J is still bad today, not enough for me to take him to the hospital yet but his breathing is still slightly laboured and he's needing I be woken and made I feed frequently because he's only on the breast for 3-5 mins a time before falling fast asleep again, horrid RSV/bronchiolitus doesn't help that my boiler has packed in so we're in a blanket nest here trying to keep warm. Hmm

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 07/02/2013 17:27

Got the confirmation today my student loan is paid off, and that means the nursery bill will be much better than I was expecting. Very pleased. especially as I have been ignoring a clear leak from the bathroom into the kitchen and which I need to investigate

Detective I feel your pain. We have 2 cars to get through service and MOT. I will need new tyres, and DH's car's electronics have gone. And they're always nice and cheap to repair.

Went to softplay today with a friend. DD is super brave and was throwing herself around. She's just 2 but infinitely preferred the over 4s bit, until she took a massive tumble. Fortunately she was fine, but I did get a lot of Hmm and Shock that I'd let her in there the first place.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 17:29

Jabs done, barely batted an eyelid. Having fed hourly all morning, she slept for 5 hours this afternoon - what the actual fuck?!

We met the childminder this afternoon, she seems lovely and is more flexible and much cheaper than nursery.

Sorry 'd'p is being a nob mm. DH has been known on occasion to get all defensive in a row and say things like "well just go then". Usually I tell him to stop being a twat, but once I got as far as packing a bag and stropping to the door and luckily he saw sense don't know where I'd have gone though

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 17:34

Bastard sodding bronchiolitis Tits you could do with a break from sodding RSV too Thanks

i think it was Evil who suggested a thankful Thursday after yesterday's swearathon. So, i am thankful for saline drops, ebay, a dog with endless patience with DD1, this lovely group and for whoever invented coca cola. And formula.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 17:38

I am thankful for well-timed smiles. Also for saline drops and gaviscon. And super absorbant poonami-capable nappies.

Titsalinabumsquash · 07/02/2013 17:38

I'm thankful for Pinterest and all the lovely ideas I now have of things to make from the quite frankly ridiculous amount of fabric I've brought accumulated over the years! Car seat wrap here I come, will save me spending £££ buying one Grin

horseylady · 07/02/2013 17:39

When I priced up a cm they were more expensive. Prob because they did no day rate. Plus work nursery is fairly ok price wise. And cm hours were odd.

Vq - maybe not then if he lies flat in the day? It's prob just habit. Hugs anyway. Try tonic. With gin if you prefer. It might pick you up a bit.

Det - yay for money!! Good news about your child care too!

Erm that's all my news!! Oh I saw the vicar. He'd lost my number for Sunday. Also the church woman can't add up.

I like plank - works all your muscles. I try to do it daily. Though ds finds it hilarious when I do sit ups with him. And lunges. I'm glad he finds it funny!!

Clarella · 07/02/2013 17:41

oh my goodness garden you are an angel, thank you!! xx Thanks
vq so sorry your lo is still struggling

horseylady · 07/02/2013 17:41

I too am thankful for formua and saline drops. And epidurals.

And ds too :)

ValiumQueen · 07/02/2013 17:46

horsey I still have a niggly suspicion about silent reflux though. Thank you x
Is there a christening on Sunday then?

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 17:48

I am thankful for Oscar. And you lot. You have educated me, and kept me sane just! in equal measures.

Other things... swaddle. Definitely the swaddle. I am also thankful for cake my arse is not though.

horseylady · 07/02/2013 17:48

Yes. He's wearing tweed. I think this will be ok?!

horseylady · 07/02/2013 17:49

Oh and push for some ranitidine worth a try x

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 17:50

My armpits stink .

In other news. DO just rang Greenflag to come and jumpstart him. .

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 17:52

I heart babygrows. Decided anything else is faff. Too much faff. Soft dungerees with feet on I might make exception for!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 18:01

I have to admit that LO, at almost four months, has never been dressed in anything other than vest and babygro pjs. Oh, and coat/snowsuit etc. Would dress her if we had an event or a social occasion but at the moment we don't. Will be less lazy when spring happens and there is more scope for cute photo opps.

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 18:21

Sometimes I am convinced I am a thread killer! Grin

ValiumQueen · 07/02/2013 18:22

horsey tweed will be lovely. I need to book a christening for DS too. I had a lovely silk dress for DD1, and have kept it for her. DD2 had a lovely silk dress too, but DH put it in the washer and it did not survive. Have not given much thought to what DS will wear. Do they sell silk baby gros?

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 18:23

detective - fit! Thankful for baby wipes too??

ValiumQueen · 07/02/2013 18:25

I am thankful I was sterilised.

ValiumQueen · 07/02/2013 18:26

They do sell silk baby gros. They look just like cotton though. I am sure Ralph Lauren would have something suitable. (Joke)

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 18:33

Oh yes. Well, DP is. If he wants to sit near me tonight!

StuntNun · 07/02/2013 18:35

I am thankful that my money worries are about trying to convince the buildings society to give me a mortgage apparently not so easy to do and not about trying to find enough money for food. I am thankful that my biggest stress is being kept awake by my baby any not being kept awake fretting because I can't have children. I am thankful that I live in a time and a place where I can have a comfortable life in a pleasant environment although I could handle a little less rain.
