Definitely sounds like reflux pass we took LO to the doctors for the same thing yesterday, although she doesn't have quite the same symptoms. They gave us some infant gaviscon which has helped a bit. Definitely recommend keeping her upright as much as possible too.

Our GP was really good and we got a same day appt. hope you can get some advice and help soon too as it's so upsetting to see them in pain Hmm

pikz · 12/12/2012 22:02

Just knocked a whole can of come on carpet after baby projectile vomited on me and him and had been awake since 5pm.

I now can't stop crying. Bloody hell 3 week old babies are hard.

pikz · 12/12/2012 22:02

Coke that should say!

StuntNun · 12/12/2012 22:15

Do you express while feeding MM? I get the best results if I do both at the same time.

I have two slow weight gainers Blonder so will check out your thread but I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice from others on there.

I've just used an always ultra night time pad for the first time in years. Since when has that felt like cotton? Maybe attached denim! And why do they smell of perfume?

misslaughalot · 12/12/2012 22:24

OMG pikz that gave me the giggle I needed right now!

Babylaughalot had 3 brilliant nights in a row, lulling us into a false sense of security, and has been VERY hard to settle for the last 2 nights. She's 2 weeks old today but was 9 days overdue so could she be having her 3 week growth spurt as all she wants to fo is feed? I got the baby log app (thanks to whoever recommended that) which is great but its quite depressing to see the total amount if time she's been latched onto me today...

I second sweetpea's sentiments about feeling less alone because of this thread, it's comforting to read about others going through what we're going through (especially at 4am when you think you're the only person in the country awake with a crying baby)!

ComradeJing · 12/12/2012 22:29

I hate the sodding perfumed pads. I've been on the verge of all out thrush since I gave birth and I know it's down to what they put in the pads now.

Who needs a perfumed foof at the best of times let alone when at that time of the month? Hmm

Fucking over DH and moving house. Am dealing with new born, toddler and unpacking a million and one boxes and not so D H is giving me grief because the house is still messy and covered in boxes. Am quite seriously thinking about telling him to go to his parents on his own for Christmas so that I can just keep going on here without any pressure to have it spotless in a day. He's convinced that if he doesn't ride me hard over getting the house finished then it won't ever get done. He's not usually a nob so I don't know where this is coming from. Xmas Angry Xmas Sad

sweetpea1112 · 12/12/2012 22:30

misslaughalot our babies must have the same birthday. I have been wondering whether Oscar is having a growth spurt as he is feeding little and often at the moment. He was born at 39+4 though so not overdue. I have read in a couple of places about two week growth spurts. I am ff though so don't know if growth spurts will show themselves differently than in bf babies.

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 12/12/2012 22:55

comrade Xmas Angry on your behalf.

pikz thanks for answering the q earlier & making me giggle now Xmas Grin

pikz I am laughing like a mad woman at you faux pas!! DH thins I ave I ally lost it.

sweetpea I too had the struggle with settling in the basket but over the last week and with perseverance it is getting much better. I have stuck with putting him it at sleep times and as e grows and becomes a liitle morecsettledvevery day it gets a tiny bit easier.

I am not the only one on this thread who has had the problem, remember they have been close to you or 9 months and we have to help them get used to life on th outside.Xmas Smile

sweetpea1112 · 12/12/2012 23:47

Thanks Sophia Smile I am torn between wanting to let him sleep on me as he obviously loves the comfort & establishing a good sleep routine. i am starting to think though that him feeling loved & secure is the key to him feeling confident enough to sleep alone. sleeping on Mummy tonight it is then Smile

Bryzoan · 13/12/2012 00:48

It would be so nice if babies came with a button to bring up all their wind, immediately and without milk.

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/12/2012 01:00

I'm just in from the pead ward at the hospital with J, he's got bronchiolitus, they've discharged us for now but they've said the next day will be when he either gets a lot worse or start to improve :( poor little guy.

Bryzoan · 13/12/2012 01:08

So so sorry to hear that tits. Fingers crossed for the little chap.

pikz · 13/12/2012 02:58

I'm sorry tits hope he's well soon.

DP is still laughing at my mistake.

In terms of Moses basket it took us 2 weeks but he's cracked it now.

kirrinIsland · 13/12/2012 03:22

Sorry to hear that tits - they're a worry aren't they?

