That's kind of what I'm thinking Fizz. She was fine about me not being bridesmaid, though she does have about 30 (slight exaggeration) others Grin and I'm sure she'd be fine about us not being there. I suspect we'll say yes but re-assess nearer the time and keep the car close to hand. It'll be a god chance to see loads of other friends too.

How's your foot? Are you home from A&E yet?

GlaikitFizzog · 26/02/2013 16:04

waiting to see nurse practitioner. I thought that was a good sign that it wants broken but the sign in the door says she deals either minor fractures if the foot!

GlaikitFizzog · 26/02/2013 17:09

Soft tissue damage. NP said a break would be preferable! Hmm Thanks for that! I've to keep off it and rest it for 3-5 days! Har bloody har!! I'm having Wine to numb the pain!

Kittycatcat · 26/02/2013 18:36

That's no fun fizz Winewith you!

How I'd you get on jks?

Do you get another scan firefly?
Ditto that. Accept but with a warning!

I'm having a similar afternoon ilike. S woke with a strop. New neighbour came to say hi and collect a parcel I had taken in and s started a meltdown when I gave him dinner, I had to ask neighbour to leave. S cried and cried and refused his dinner.eventually got some in him sorting in my chair. Then a three up loads.

JKSLtd · 26/02/2013 21:46

It was all very positive Smile

A long day though; early start, sing and sign, train to London, met dh & drove to gosh, waited...had appt, dropped dh off & drove home in horrid traffic, got drive through McDs but then ds2 had a meltdown as he wanted to go into 'old macdonalds' eventually eating his food on the floor just inside the front door, kids to bed & me to orchestra.

Bed now!

MrsWajs · 26/02/2013 22:00

Wow firefly you are now due BEFORE me!! Not sure if i'm keen on queue jumpers!! Wink

Fizz bad luck with the foot. Did they tut and sigh when you said you were drunk? I didn't get much sympathy when i broke my foot in a similar drunken pavement related incident AND i had my heels off!!

Sorry been awol recently am perma-tired just now with work and R the stroppy non-sleeping, non-eating child! There is no way on earth she is going into a big bed just yet!!

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 26/02/2013 22:31

Glad everyone's bopping along ok, give or take poorly ankles & busy days.

What is it with these children and eating/sleeping?! Too tired to eat half the time and too hungry to sleep the other. It's baffling!

Wine or Brew for those in need. Grin

Morning all- i have had no luck getting birthday ideas on another thread so wondering if any if you are planning a party for our big 2 year old babies? And if so anyone keen to share their ideas? My niece turned 2 in december and had a rainbow themed party, and a friend made a train out if cardboard boxes for her DS with noise makers hanging from different places around the garden (bells from a tree etc) would love to hear some original ideas! Grin

Kittycatcat · 27/02/2013 07:50

Ours not very original. We are going to have a party at one those kids play places.trying out party man onfriday.

JKSLtd · 27/02/2013 10:04

Confess to having not thought about it at all yet!

JoEW · 27/02/2013 12:16

We just did birthday lunch for grandparents, and local aunty and cousins. It was lovely and C had a great day. I decided to leave a Proper Party until he's a bit older and can appreciate it more. Less work for me!

Good to hear that I haven't been missing regular dentist appointments. I'll book in a starter one when I go next. I have taken to giving Conor's teeth a brush myself after his bath. If I sit him in front of the sink and let him play with the water then he lets me give them a reasonable brush. He sometimes does them himself in the morning (only ever sucks the toothpaste off the brush) but it depends how rushed we are.

Still in a cot and there's no way I'm thinking about a bed until I have to. No way.

Congrats on scan firefly, so so exciting. Good luck on the house, before you know it it will all be over. I'd say no to the wedding, watching everyone else get trollied while you sit nursing an orange juice with massive ankles. Nah.

Poor Fizz, hope you are managing to get some rest.

Hope you're doing ok too MrsW, sometimes when C is a nightmare I wonder how the hell anyone does this while pregnant or with a new baby. Respect.

Dropped Conor off in the 2yrs and over room this morning. I could still hear him crying "mum-eeeeeeeeeeeeee"as I left. Poor little mite.

