Pikz why is your little one having a BCG? I think I remember you saying something about his dad being South African? But why is a BCG needed then?

horseylady · 06/02/2013 15:58

Some areas of the uk are routinely given bcg if high risk

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2013 16:01

Never good walking into school and seeing an ambulance. A teacher apparently. Poor teacher but glad it was not my kid. Heart still in mouth as she is a clumsy bugger.

gardenpixie32 · 06/02/2013 16:08

Thanks but I wandered about the Africa link. I was born and lived in southern Africa for 21 years. First I hear of you needing immunisations, if this is the case.

Pikz · 06/02/2013 16:10

Gpixie SA now considered high risk for TB. As we plan to visit in next 6 months and have lots of afrikan visitors we were told he needed it.

gardenpixie32 · 06/02/2013 16:13

No one has mentioned this to me! I will ask GP when I next see him. My father has just returned from a long visit to SA and has very recently come to stay with us. We aren't planning a trip there in the near future though. What part of SA is your DH from Pikz?

PurplePidjin · 06/02/2013 16:33

We're getting homestart :o love my lovely surestart centre but can we add the hv team to the Fuck list? They clearly know what's going on because one I've never met asked about dp yesterday at clinic yet I've had nairy a phone call. For fucks sake.

Pikz · 06/02/2013 16:41

Yay PP!

Gpixies he's from Cape Town but spent 10years in jburg. Where are you from?

glendathegoodwitch · 06/02/2013 16:44

pikz aka legend 42oz expressed OMD you are amazeballs!!!

stunt that's crap!!

This country is going to the dogs -we're one of the most advanced, affluent and highly regarded countries in the world but we owe as much as some third world countries - I don't ever see this country being like it was in the 80's with people buying their own houses and having the mortgage paid off in 25 years - my plan is to do my training, get 2years experience under belt then piss off to nz!!!

Desperately need a shower before I leave at 5.30 but boob monster is not letting go!!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 17:00

I'd love to move to NZ but I would live in fear that as soon as the children are old enough they would move back to Europe, as is so often the case. Plus I'm pretty much uninsurable for mortgages , and DH is quite a bit older so we're stuck really.

horseylady · 06/02/2013 17:10

Nz isn't much easier than here in terms of getting on the housing Market. A lad I worked with moved out there and found it virtually impossible to buy a house etc. He moved back :( I think oz is easier than nz. Though still a fair amount of racism if my friends stories are much to go by lol!!

My mortgage will prob be paid off in 25 years hopefully!! Hopefully in the next 15!!!

I feel fat a wobbly must go over to the weight loss thread for inspiration!!

Is it swears Wednesday? Grin

Perhaps we could make it a regular feature.

StuntNun · 06/02/2013 18:10

Okay ladies (and MrDetective) brace yourselves for my tale of financial woe. Apparently the reason our mortgage refusal is that I owe Orange £10 so they have put a default on my credit report. Seriously. Apparently I have owed them £10 for six months! I did cancel my account with them eight months ago but as far as I knew I had settled the account in full. What a fucking disaster.

On a lighter note I can't wait to find out what GT's work say when she tells them she's preggers again! Congratulations GT you're going to have such fun! Not Envy at all, grumph.

My ex closed our joint account when we split up without checking that all the cheques had gone through. I went to the cash machine months later and my card was swallowed. Apparently there had been a cheque for 14euros for a pizza delivery which had bounced on the joint account. The bank, without warning me, blocked all our associated accounts, including my own, and it took weeks for it to be sorted. We don't have credit records here but I spent weeks borrowing money from friends and colleagues as I couldn't access my own money, and was stuck in Paris unable to pay my rent or anything. It was horrible. That bank will never loan me money because of that one blip. My ex was unbothered because he had changed banks in the interim the twat . I hate banks, and money lenders, and would stash my cash under a mattress if I had any to stash and if everything didn't have to go through direct debit now.

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 18:19

Why don't we have it as a daily feature? Fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck. And bollocks. Crap I'm tired.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/02/2013 18:20

stunt so if you pay the tenner will it be sorted out and you can get your mortgage and is a happy ending?

No poo today Confused

Would you believe it Mr Fairy has asked me out on a hot date. AGAIN.

After it last party night he was caught telling a friend we should do it more often. He can have a star.

GTbaby · 06/02/2013 18:25

Stunt I am also looking forward to the reaction. I just don't want to tell them myself. Can I just email!?
And also no idea about how long between maternity Leaves there has to be. May have to go back earlier this time Hmm

MissMummy1 · 06/02/2013 18:37

I was thinking of you today GT. I love Tilly to pieces, wouldn't change her for the world! But I definitely am NOT in a hurry for another one anytime soon!

DP gone to work. He has now worked out that I am pissed off with him. I've actually forgotten why Blush . Could my periods be returning? I always become an arsehole in the week before it. Blush a fortnight before and after when on hormonal contraception!!

horseylady · 06/02/2013 18:40

Omg stunt and pr??!!! Seriously!?

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 18:50

Yeah Te stupidest things can cause real problems for credit scoring and banks.

I have an account at Halifax in the UK. i keep it quite empty, and transfer money to it when I have a trip planned. A few years ago I thought I had about 50quid in it when in fact I only had about 20 quid left. At the airport returning to France I made three transactions on my debit card. One for just over 20 quid, which took it into the red, and two more for less than 3 quid each. I didn't just get one overdrat charge for taking it less than ten quid under, I got slapped with a bill for three 30 quid charges. 90quid for less than a tenner. I talked them down to 30 quid in the end but I was fucking furious at their twattishness and the trheatening way they dealt with it. That's on my credit record in the UK now.

gardenpixie32 · 06/02/2013 18:57

Pikz I grew up in Durban on the east coast. Left in 2001. I heart Cape Town.

I think I just had one of the most happiest moments of my life. I was feeding a very sleepy DT1 and DT2 had had her feed and was curled up asleep next to me. Just the glow of the lamp and the sound of them breathing. I felt very tearful and my heart nearly burst with love for them! God, I must be due my period

Pikz · 06/02/2013 19:08

Gpixie my DP only left 6 years ago to be with me. He misses it.

Bugger LO been asleep since jabs at 4. Not eaten since half 2. I'm in for a long night.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/02/2013 19:16

Halifax a shit with their charging system I got in loads of trouble with them during my divorce. It was almost impossible to get myself out of debt with them because of their bloody charges.Angry
