Anyone else loosing clumps of hair?

Report
Pikz · 30/01/2013 13:45

Stunt yes to 6+ plus. I ordered that for L as he's in 3-6 clothes. It's not huge.

Good luck Kirrin.

Hugs to everyone.

The terrorist is currently laying on his changing mat sucking his hands happier than he's been all night and morning. I give up!

Having cuddle time with LO. Watching true blood. Grin

Ok managed about 20 mins in crib each time before epic meltdown resulting in needing to nurse as nothing else will soothe

At a loss. She seems to have no self soothing skills and her separation anxiety is through the roof. I guess I just keep trying till she realises I come back/ she learns to sooth?

Pikz · 30/01/2013 15:03

Katie what about putting in the pram or something with you next to her. When LO won't nap like this Arvo I've put him in swing where he can see me and he's nodded off.

So, this morning my 4 yo DD managed to tip 4oz of the 6oz of bm I had just freshly expressed onto the living room carpet. I was very distressed, but got over it. Then I managed to get my babies' age wrong. Genuinely though they were 14+1; turns out they're actually 15+1

I have managed to watch three series of Prison Break (a Christmas present to myself) in five days and tonight we are all having Subway for dinner cos neither DH or I can be arsed to cook

I kinda suck today :(

gt Love True Blood- watched the first four seasons last year when I should have been doing uni work. My hair is also falling out at a shocking rate :(

daisy Are you a law person too?!

catbag cut yourself some slack. I also claimed LO was 2 months yesterday when she's nearly 3 (where is my baby going?)

pikz good idea except she wants up the minutes she's cranky you know? I've never known her 'drift off' anywhere other than being rocked to sleep or on my chest suckling my finger.

I'm starting to lose it a little....

So DS is going roughly 2-2.5hrly for feeds since 4.30am, after doing 43hrly feeds yesterday. He's 11+3. He's cat-napping as a result of the frequent nursing need but is generally quite happy, although goes 0 to hungry cry in seconds.

Hands up who thinks its the 12wk growth spurt fairy come early?

Report
ChunkyChicken · 30/01/2013 15:47

Good point stunt about size of star wraps & thanks pikz. DS isn't quite in 3-6 in all clothes but it won't be long... I guess the bigger wrap will be useful nxt winter, whereas a snowsuit is only useful now. Is the wrap genuinely warm enough, over say, a bodysuit, babygro & cardigan?

Chicken there probably is, but afaik my hv is still "pondering what support would be best" - direct quote from Other hv at clinic last week. That would be two weeks after i requested support and the second time I've cried at them luckily my gp is fab and I'm seeing her on Friday, the SureStart support lady has done a HomeStart referral and sorted the tax credits wankers people out and my mum is going to come and help clean the house next week following the massive guilt trip i laid on her yesterday for spending her life shopping with her friends instead of playing with her only grandchild Plus I'm seeing dp's physio lady on Friday to check how I'm coping.

I'd love to do a big online shop but getting out every day is the only thing i get that approaches a break - R is happy in the sling. He refuses to be put down for more than 3 minutes, and even grotters at you if you don't entertain him to a high enough standard Hmm

Thanks Clarella Thanks

I tried to make Yoda this morning (next on the list) but didn't have enough wool so need to go to the shop asap! Luckily i estimated I'd be starting on Monday so lots of time - i aim for one a week so i don't let anyone down if I'm going slow for a while!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/01/2013 15:51

I have no idea how many weeks LO is. I check each Friday, then forget again.

Katie I've got one like that. Will. Not. Sleep I'm eternally grateful that he does 4-5 hours 9-1/2 every night then usually another 2 or I'd have cracked up by now.

kirrinIsland · 30/01/2013 15:55

Thanks for all the good luck vibes. It went ok I think? Not only did I remember my own name, I even remembered to write it on the test paper!

Hope you are all feeling better soon VQ and that you manage to get some sleep in somewhere somehow.

pidj you are doing a great job. It's hard enough without the extra stress and workload that you have. Can you get any help somehow? Mothers help? Cleaner? Child care student?

N had a bottle of ebm this morning as I wasn't there, and then slept in her bouncer for nearly 3 hours. This is unheard of! I'm not sure if it was the bottle or the absence of me that did it, but I am tempted to try another bottle tomorrow to see what happens. When i fed her when she woke she took a proper feed rather than snacking so Perhaps if I do that for a few days she might learn to space her feeds out a bit? Or i'm being optimistic and it was just a fluke?!

PurplePidjin · 30/01/2013 15:59

Glad it went well, kirrin, fingers crossed!

Dp was on a low income and i was made redundant so no spare cash here :)

Got the girls 2 cute vests each. One says Sugar & the other says Spice. And, one that spells out Love. LO on the one vest and VE on the other. I do love dressing them up!

Katie we can lose the plot together over our velcro babies. Having spent most of the morning in the sling, she was as good as gold at boob group. Upon our return home, she point blank will not sleep anywhere else other than in the sling/on me. I have tried the crib, the bouncer, the pram. On her back, side and front although that made me paranoid. She's back in the sling. Hopefully it's a phase and it won't last don't know how heavy a baby I can carry like this

ValiumQueen · 30/01/2013 16:11

cat you never suck! I will resist the temptation to be smutty. I will not mention Sandy Balls either.

J is asleep on my lap. The only place he can settle today it seems. High temp overnight, but only slight today. Needing pain killers though as clearly very sore. Snotty as a box of snot, but breathing is ok so far. Eating fairly well, weeing ok, green poo. Grumpy. He slept in his cot overnight but kept crying out.

Girls and DH no better, I have no fever! Yay!

pidjin sounds like you need some flowers. How old is LO? Madam was exactly the same about playing till 10 weeks but now amuses herself till she realises I should be observing her!

BPLP how old is yours? I was just on the phone to my mum who said I had 2 options: let her cry or keep going and eventually she'll suddenly fancy a bit more independence. I've said before I'm crap at crying and she doesn't do grizzly cry just 'I am so distressed I'm going to vomit any second' screaming. So crying is out. That leaves me with carrying on. (Pulls on sling) here's hoping that Dr Sears knows what he's talking about with AP eh?

Garden please put them the right way round at all times so muppets like me don't get confused.

You lot all seem to know each other? Are you all local? (Hopes someone is in London)

Pikz · 30/01/2013 16:32

Chunky yes it is. I'm using instead of pram suit due to Luc despising pram suits.

I think I might have a 12 week growth spurt going on at 10 weeks. My smiley baby is a grump who shouts at me a lot. Is eating every 2/3 hours after 2 weeks of 4/5 hours day and night. I am tired and he is shouty.
