it with a new to us, not brand new car when it inevitably fails drastically, but we are very hopeful dp is going to get this new job with a company car. In which case I will only need a small runabout for when he is away and it would be madness forking out for a big family car we wont need. Problem is we wont hear about the job till after the MOT. Similarly he's still arguing out the details for the promotion he has been offered in May if he doesnt get the new job, and one of his conditions for taking it is he wants a company pickup. Thing is he is one of only 4 people qualified to do the promotion. It will cost the company 15k and 3yrs+ to train anyone else and they really need 6 skippers so he is using this to his advantage. I digress, we need a new car sooner than we will know if we need a decent big family car or a small runabout.

Feeling a bit better today. DP now has it. M woke up in the middle of the night screaming the loudest scream she has ever done. A real pain scream. It was horrible, a bit of calpol though and she seems fine. I hate giving her it but she clearly felt rotten. Luckily she has no temp but I'm keeping an eye on her and having a quiet day.

Fab news re MA yw. I'm not at all jealous Envy ....

capedcrusader25 · 15/02/2013 12:32

mm is right tits - we have CAFs here in England. They get a bad rap but in fact when done properly they are very good for getting everyone involved with the child/family together in one place to look at all their needs and try to put things in place to support them and their family. I'm a social worker and the child protection officer at our school, so I know there is plenty out there that could be offered. School is a good place to start because they're a good central base. If you let them know who are already involved they can get things started Smile

applepieinthesky · 15/02/2013 12:43

chunky DS is the same with regards to sleep. He always woke up on average every 3 hours or so then a couple of weeks ago all of a sudden started going 7-8 hours without waking. Now he's back to every 3-4 hours again Confused I have no idea why because we haven't changed a thing. Very frustrating isn't it?

PurplePidjin · 15/02/2013 12:48

www.cftrust.org.uk/ Any use, Tits? Also push for a referral to CAMHS through your GP, it's bound to have an impact on his state of mind. Have you tried for DLA for him, maybe that could pay for some respite care if you're not entitled through SS?

My experience is all ASD and LD so i may be way off bat, but hopefully that'll give you a leg up Brew

kirrinIsland · 15/02/2013 13:07

Sorry you're having such a tough time tits :-( any chance of getting some time to yourself today?

Glad you're feeling better mm

Interview was ok - have to wait til next week for a decision.

Titsalinabumsquash · 15/02/2013 13:15

I'm ok thanks Smile

No one to take any of them sadly so I'll have to make do but I will get onto the hospital team to ask for a CAMHS referral.

PurplePidjin · 15/02/2013 13:24

What about a young carers group? Dsil's 5yo gets taken out on trips in the holidays because his 7yo dsis has ASD, he gets to do all sorts. We do what we can but we're 80 miles away. He'll probably come and stay again in the summer though

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 13:43

Still have some net, wonders will never cease! Glad the interview went ok kirrin fingers crossed!

horseylady · 15/02/2013 14:20

Chunky - some of the reflux formulas are make up with cooled boiled water. Not at 70degrees but room temp. Just in case she's using one of those......

Passmethecrisps · 15/02/2013 14:42

Hallo. It would appear the Infant Gaviscon shortage is ongoing. Rats.

Glad interview was ok kirrin

Glad you are feeling better MM

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 15:08

I've just remembered, I have several boxes of infant gaviscon, ds is no longer taking it. Would you like it posting, passme? Can't remember if anyone else mentioned needing any or was it you? Got five unopened boxes plus 14 sachets x

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 15:08

14 dual that is

Kyzordz · 15/02/2013 15:15

Maybe 4 unopened. At least 4, lol! Can check when not feeding DS

ValiumQueen · 15/02/2013 15:19

kyz sell them on eBay. You would make a fortune (joking)

ValiumQueen · 15/02/2013 15:22

I hate waiting for MOTs. Like waiting for a baby to be born. You hope it will all be ok, but know there is a chance things could go horribly wrong.

ValiumQueen · 15/02/2013 15:25

Thank you for the recommendation for the mixed feeding thread. I will go and check it out. Feeding and naps going swimmingly today, and I have a happy baby.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 15/02/2013 16:02

My MOT went well vq, only needed a bulb and a handbrake adjustment, phew!

Dd1 is still poorly. I thought she was better and sent her back to school but she had a relapse last night. Her temp went up to 39.1 and she was delirious. I've kept her at home today, she's really snotty and her temp keeps spiking at 38.6. Don't know what to do, I keep giving her capol every four hours, but should I take her to the doctors? Please advise me someone, I'm rubbish when it comes to illness.

Passmethecrisps · 15/02/2013 16:12

kyzords do you? If you genuinely don't need them I would be massively grateful. Our Doc called to tell us that even the hospital is on its last stocks. I will PM you my address. You are a total stAr

Passmethecrisps · 15/02/2013 16:22

Categorically no experience toomany but I would see a GP. Temperature like that I would - how old is she?

Checked eBay - people do sell IG on there! Amazing. It would never have entered my head.

Passmethecrisps · 15/02/2013 16:27

Apparently the machine which does quality control has broken so they cannot continue production and cannot give any indication when production will start again. Bertha is broken!

P has frothy poo. When does the worrying stop? Her poo is like this;

Solid and sort of gray/green
Followed by
Softer yellow stuff
Now followed by
Yellow froth

She is drooling all the time, tries to chew my fingers off and I can see two white patches on her bottom front gums. I am presuming teething. Anyone else got any ideas?

It's been a lovely day. Shame I've been in such a meh mood

kirrinIsland · 15/02/2013 16:38

Sorry, I only posted briefly earlier as I was on my phone and I hate it - it's soooo slow.

stunt you're in-laws sound like no fun at all :( Why do they insist on seeing you every weekend if they have no interest in actually spending time with the children. I'd be tempted to save myself the journey if I were you.

pass I have no knowledge of poo, but I suspect the worrying stops when they are 80 or you are dead - whichever comes soonest.

MissMummy1 · 15/02/2013 16:46

xposted earlier kirrin - fingers crossed for you!

And fingers crossed vq the car passes! I know for a fact mine is going to fail next month. It is making an awful knocking noise that can't be drowned out by the radio anymore Confused my solution to all car issues Blush . Going to need to decide whether to swap it for another cheap runabout (bought this one a year ago when I wrote my beloved peugoet off, in fairness it hasnt let us down... yet) or overstretch ourselves and buy a new car we may not need if/when he gets the new job. Insignificant in the grand scheme of things but it's really worrying me what to do - we've just finished paying off the sodding audi we got rid of 3 years ago Angry .

Inspired by pr I'm going to make mac cheese tonight. Except I've just found out dp took all of the bacon to work today (feck knows why - I'm not paying to feed his crew as well as himAngry ) and we only have red leiscester cheese. That's okay, isn't it? I'm a rubbish excuse for a domesticated woman Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 15/02/2013 17:11

I'm doing duck confit and fried potatoes tonight. Yum. I don't know about Red Leicester - I'm not very good on English cheeses. Is it like cheddar? If so it should be fine.

Stunt do you have to go to your ILs? They sound pretty awful.

No idea on the poo Pass

DD1 has had a very very long afternoon nap and seems quite a bit better. Back to creche on Monday at this rate.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/02/2013 17:13

How old is she TooMany ? I'd be tempted to assume it's flu / a cold but these things can turn nasty. Take her in to put your mind at rest possibly.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/02/2013 17:14

How are you feeling this evening Tits ?