Hi to everyone else.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/02/2013 12:18

We're having family round and doing a BBQ. If the weather is cold or raining we'll be eating our burgers and sausages inside! Ds3 is having a joint party with MIL. It's her 60th the week before ds's and as FIL has done fuck all about arranging anything to celebrate she's sort of hijacked ds's birthday Confused

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it, I think I best not think about it or I'll get cross. MIL is lovely really so I feel I can't get annoyed about it.

abbyfromoz · 27/02/2013 19:24

Sounds lovely... Missing my family back home Sad
I just had a look on pintinterest today and have decided on a theme (barnyard) thinking of going all out with a few animals to pet, gingham bunting etc... Probably a bit ott but no more babies for us right now so this is a momentous day- our little baby is turning into a little girl... And i confess i am not finding it easy to accept! Seems like the whole world is pregnant at the moment! Lol

abbyfromoz · 27/02/2013 19:26

P.s. iliketomove- kind of hard when that choice is taken away from you i'm sure- but i would love to have any family share the day... I suppose thats easy for me to say though Wink

GreenFirefly · 27/02/2013 22:15

Sorry for queue jumping MrsW, I must say I was surprised how out I was Blush. I hope the sleep improves for you. Maybe she is getting you ready for the newbord stage Hmm

fraktion · 28/02/2013 08:17

We're having ILs plus DSIL and partner and DBIL and partner up for the birthday weekend. No rest for the wicked...

Bed here. He could climb out the bloody cot and he never slept in it anyway so that wasn't a hugely hard decision. Plus he likes to flail and this enables flailing.

Congrats on the scan firefly! Am I the only nutter still BFing? I don't think M will ever give it up...

Dentist we've done nothing about appointments but we do brush teeth every night. We brush then he has a go, ditto mornings when we can.

The foot sounds painful fizz :( Glad there's chocolate to make it better. I'm slightly regretting the killer heels I bought today with intention if wearing them on drunken nights out now. Although it go ohsoslightly tipsy last weekend (4 bottles of wine between 4 girls over 2 hours - can't keep up!) and Sunday morning was Not Pleasant.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/02/2013 12:16

You're right Abby, I should be thankful we have family here. I think I feel annoyed about it as I was steamrolled into and not really asked if it was ok. I need to get over myself Grin

Lol @ queue jumping. I remember getting annoyed at people who gave birth before me when their edd's were after mine. How bloody dare they! Grin

The sun is out here today, it's glorious. I feel so much better when the sun is out. The house has been cleaned and aired

How' the foot fizz?

JKSLtd · 28/02/2013 12:36

ILike - agree about being asked. Only polite really. Also agree about the sunshine, but jealous as we don't have any, yet.

Think I will delay DD moving into a bed for a bit longer then, for some reason I was feeling like it was time. DS1 moved out of the cot at 18months so it was free in advance of DS2 arriving.
DS2 only moved out nearer 3 because he was safest in there when he was seizing.

Have lots I should be doing, going to try and sort Mother's Day flowers online first. Remember to tell your DH/P's what you actually expect to avoid being in the pissed-off-on-Mother's-Day threads Grin

abbyfromoz · 28/02/2013 12:57

Sorry i hope i didn't sound like i was saying you are being unreasonable iliketomoveit... I totally understand the steamrolling thing. I guess having family thousands of miles away can have it's advantages too Wink

GlaikitFizzog · 28/02/2013 14:15

Rest appears to be working! That might change tomorrow with b at home!

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 01/03/2013 05:57

Morning.

Frak, I'm just in the process of giving up BFing. There's hardly anything left, I keep putting F off & distracting him with cups of milk instead. He was 23mo yesterday.

I'm 32 today. People are going to start expecting me to be a grownup aren't they?

GlaikitFizzog · 01/03/2013 07:08

Happy birthday UBW!

Kittycatcat · 01/03/2013 07:42

Kudos to those still breast feeding our Aprilites. I've now stopped feeding A. Both boys slept through last night. Whoop.

Happy birthday ubw

MrsWajs · 01/03/2013 08:43

Happy birthday UBW Wine I'm pretty sure you don't have to start acting grown up immediately! Wink

GlaikitFizzog · 01/03/2013 13:05

Is 32 the optimum age for grownupedness then!!? I have 6 months! I still feel 19, only with less tolerance for alcohol :o
