I've never used or heard of saline spray/drops until this thread - will investigate when D gets a cold at the moment we just go bogie fishing with a twisted tissue so satisfying though she hates it

Cor I've not stopped today been here there n everywhere and now finally say down - Dottie was a diamond except for me havin to feed her at dd1's horse riding lesson!!

Got Dottie weighed - there were loads of babies there so she sat cooing at everyone - felt a bit shy as we had 4 hv's/office staff come over and coo over her blonde hair lol she's a lovely squidgy 10lb 8 oz so staying on her percentile which is fab!!

Can't be arsed to make yea and as I've not got owt out of the freezer it's either nachos or take away Shock

Not on hormone contraception glenda i do think its lack of sleep and too many cans of coke

pidj what VQ said - take the job and use childcare. It seems like a great opportunity and you might appreciate the "grown up" time

YellowWellies · 31/01/2013 17:38

Hello all just caught up. Had a house viewing this am and went shopping yesterday - both were fab. Was wonderful to pootle round Edinburgh - the boy slept peacefully for far too long in his buggy which of course meant he decided to start today at 5am. Hoping for a goldilocks 'just right' day today as yesterday he slept too much during the day and the day before, too little. Possibly clutching at straws but our 7-8 hour stretches seem to have shrunk and we too are back to 4 hourly night feeds. It feels a bit growth spurty. Pass I thought that about what you wrote too - Jonas' reflux is always worse during a growth spurt.

Seriously for the meet up I'm likely to struggle most places or rather have learned not to trust 'dairy free' assurances so will bring a pack up. So please pick it on niceness of venue / convenient location. I'm cool wherever. MM if you're talking about Craigies' that would be a lovely central venue Smile

Flipping heck you lot can chat!

horsey caboo is great for nb. Wouldn't recommend it past 3 months as it hurts my back these days.

chick oooo that sounds nice. Perhaps I can do the group first then trundle to the sling library and return throw sling at them.

pass we're doing baby sensory tomorrow too. Really excited because I'm a sad cow

YW reflux worse during growth spurt? Oh everything is clicking into place.

Went out today and had a smashing lunch in Browns with a lovely friend if mine. Asked her to hold LO so I could eat ENORMOUS sandwich (had already polished off chips while feeding!) and look up to realise..... LO has really grown. Seeing her in someone else's arms really brought it home.

Builder late and now working in bathroom. Need to bath LO in about 15 or so..... Hmmmm

Pikz · 31/01/2013 17:55

I'm in for a crap night aren't l. L has slept for 4 hours this Arvo. He has just had a ton of milk and is all the happies. But it does mean I won't get sleep tonight doesn't it.

Passmethecrisps · 31/01/2013 18:00

P is trying to eat her bear. Should I prevent this?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 31/01/2013 18:03

Thanks pr mostly I am liking the sound of lentil leek and sausage stew. Have a bit of a lentil fetish.

Passmethecrisps · 31/01/2013 18:04

I meant to say katie, I bet cluster feeding feels good after your period of nursing strike. I remember being in hospital with p and almost crying with delight the first time she chewed at her fingers in hunger after days of food refusal.

I think that is part of what is going on YW. She is a bit all over the place. She is sitting in her bouncer next to me hiccuping and swallowing down acid. I can hear it and see her wee face screw up. Sometimes she makes a wee sad mew sound. P always hiccups when she is very tired.

YellowWellies · 31/01/2013 18:20

Aww pass that mental image is sad - poor wee dote. I fecking hate reflux!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 31/01/2013 18:27

Little pig has been awake all afternoon Confused. Sophia we're having spicy lentil and butternut squash soup on Sunday if I get round to making it
Yay for hungry babies, for reflux/poorly/velcro babies

MissMummy1 · 31/01/2013 18:30

Yeah it was craigies I was thinking YW. We go all the time, I love it! And it saves anyone having to get round the bypass - always a bit hit or miss...

PurplePidjin · 31/01/2013 18:42

I have dp and my mum for child care I've worked in nurseries, fuck off am i putting him in one just need to get dp's confidence up. He's well capable but frustrated at his limitations, and R crying sets off his headache.

Pikz, R sleeps better when he's napped properly

Pasta with soft goats cheese and peas Sophia ?

ChunkyChicken · 31/01/2013 18:42

Might catch up later, can't now.

DH has just packed bag & left. DM DF & DMIL all in way.

I might be the only woman in history to get divorced over fucking hockey...

:(

ChunkyChicken · 31/01/2013 18:44

On way, not in way. That would be a v diff situation!!

horseylady · 31/01/2013 18:48

BigPigLittlePig · 31/01/2013 18:58

Brew and Biscuit chicken

KatieLily12 · 31/01/2013 19:15

pass it feels fookin amazing. I was really losing it last week. Not being able to nourish your LO is heart ache isn't it?
Your description of reflux behaviour is spot on. I hate it most when she does that on the breast- wet burps then squeals sadly. Breaks my heart everytime.

chicken ????????? Sending you massive hugs. That's outrageous

Pikz · 31/01/2013 19:18

Chunky wtf!!!!!! When I read your post earlier I though oh I hope he comes home from work with a good solution and you could feel better.

Big hugs xxxxx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 31/01/2013 19:26

chunky maybe some space time will make him realise he is being a "twunt" to coin an MN phrase. Thanks is hockey that important?

Passmethecrisps · 31/01/2013 19:26

Second the WTF chunky. I can't get over it. I am really pleased you have some RL support.

ValiumQueen · 31/01/2013 19:30

sophia lingering coughs - affirmative. Cough medicine is shite I agree. I think it is discouraged anyway as coughing is how they get rid of crap so is therefore not to be suppressed.

Catching up slowly, so posting as I go.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 19:32

Chunky Are you ok? Good you have your family rallying round. Sounds like the enormity of what having children means has hit home and he is panicking. Men can be so pathetic. Have some Wine and give him time to realise what a twat he's being. Then you can decide if you want him back.

blonderthanred · 31/01/2013 19:32

Can't believe that Chunky. Hope he comes to his senses. Ridiculous behaviour. So sorry you are having to deal with this.

kirrinIsland · 31/01/2013 19:35

chunky that's unbelievable :( Wonder how long it will take him to realise what he's giving up.
