My Moses basket transfers keep failing tonight as well - sometimes i think she's teasing me!

I was looking at the implant too, but I really can't decide. It's the possibility of additional bleeding that bothers me. Having had 2 periods since being pregnant with DD1 (may 2010) I would much rather have something that caused no periods at all! Wouldn't remember to take the pill though. I'm going to make an appointment to discuss options and take it from there.

sweetpea agree that you should speak to someone about PND sooner rather than later. Hope you are ok.

priscilla101 · 19/12/2012 04:20

Lane, that sucks about the promotion. Not what you need.
You did make me laugh though, my nickname comes from priscilla queen of the desert.....

priscilla101 · 19/12/2012 04:20

Not priscilla queen of the dessert!

priscilla101 · 19/12/2012 04:21

See what sleep does? Am finding myself funny!

kirrinIsland · 19/12/2012 04:23

Cross posts with Dixie and lane - hope you are both ok. There is nothing worse than toothache, have you got some pain killers? And Angry about the promotion - that is almost blatant discrimination, or it certainly seems that way. Hope you manage to get acme sleep soon Dixie

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 04:27

Have been undoing for an hour to no avail. Xmas Sad

Am shit at winding.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 04:28

No no no no...winding!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 04:29

lane I too felt the Angry at your promotion. Xx

sweetpea1112 · 19/12/2012 05:01

Definitely the night for moses basket transfer fails. Has someone sent all the November babies a memo saying that moses baskets are things of evil and all babies must sleep on mummies.....

glendathegoodwitch · 19/12/2012 05:58

Lol @ all the iPhone typos!!!

That sucks lane

Those not making it to the Moses basket have you tried swaddling?? I've just found out my baby monitor has womb noises on it!!! Was using the sleep pillow app with the rain sounds - they definitely make her more chilled!!

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 19/12/2012 06:31

Just when I thought it couldn't get any more difficult - I have a v sore boob. Think its a blocked duct (hopefully not infected yet) so have started applying heat, feeding that 1 first, massage etc but another treatment is "rest". How the f* can I do that with a toddler & Christmas activities etc?!!! Might have to cancel Christmas some of them...

sweetpea def agree to talking to someone first. Also, don't feel 'loved up' with DS but think I did with DD. I don't like DD very much at the mo though, so trying not to get too hung up on 'feelings'...

detective not sure scabies is that contagious, as I had it but my parents & sister didn't get it, so a hug shouldn't have exposed DS. But agree your ex is being a prick either way.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 07:23

sweetpea it could just be that the initial loved upness was heightened by all the love hormones that re there to awake us love our child and that now you re levelling off to normal.

Eating out is a grand idea if you have a tendency to low days. A long walk in the countryside is restorative whatever the weather.

Do you have. Children's centre near you. Good SureStart centres can be ace. I am starting Pilates at ours after Christmas, they do soft play for siblings and loads of other activities. Also they have a family room with cosy sofas and mats on the floor and tea and coffee making activities. When I went in there to fill out a form a lady had just taken her baby, was making a cup of tea and just having a change of scene from home and a good way to meet people.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 07:26

Sorry not eating out...getting out....although eying out is good too.

Also, advice from sophia try and make small moments to have a Cuddle with OH a bit of a snog and tell him you love him. Is important to nurture your relationship, but more importantly a bit of adult love might help how you feel in yourself.

Xx

Another one with Moses basket fail

It's been our worst night yet, found myself getting v upset and frustrated. It doesn't help that I feel like I'm coming down with something, I suppose M could be too.
M eventually went down at 12:30 after feeding on and off all evening. She woke at 3:30am and hasn't been down since DH ended up having her on his chest at 5:45 for half an hour so I could get 3mins rest. Feel like a milking device Smile
Her hands are infuriating as well, she'll cry for boob but then get her hands in the way and nearly pull my nipple off.

We can't even have a lie in as I had to take DH to work, I've a hair appt at 9 so need the car. Think we'll be spending the day in bed after that.

Sympathies with everyone else who've had bad nights

What's a Moses basket? Oh that thing next to my bed? L has been in it for about 10 mins in total the past month. She sleeps next to me... Should really get a cosleeper cot...
Had her weighed yesterday and she's now 9lb7oz, she was 7lb8oz at birth. HV was very happy with her weight gain.
Anyone tips for getting gripe water into her? She just spits it out. infacol she takes without a problem.

horseylady · 19/12/2012 08:03

blue how do you give it?

I decided ds didn't like his Moses basket. He's happily sleep in his pram, so we use that now. Much better.

He woke at 4 this morning, then at 715.

I've got a stupid day today. Need to get to the horses, go to the otherwise of the neighbouring town to see my nan then back across to the hv appointment then to my cousins.

I wasn't going to my nans but am now.

Right best start moving!!

priscilla101 · 19/12/2012 08:21

Who said about stinky farts? I can relate to that, this LOs are evil. Amazing isn't it?

horseylady · 19/12/2012 08:22

blue sorry I meant to add try a syringe. On the three occassions I've given it to ds I found adding it to cooled boiled water worked and a syringe was ok

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/12/2012 08:31

right DS at nursery, DD's at their dads, DS2 on play mat watching the news now for stupid question time.........

We had a really windy night last last night.... I mean right back to the 3 week colic nights. I had upped his teats yesterday to number 2. I have a suspicion it might be that and he is not ready for them yet. Maybe I should switch him back? Or is it a coincidence.

Has anyone any wisdom on this?

Bluetinkerbell · 19/12/2012 08:36

I'm using a syringe :( she just dribbles it out straight away...

glendathegoodwitch · 19/12/2012 08:39

priscilla thank god it's not just Dottie - we must check her nappy every 20 minutes cos of the stink - she's given the dog a break from being blamed lol

I think I'm going to get some infacol to try tonight - last night we gave D her bottle earlier to try and get her awake period before 2am lol but she was still awake and unsettled, she gets cross, kicking and grabbing my hair but settles on the boob - is this trapped wind?? The rest of the day she brings wind up easily and when hungry just munches her fists and is not angry???

Wow all these babies are piling on the weight which is great - id love to know how much dots has put on but refuse to go to the clinic too cold, too much hassle & feel like we're being checked up on lol will get dh on scales later and then with D and get a rough idea!!!

I've woke up with a horrible pain in my chest - in the middle of my breastbone :(

horseylady · 19/12/2012 08:47

Try half an oz of cooled boiled water. Helped ds take it.

Sophia how old is he? Size 2 teats shouldn't cause wind. The can cause them to dribble more!!
