Grin

Thanks to Frak, thread title queen!

It sounds like you really have been having a tough time of it. Even if it is anxiety related your symptoms are still pretty unpleasant. Fingers crossed it's not mastitis but that would be less unpleasant/serious than what probably first came to mind.

Good like with the haircuts iltmi! I've taken to cutting DS's myself. It doesn't look too bad Grin

Can I ask a favour of someone? They don't do prenatal multivitamin supplements here. Last time I went to the UK just after finding out so I got some. Would anyone mind shipping me some over? Will obviously pay you via bank transfer or similar.

Kittycatcat · 24/04/2013 15:25

Nom i can do it, and i can send from work so i dont have to pay postage. Let me know.

Kittycatcat · 24/04/2013 15:27

Ali hope you get on ok tomorrow...

S was in with us last night, not a pleasant experience but he was waking every 10 mins if that. A was sick on DGil yest. Gets a cold gets reflux.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 24/04/2013 17:31

Gosh, Ali. Sounds like you've had loads going on and lots to worry about. No wonder you've been feeling shitty. I hope the visit to the doctors helps you feel less anxious about things.

You must be knackered kitty. Hopefully you'll get some more sleep tonight.

On a lighter note, does anybody want to come and help with our packing? Our purchase has gone through and we're moving next Thursday. There are empty boxes everywhere. I don't know where to start Confused. I need Wine and maybe some practical tips!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/04/2013 18:38

Thanks for the hugs :)

kitty - you must be exhausted, I hope you get a better sleep tonight.

ILike - DS1 asked if he could have a haircut when we were in town at the weekend, DH and I nearly keeled over Grin

TCG - yay for house purchase! Are you having removal people to do the actual moving? If so, ask how much they would charge to do some packing for you. We did when we moved and I think we paid £200 for them to do the whole house. Best money we've spent ever, and we didn't even have the DCs then.

GreenFirefly · 24/04/2013 20:13

Oh TCG I'm envious. We're still waiting for a confirmed moving date. Found out today that the people at the top of the chain haven't yet got the mortgage confirmed which must be why they're suggesting the end of May. This is rubbish for us - we were pushing for the end of April and we're worrying that our buyer might pull out as we accepted his offer way back in November/December. We've made progress in packing and are currently living with boxes piled up everywhere and other stuff stored at various friends and family. And the longer it goes on the bigger I get and the less I can help with :(

In other news I think M is getting over tired and had a number of meltdowns today resulting in an early bed at 6.30. I'm sure I recognise myself in the tired meltdown Blush

GlaikitFizzog · 24/04/2013 20:55

iPad assisted haircuts here! My hairdresser now brings in her own iPad with selected cartoons available for customers perusal!

B actually takes his brush to me now and asked for us to brush his hair! He even let me cut his toenails and brush his teeth tonight with no screaming! I think he has been switched Hmm

YoniHuman · 25/04/2013 00:47

Congratulations Nom Grin

I had the confirmation letter (and the feesShock, no free nursery provision provided here) for P's preschool today, she's starting in September. I?m feeling a bit guilty that she won't be able to do the same amount of hours/extra activities as DS did when he went, but with DH about to become unemployed we can't afford it. Sad

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/04/2013 11:31

Green - how stressful :( fingers crossed for you that things start to move along more quickly.

Yoni - what a nightmare for you all. Is it likely that your DH will get something else quickly? ((Hugs)) we have been through redundancy twice with DH in the last 5 years and it is utterly sickening.

Appointment is at 12. I've had a huge cry this morning, I'm just so on edge about it all. Will report back.

GlaikitFizzog · 25/04/2013 12:59

Good luck Ali, remember we are all here for you (((hugs)))

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/04/2013 13:18

I have come away with a normal glucose result (that was the other stressful thing), a prescription for some anti-depressants, and a referral to the breast clinic. GP is as sure as she can be that the lump is just benign fibrous tissue, it moves around and isn't attached to anything, but the referral is standard practice.
So I'm feeling a lot better, and actually am pleased to have been referred because it will confirm things.

JKSLtd · 25/04/2013 14:21

Well done Ali Smile
Remember I was in ads for a while they really did help even at a low dose. So remember to take them! Smile

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/04/2013 14:47

JKS - I will! I was on them for almost a year when DS1 was little and they really helped. I nearly bit the GPs arm off today when she suggested them! Grin

How are things with your Mum?

JKSLtd · 25/04/2013 20:33

Thanks Ali, she's ok. I spoke to her for a while today. She's had the bone marrow test, needs to give her broken shoulder a bit longer before doing a body set of x-rays. She has another myeloma appt at the end of May so needs to have done all tests by then. Seems to all move slowly but she seems content enough.

Trying a new plan with DD of waking her after just an hour's nap after lunch as she's been awake and chatting at 4/5am. I've left her and she's settled again but it wakes me up and I find it hard to fall asleep again once woken.
We'll see if it helps...
She's desperate for a bed, keeps getting into the boys, but I'm holding out for when she drops naps completely.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/04/2013 10:04

That does all sound very slow JKS, but you have assume they know what they are doing I suppose. Glad your Mum is ok though.

T is just the same with DS1's bed, he loves getting into it. I think we are going to have to shift him in the next month or so, he can get out of his cot but chooses not to just for the moment! DS1 is in a toddler bed still and has suddenly grown a lot in the last month and needs a bigger bed. More money!

