Garden those peaceful moments are lovely aren't they.

TheDetective · 06/02/2013 19:41

Fuck Stunt I'm sorry, all financial institutions are cunts. Hate the fuckers. I hope there is some way of salvaging it. Can DH apply for the mortgage alone, and then add you at a later date?

I'm liking sweary Wednesday and Thursday, Friday, Saturday....!!

I'm having a week of dilemas. I'll not bore you with them. I'm just in dilemasville!

Childcare is now sorted. We are not having a childminder apparantly Shock. I am a little worried. I hope it doesn't go tits up.

DP's mum is doing tues/fri as needed, and my mum will do 1 saturday a month, and the after school club co-ordinator at mums school will do the other! Shock. I will be paying her though, but just for the cost of the saturday. She has had DS in the school holidays before. I don't know why I didn't think of her. My mum suggested it, and asked her. I don't know if it will go tits up, but if it does - well my mum is just gonna have to do it til we get something sorted, since she bloody suggested it!

Best thing about this woman is a) I know her, and b) she lives on the street where DP parks his car from work (which is a 10 minute walk for him) so it's just all ideal really.

Will just have to see how it goes, and maybe have a little pot put aside for emergency childcare.

I'm still worrying though, as lack of formal childcare is not something I am used to, well not for babies anyway! Mum assures me that she will have him every single saturday if we need her to, as soon as he turns 2. Hmm So we will have 18 months worth of Saturdays to juggle first!

TheDetective · 06/02/2013 19:43

And I'll not mention the trekking i'll be doing taking 2 children to 2 different places. Mum is still having DS1. Confused

Even though she thinks Oscar is 'the most placid, easiest going baby ever'.

gardenpixie32 · 06/02/2013 19:46

Glad you are sorting childcare out Detective. Is she a registered childminder? If not, I would be wary as she won't have any insurance to care for children in her home.

ChunkyChicken · 06/02/2013 19:49

We have a wankey Wednesday at work so why not on here??!! Grin

Nothing really to report, its all good Shock

GT I'm not sure you actually need to go back to work but financially it might be necessary iyswim. Oh and look on the pushchairs forum for double recommendations, or bestbuggy.co.uk. I like my Smyths Simples Duo but if money was no object, a Mountain Buggy or Bugaboo Donkey would have been on my wish list.

detective that's good.

VQ PR etc Sending "get well" thoughts your way!!

TheDetective · 06/02/2013 19:58

Yes she is garden, she does holiday care as a CM only. If that makes sense! She works in the school breakfast/afterschool club, then does CM for school aged children in school holidays only.

I think I'm not going to get a new pram. I can't find one I like, not even the expensive ones. I am going to wait til he is a bit older, and parent facing doesn't bother me as much.

In the meanwhile, for my holiday, I think I am going to buy this buggy bag which is for a double buggy, but reading the reviews it seems it fits the bigger singles in. So i'll get it, and if it doesn't fit, can just send it back.

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:06

All this swearing is very childish indeed. Not impressed. I thought better of you.

Lane if my little darling would stay well for two consecutive days I could consider starting GF. I did get him up early this morning, which is a start.

J has a nursery place booked at the same nursery as DD2. Gonna meet with the manager and see what he can come up with money wise. They are very kind - more than a business as far as I am concerned. They genuinely care, and gave me free childcare for two mornings a couple of years back when things got a bit sticky.

Now stop fucking swearing dears!

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:10

No more blood btw.

I also recommend mountain buggy, and will have one for sale in August. And a PnT with doubles kit. I can post!

horseylady · 06/02/2013 20:12

I've not been swearing :) I am once again covered in **ing vom. The sooner this gets sorted the better.

horseylady · 06/02/2013 20:13

You name changed!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 20:16

Can I join in the swearing please? My reliable food processor has fucking blown up mid-fucking blend. Well pissed off Angry

horseylady · 06/02/2013 20:17

It bolded my * this is why I do not use them!!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 20:20

Ha ha excellent name change VF i just laughed quite possibly for the first time today Thanks

Well I'm caaling it a day, am fed up of today and just hoping that tomorrow will be easier. Cold meds have made me nice and drowsy.

