Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/01/2013 11:03

Good luck Kirrin

YW DT2 suffers more with reflux than DT1. Being prem is the reason for them suffering with it. Seeing the pediatrician again on Wednesday. And yes, it is tough but it will pass. Enjoy your shopping trip :)

KatieLily12 · 30/01/2013 11:44

garden that's interesting about prem. while not prem, LO was 8 days early (she tried to make a break for it from week 33). I've always wondered if some of the things like sleep and reflux were influenced by it. The overdue babies in my group just seen so 'with it' in terms of feeds and sleep.

glendathegoodwitch · 30/01/2013 11:52

Madam I too am LO free until 2.30 and instead of sleeping Stoopid woman I'm running errands in town and getting a pedicure!!! Boobs might explode lol

gardenpixies32 · 30/01/2013 11:55

I know what you mean katie. I was in bed thinking about exactly that last night. My girls are 17 weeks but 11 weeks corrected and there is a massive difference between them and other babies. I can see they are behind developmentally but I am not overly bothered about it. The pediatrician says that they will have caught up by 3 years old. Have realised I probably wont be able to do BLW like I really wanted to. I think I will do purees and give lots of finger foods until they are able to fully feed themselves then cut out the spoon feeding. 7 weeks to go until I can start weaning, so not long.
Pediatrician said being prem and sharing an environment (the uterus) makes a big difference in development.

It must have been scary having your little one try to escape at 33 weeks! What happened?

Clarella · 30/01/2013 12:02

here you all are!

BRAG: we have orange poo!! block feeding worked! well it turns out I never stopped block feeding after week 2 so need to find a way back as we're on 3 hour blocks now. shit night but maybe tonight will be better as the poo was still green from the night.

my god Dh and I are obsessed with poo. its our golden ticket to more sleep.

btw, more and more I feel lots of stuff is gestational linked. esp development

Clarella · 30/01/2013 12:03

thanks for your support re oversupply advice on the last thread ladies :) I'm very sensitive apparently. also on too much thyroxine too hence ability to be wide awake in the morning after no sleep! bollocks - that will go soon!

Clarella · 30/01/2013 12:22

ok attempting a catch up - evil get that thyroid tested chick! (sorry if already done so!)

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/01/2013 12:25

madam your post made me smile. An having a very shit today so that's an achievement. Am currently drowning my sorrows by drinking decafe latte. Wish it was wine! Anyway biking majorly wrong, just having a bit of a woe is me day. Both kids are being good though so thank heavens for small mercies. Enjoy your child free day madam. Of course I'm not jealous at all Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/01/2013 12:27

Gosh the typos on that post were shocking! Meant to say having a shit day, but nothing really wrong. Gees I can't even type right today!

KatieLily12 · 30/01/2013 12:31

Yay for orange poo clarella

garden I had a high risk pregnancy right the way through but got really run down with a house move and urgent repairs to new house. I got a UTI and it set off contractions. I went in to MAU to be assessed as felt 'weird' and they asked if I wanted gas and air!! So bed rest for 3-4 weeks then about a week of being able to function then I had a nice massage.... Bam! Waters broke!

gardenpixies32 · 30/01/2013 12:35

You must have got a big fright, 33 weeks is quite early. Glad little one made it to very near 40 weeks.

madam your post was hilarious Grin Enjoy your gift!

gardenpixies32 · 30/01/2013 12:36

Your DP is most welcome to come and pick up my two on his way to PIL.

ChunkyChicken · 30/01/2013 12:43

Thanks glenda we're hoping to get to Sandy Balls in the New Forest for a short week break at the beg of March so he'll need something warm...

Am exhausted for no real reason & DD in a whiney mood, yeh!! Hmm

Am v v v Envy madam esp after my afternoon of freedom was such a failure... Enjoy!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/01/2013 12:49

Madam Envy enjoy yourself.

I was just thinking yesterday, OMG, this is it, I will never again have a day off. Every single day from now on for the rest of my life I will think about, worry about, care about my children. That's a long time.

And on a more practical level we will never get a real day off until both children are at school. Relatives live too far away and I don't trust half of them to babysit anyway, and to be honest I don't really want to go out for the day without DH. So I really really have to find a babysitter so taht at least we can have the odd evening out.

gardenpixies32 · 30/01/2013 12:52

We have that problem too PR. It is rubbish having no one around to give you a hand. Ah well.

PurplePidjin · 30/01/2013 13:17

Chat: Ooh, chicken that's near me! Let me know if you fancy a coffee :)

Vent: I'm having a woe is me day too, well I'm like it most days tbh Blush I'm just so sick and tired of having to cope and be responsible for everyone and everything. Even getting myself a drink and some food is a balancing act between letting R cry and therefore raising dp's blood pressure, or asking dp to get it and therefore raising his bp, or just going without. They went for a walk to get tonight's dinner earlier (i actually managed to get clean Shock) and i asked dp to get me some chocolate bars so I've got something to grab for an instant energy hit when i don't have time to make real food. He got me chocolate sweet things and i just want to cry because i meant some kind of biscuit bar to grab on a hurry - i don't fecking well eat sweets! Angry

Brag: nowt

StuntNun · 30/01/2013 13:21

Dear Baby, please stop throwing up on my boob. Thanks, Mummy.

Hope poor M's okay MM. I take it an umbilical hernia won't get better without treatment then?

Watchmen is a brilliant film, Chunky. Alan Moore is one of my favourite authors although the film versions of some of his other books aren't as good as Watchmen, e.g. From Hell, V for Vendetta, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. As with many films though, the book is better!

Those with the star wrap, J is in 3-6 month clothes so would he be better with the 6M+ size of star wrap?

DH left for Sweden this morning, then he has meetings in Trier (is that near you PR?) and London next week. At last I get the bed to myself. Grin

Brag: little miss just did some beautiful tummy time while I did some massage song I picked up yesterday (then just made shit up as she seemed to be enjoying it)

Chat: garden it was terrifying because I wasn't allowed any assistance due to blood clotting. No injections, no c section, no forceps etc. so being early was a chuffing disaster. Thank god I managed to cross my legs! I assume that you were early with the twins? (Forgive me, I'm new so I'm not sure of everyone's stories)

Vent: boo for bad days for everyone! Sun is out on the one day I decide I can't be arsed to wrestle miss into her suit/ sling. Oh well

PetiteRaleuse · 30/01/2013 13:28

Yes Stunt Trier is about an hour and a bit away. Lovely city with great ice cream bars. Awful weather though at the moment.

ChunkyChicken · 30/01/2013 13:28

Ah bless you pidj that's so hard for you. I can only imagine how much pressure you're under. Could you get a food delivery and order loads of cereal bars, rice cakes, dried fruit & ready-made sandwich fillings? That way you'd have something to eat on the fly...

Have you chased up the help you need? What about seeing your GP? Is there a charity that could offer support/advice?

gardenpixies32 · 30/01/2013 13:31

Katie I had a section planned for 38 weeks (both transverse) but my gigantic babies and bump didn't let me get that far. Twin 1 lost her fluid very slowly and at 34 week scan she had none so they did a section the next day at 34+5. Luckily babies were big for 34 weekers...5lb7 & 6lb1 and only spent 3 days in NICU & 5 days in SCBU. Had a good, healthy pregnancy though.

They are both asleep now. Bliss.

KatieLily12 · 30/01/2013 13:35

garden mine is dozing off while I attempt nap no 2 today. She managed 40 mins after a rage filled hour, nurse & falling asleep on me!

You and the girls are absolute stars! Well done!