GreenFirefly · 27/04/2013 19:38

We've taken the plunge and removed the bars from the cotbed to get her used to the bed before we move house. Stairgate has been moved to her bedroom door. Wish us luck - how many times will we be woken?

Kittycatcat · 27/04/2013 20:38

Good luck firefly. A hasn't got out if bed once and its been a week now.

Happy birthday April 'babies'! GrinX

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/04/2013 08:25

Glad to hear you're feeling better about things Ali.

Ds2 has outgrown his cotbed, we have chosen his next bed but have been putting off buying it because all our money is going towards the extension at the moment Blush

Talking of extensions, we no longer have a kitchen. It has been ripped out and internal walls are being pulled down. We've got a temporary kitchen in the utility room, so at the moment it's not too bad. I may not be saying the same after a few weeks ...........

It was ds3's birthday yesterday. We didn't do that much as we've got family coming over today. We did go out for dinner though and it was a effing nightmare. As we were leaving I apologised to the couple next to us, they were so lovely I nearly cried at their kindness - which is a sign of how stressed and cross I was with the boys behaviour.

I hope it went well last night firefly Smile

I'm taking both boys to a rugby class taster session this morning. We're thinking of signing ds2 up for lessons. No doubt ds3 will want to join in, and technically he can, but he probably won't understand the instructions and he'll be running in the opposite direction to everyone else! Grin

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and happy birthday B Smile

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/04/2013 08:37

Thanks Ilike :)

Actually thanks to everyone for giving me the prod to go to the GP Flowers

Green I hope you weren't up and down 100 times in the night!

kitty a week? That is a result!

We ordered DS1's new bed on Friday, it will be here in two weeks. Then T can come out of his cot and go into the toddler bed! No more cot in my house

ILike we had been putting it off partly on financial grounds too. We actually want to get them bunks and have seen some amazing ones which are £££, but we feel that DS1 is not old enough to go on a top bunk yet, so we've got him relatively cheap single for now and we'll swap to bunks in a couple of years. We were going to wait another 6-8 months and get the bunks, but DS1 has suddenly grown, as has T.

Weather is lovely here. We went out to a National Trust place yesterday afternoon and had a lovely stomp, and got caught in hailstones! Not much planned for today, DS1 has a birthday party later. People seem to do them on a Sunday teatime in his class, which totally buggers up roast dinner!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/04/2013 08:38

Posted too soon.

at the disaster meal out ILike. Ours are mostly pretty good but we have had the odd shocker which leaves you feeling like never taking them out again. Much sympathy! Grin

GreenFirefly · 28/04/2013 16:43

Well, it wasn't too bad. I found her asleep on the floor cushion about 10 and put her back into bed. She cried at 1.30 having fallen out again (and probably got cold) but went back to sleep with a cuddle. On the cushion again at 3.30 but DH couldn't get her to settle back into bed so she came in with us as I didn't want her to spend too long crying and associate her new bed with being upset. I'm going to try tucking the duvet under the matress better tonight in the hope that it might hold her in a bit better.

She's gone back to napping for the last few days, though whether that's to bank sleep for not napping during the week I'm not sure.

I'm getting lots of baby kicks and wiggles :)

GlaikitFizzog · 28/04/2013 17:01

Well we are home from Bs birthday weekend back home! We are all knackered! Spent this morning at the park then visited my granda. B lay down infront of his fire and pretended to snore! This means he was tired, so we had to leave, otherwise and over tired meltdown would have followed.

I suppose I should follow the lead and take the sides off the cot. B slept in a double bed last night as he screamed at the travel cot. It would make visiting so much easier if he slept in a proper bed tbh. Our next scheduled visit is in June, it could be doable!

Mum and dad got in a retro trike that is almost identical to the one I had as a child! B loves it, can't reach the pedals but just wanted to sit on it all the time. We have more happyland than you could ever imagine. The queen has shacked up with the farmer and a couple of sheep! :o

Randomly my mum asked me if I thought I might be pregnant Shock She had a dream apparently. I told her no, but I still don't feel right. My tiredness isn't being helped by Bs 4am starts

We very rarely go out for food, but B has always been well behaved. We might go for lunch to the local place on Tuesday that has a soft play area attached. Watch my previous statement be foolish!

Early night for all in the fizz house!

Kittycatcat · 28/04/2013 20:36

Firefly love baby wiggles.

A has gro stay on bedding. Dear but it dies the job. The duvet zips to the sheet and the pillowcase is fitted to the sheet too.

Fizz I have everything crossed you are! How spooky would that be.

We go away thurs. went lakeside today for mass buy out. Will post purchases on fb for any shopaholics.

Kittycatcat · 28/04/2013 20:37

Ps have you seen the new happyland pirate ship? My mates bought it for s.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/04/2013 10:41

I got the pirate ship for Christmas and both boys like it. He also got the bus for his birthday which he loves.

Today is the come down after having both families around for a BBQ yesterday. The boys both slept until 8 this morning after playing hard all afternoon with their cousins! The house is a shit tip and I should be cleaning rather than being on here Grin

I saw your splurge Kitty! I can spot a few Next items there, the checked shirt especially stood out Grin

Yy to the price of nice bunk beds Ali. There are lots of reasonably priced ones, but the really stylish ones (ie the ones I would like!) are mega bucks.
