Anyone got/used SockOns? I put Oscar in an outfit yesterday, required socks. Bloody socks. I hate socks on babies!

For future outfits, anyone recommend them, or otherwise?!

ChunkyChicken · 05/02/2013 13:49

Can't catch up at mo but nursing bra fitting advice/question.

Haven't got a properly fitting one so going on which bits 'fit' & which don't, and using measurement from a tape measure which are usually inaccurate IME I ordered some from John Lewis.

Anyone else find that the lack of underwire etc causes it to 'bag' a bit on the side/underarm area?

I fill the cups & the band is snug, so as far as I can tell, its the right size BUT the sides are wrinkled. I need to get a proper fitting I dream of going to the rigby & peller shop at Bluewater but do you think this is par for the course at the mo?

I'm wearing one of the bras as I type (the cheapest one) to try it out, but at £40 for 3 bras, its a lot of money to throw away....

Damn you DS for making my boobs bigger than with DD. I had the bras already to go!!!

donna it will be three weeks before any pox appears. I would discuss risks with nurse - may be better to get them out of the way? Hope your wee one is spared, and poor mother. Shingles is horrid horrid horrid!

detective J has two pairs of pink sock-ons. They are good for the first few months, or if baby has very small thin feet, otherwise they can look as if they are cutting the blood supply off. I plan to invest in some neutral coloured tights for with outfits. I know, you pity my son, don't you? Third child with two big sisters. He never stood a chance.

I have a chest infection and antibiotics. Fuck.

FatimaLovesBread · 05/02/2013 14:03

detective Not tried sock ons but M has some socks from baby gap, bought at the outlet and they stay on really well and quite thick. She's worn other pretty ones and they fall off

Snow's falling heavier now, DH has rung wondering whether to leave work early or not

TheDetective · 05/02/2013 14:08

VQ I used tights on DS1, so don't worry!! J isn't alone Grin.

I had a 3 pack of white, navy and red. They went with everything! Oscar is skinny, skinnier than DS1, I'm not sure he could hold up tights! He can't hold up most pants Hmm.

He has skinny feet I sense a theme here, so maybe sock ons would be okay!

Fatima I'm not sure when I will next get near a Gap! :( Not got one here, probably Trafford Centre is nearest. I might have a look online. Does M have slim feet?

Now VQ, it is your turn to be looked after. Especially as you have a chauffeur slave now. Grin

FatimaLovesBread · 05/02/2013 14:14

Yes Ms feet are long and thin. We don't live near a Gap either, Trafford centre or Meadowhall probably closest. I got them when I was a pregnant from a Mcarthur glen type place. They're plain white and quite thick and have baby gap on the bottom in that plasticky non slip stuff. Looking on their website they look like the cozy favourites or ribbed favourites.

M has some converse socks so at the weekend she had the gap socks with the converse ones over the top Grin

kirrinIsland · 05/02/2013 14:23

Hope you're feeling better soon VQ

I've just had an email inviting me to a second interview - i can't stop smiling :-)

Well done kirrin.
