HaggisMunchers Craigies have a menu for dogs. I am so glad I am seeing this before any trip there, because my comments would no doubt cause offence.

Pass I believe bears are dairy and soy free. That truly is BLW.

PP your comment about nurseries concerns me somewhat. Would you care to elaborate?

Oh bugger Chunky big hugs, and an ear if you need it x

ValiumQueen · 31/01/2013 19:48

This is your second child though, isn't it chunky ? Surely he knows about the strains of parenthood by now. We sure have shit taste in men on this thread, most of us anyway it seems. Hope he grows a pair soon.

ValiumQueen · 31/01/2013 19:52

They have a unisex doggy toilet too. FFS!

Pikz · 31/01/2013 20:03

My mum is disturbed I think by the fact I put L down and he self settles. Yesterday it took him 30mins but with no crying so I leave him too it. Am I wrong?

FatimaLovesBread · 31/01/2013 20:11

Hope you're ok chunky

Funnily enough petite at my appointment yesterday she was saying in France you get 6 physio appointments as standard.

Dicks What part of Leeds??

Also worried by Pidjs nursery comment

M is a grotbag today and I'm having a fed up day. She's 10 weeks tomorrow and there still doesn't seem to any pattern to her feeding, feel like she's permanently attached some days. And when she's not feeding she seems to have some reason to winge and cry. I think I'm just worn out today, I'll be fine again tomorrow.

We've got to be at the doctors for 9:10am tomorrow, not sure how we'll manage it. She's not normally up at that time. In going to have to get up with DH at 6:30 to stand any chance of getting out of the house on time Smile

We're going to test drive a car tomorrow, not sure whether to buy or not though. Need more time to research and decide but rarely get on the laptop these days

gardenpixie32 · 31/01/2013 20:24

I hope you're ok Chunky :(

ValiumQueen · 31/01/2013 20:25

pikz you are not wrong.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 20:27

Pkz you're not wrong. Fatima I have yet to do my physio..

KatieLily12 · 31/01/2013 20:32

Pikz* that's brilliant. Nothing to be concerned about.

BigPigLittlePig · 31/01/2013 20:36

Pikz I'm with Katie - nothing wrong with a self settling baby Envy

Evilwater · 31/01/2013 20:37

More colic. When is this going to end? By poor boy. I just can't get the wind up, I've tried everything I know of. Should I change his formula? My mum surgested introducing solid food.

Should I go to the GP again? My health vistor didn't make a great impression on me.

He's asleep now, but he didn't take alot of his bottle. What an I to do?

GTbaby · 31/01/2013 20:40

4hour nap doesn't mean no sleep tonight. LO often does this and sleeps thro. Maybe put down to sleep a little later tonight.

Wtf chunky. Big hugs. N I was thinking the same thing VQ! Wtf is wrong with some of the November 12 dads.

I have fish fingers drying out in oven Hmm LO won't settle. This is the most he has cried since colic at 4-5 weeks. Cold is really getting to him my poor little boy. N where is FH I hear u ask. At pub. I'm going to coin that. FH... Work it out (evil laugh emoticon).

For when u need something that doesn't quite fit DH or XH lol.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 20:41

Let him sleep Evil , and try and sleep too maybe. I think it's a bit soon for solid food yet. How old is he exactly?

GTbaby · 31/01/2013 20:42

1st comment was to pik and well done on the self settling!

Evilwater · 31/01/2013 20:42

PR-he will be 4 months not on the 5th.

Pikz · 31/01/2013 20:46

DP is being a stupid boy. Gah. Have taken self to bed with a book so I don't say anything silly. I'm off up to Manchester on own with LO overnight tomorrow so he had most of weekend off and so he sits down over an hour ago and starts some shit scifi movie. I come down from settling LO and doing house work and he just turns volume up. Seems I'm not allowed to sit in own lounge and relax and why we can't watch something we both like especially As he has two days to watch this shite. Grrrr

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 20:46

Wondering about gatecrashing the other postnatal threads and doing a has your DH or DP been a twunt since you gave birth opinion poll. Can't be just our group.

Pikz · 31/01/2013 20:47

PR I think that's a good idea. Starting to feel like its us!

GTbaby · 31/01/2013 20:48

Evil I wouldn't wake. He will wake when he needs his milk.

Re early weaning pls read the mumsnet advice which refers to who guidelines. I found it very useful n recommend everyone to read, I found it informative as I don't/didn't understand anything behind the weaning debate.

There is also advice to those who choose to wean early.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 20:51

Well in the UK the guidelines are no solids until 6 months. Your mum is probably thinking of baby rice and rusks which used to be the first thing given to babies in the belief they needed more food and would sleep better. I don't think this is reommended anywhere now.

Here we wean at four months but stuff with very few calories - pureed pear, apple, carrot, courgette - really bland stuff. And that's it until six months. It's for tasebuds, vitamins and just working on the whole eating thing as far as I can tell. It certainly won't help with sleeping.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 31/01/2013 20:53

I live in Rothwell fatima. Are you from Leeds?

Hope you're ok chunky, what an arsehole.

I haven't got time to keep up at the moment, B will not settle at all in the evening, I'm up and down constantly putting her dummy back in Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 31/01/2013 20:54

Evil when LO had her spaz-attack night, we managed to stop the screaming (temporarily) by blowing on her face. I think they sometimes work themselves up so much they forget why they're crying. The only problem with colic is they start crying again before too long Sad

I have a proper boob gremlin tonight. She's finally nodded off for now having been awake since 2 with only a 20 minute nap. Hopefully this means she'll sleep well tonight??

PR do it, do it!

Evilwater · 31/01/2013 20:55

Thanks PR, I care about the sleeping so much. I just want him to stop screaming in pain after he is fed.

I'm also going to read back on the post.
Evil

GTbaby · 31/01/2013 20:55

(Confused emoticon) I just put LO in crib so he is safe while I go to loo. N he has calmed down Shock is this a shocked face. Right Ewan is on. Lights down. Will sleep follow?!?! Find out in the nxt post.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/01/2013 21:20

I honestly don't think early weaning will help you with that Evil. It won't help with sleeping and won't help with digestive problems; if anything it will make it worse because you'd be making his digestive system work harder. My paed advised today for me to try as I said at four months, but to stop and leave it for a couple of weeks if she shows any sign of finding it difficult.