Night all

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:21

Grin too subtle perhaps?

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 06/02/2013 20:21

Sorry VQ am going to add to the swearing. Am having a fucking awful evening. How the actual fuck do you put a baby and toddler to bed on your own?

DD will only go to bed if someone goes with her. We're stuck in a terrible rut of DH putting her to bed with him and lying with her until she is asleep. DH is working this evening. DS wants rocking to sleep or he wails. DD wants to be cuddled or she starts to play. We are all three on the verge of hysterics. I've fucked bedtime up by giving in to DD when I was pregnant and working full time and doing bedtime on my own. DH hasn't done nightshifts since DS was born, so we just continued, and in a couple of months I will be working full time in a highly stressful job, doing bedtime on my own again, and I don't know how to get bedtime sorted.

Tonight we will survive, because by the time I have posted this, I will have recovered my patience and will feed DS until he passes out, then deal with DD.

Sorry fOr ranting. Especially after a lovely day which included meeting BigPig and Evil. Grin

Stunt fuckers. Hope you get it sorted.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 20:23

Sleep deprivation has rendered me drowsy. Strongly suspect cold meds would induce a coma.

Boob gremlin tonight Sad
Garden or catbag, whoever it was who had your goo-ey loved up twin moment, I get this often and have to wipe away a tear but still no periods. Still blaming the hormones though!

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 20:25

Oh dear, not a success then madam? Hope you've got satc on standby Wink

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:27

madam our bedtime went to fuck too when I broke my leg, and it is only just sorted now. I make sure I feed J prior to the girls bedtimes, and sit him in his chair with the TV on (desperate times and all that). We did cold turkey with DD2 - rapid return. Took 3 nights to crack her, and now she does not even have a gate on her door. How about taking them all to bed with you, or making a bed up on the sofa for DD and carrying her up when asleep? I feel your pain x

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:28

A meet up - how lovely! How did it go? What did you eat?

ValiumFuckballs · 06/02/2013 20:30

pass so long as you remember the baby, nothing else really matters. When are you going?

TheDetective · 06/02/2013 20:30

I think I have a poorly baby.

Snotty he is, spitting up lots of milk speckled drool? Is this like mucous?

He keep crying out in his sleep. More sleepy than usual. Not as happy awake as usual. I'm not sure. He's just not quite himself, but not enough for me to worry as such. It's probably just a snotty nose!

Mind you he did spend 2 hours awake after a 2 hour nap this morning, and he was fine while we got ready and went to baby massage for those 2 hours. Ah, its probably nothing.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 20:40

VF I had a rather delish hot chocolate with oodles of cream and marshmallows. Little pig ate her fists nice and cheap

We managed to turn heads on 2 occasions.
Occasion 1 - all three babies screaming
Occasion 2 - all three babies sleeping Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/02/2013 20:41

gt Donkey is worth every fucking penny. Is great. Think you can get some good deals on eBay. Have heard great stuff about the Nipper out and about as well.

YellowWellies · 06/02/2013 20:41

Oh I love a good swear. Fuck bugger balls bastard. Ahhhh Grin

Good day here my wee niece is out of hospital with the evil broncilitus. And the jags knocked a good nights sleep into Jonas. I think he's moving himself to a new earlier bedtime too - fingers crossed.

Who was asking about the Sola - Detective? I love mine, now J is more awake its great to see him watching the world, ideal for spotting when he nods off and great for chatting. It's super light too.

Garden pixies I used to live in Durban - great place. I still miss our flat with its views of the Indian Ocean.

Oh Horsey I'm sorry to hear its reflux - poor wee possum. Hope the Gaviscon works wonders.

Weigh in yesterday 11 lb 15oz at 15 weeks - tracking 25th centile nicely - not bad for 5 weeks early.

Still waiting to hear on our house offer - there's been a death in the family so they're not able to consider it for a week or so - fair enough - poor them Sad

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/02/2013 20:43

Also the dinner was a fucking disaster I had to grate the bastard cheddar all over DHs so it didn't look like quite so much shite on a plate.