Glad your dog is ok nervous

comrade That is not on Xmas Angry Time for a strong word or two, maybe?

Not much sleep going on in this house tonight. She's been pretty good for the last few though - I think she just likes to keep me on my toes!!

misslaughalot · 13/12/2012 03:38

Mars bars are helping me stay awake through the night feeds tonight...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/12/2012 03:49

That's rubbish tits I hope he makes a speedy recovery. Xx

NervousAt20 · 13/12/2012 03:49

Aw tits sorry to hear that fingers crossed he improves over night and gets better soon

The dogs lying on the end of our bed tonight poor boy, I feel like a very bad mummy. He's almost 13 years old and I've had him since 6 weeks, I would die if anything happened to him he's my baby too m

Attempting transfer after 2 napoy changes, stripped bedding because of a fountain of wee. Hope everyone's having a good night with lots of sleep

GTbaby · 13/12/2012 04:15

Right to catch up today's chat

pass only just read I can transfer data! Who I just did, n it over wrote everything I logged today. It is a very good app tho.

VQ don't worry I would never take diazepam while looking after LO. It was a flippant comment made as I was annoyed. I have tried kalms before n they were not any good. (Diazepam was prescribed for previous sleep issues but I was very reluctant to take them because they don't solve the issue n that is y I have some left).

garden the real tears broke my heart! He sticks out his lower lip when he is upset. It's so cute! Blush I wanted to take a pic.

Donna have noticed that LO needed alot more cuddles today after jabs. Spesh when putting him to sleep tonight.

Fatima always night pads ain't too bad r they! Spesh after using maternity pads, they seem even softer n thinner.

miss and sweet no idea how I'd cope without this thread! Well might get more done as I'm not constantly trying to keep up haha.

Just realised I've been catching up on the thread for 1.5 hours so far!

I am exhausted. Went to west fields. Anyone up for a west field meet up? I have no friends. Sucks.

Anyway shopping was hard work. Got upset because nothing fit/ looked nice. Sick of wearing same clothes n wanted a Xmas day outfit. Sis took LO to see Santa n I was left to shop alone. I felt lost bei g alone for an hour! Missed LO lol.
Came home DH went out to pub which upset me. N I got annoyed with him n argued about how selfish he is.

Right I'm off to bed. Night night

Lucky a copied my earlier post. As I can't find it? Posted it at 1ish.

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 13/12/2012 04:37

Poor little fella Tits :(

glendathegoodwitch · 13/12/2012 05:44

Morning ladies

Dots is awake like clockwork - shuffling and cooing in her crib sooo cute!!!

She was a lil diamond yesterday and spent a long time awake smiling and cooing at me and the dog - made a gorgeous change to 3 modes she's been stuck in for past few weeks : feeding, sleeping & yelling!!!

nervous glad pooch is safe and sound, what breed is it? We have a choccy lab and she is a part of the family and the one we had to worry most about jealousy!!

GT I live in Essex so I'd be up for a meet?

tits poor lil one - hope things improve tonight xx

Got a blinding headache that nothing is shifting - I blame dh for stressing me out - we chatted but we've had the same chat for years so I'm skeptical things will improve which is sad as its the only flaw in our marriage :( he's got the day off today so I might get some help!!

I sooooo would love a cup of tea right now - do they still make teasmaids?? Remember my ban having one and thinking they were genius!!!

kirrinIsland · 13/12/2012 06:09

teasmaid glenda

Dixiebell · 13/12/2012 06:11

I was just wondering about teasmaids yesterday, glenda! What I wouldn't give sometimes at 3am for a cuppa and a choccie biccie ! DH offered to make me one the other day but I thought it a bit much making him traipse downstairs in the cold Grin

I meant to post about quick meals - stir fry is always good. I get bags of stir fry veg from Sainsbury's, fresh noodles, a packet of sweet chilli & ginger sauce, and a piece of salmon fillet to pan fry. Veg & noodles in the wok, stick sauce in with salmon when it's almost done, takes 10 mins max. I also like the loyd Grossman pasta sauces someone else mentioned - some mushroom and bacon in with one of those goes down well.

Teddy been feeding since 4.30 and looking v alert! Why now?! Could do with more sleep before ds1 wakes!
