Yawn.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/12/2012 20:39

Who are we waiting on?

Bluetinkerbell · 05/12/2012 20:42

Marking spot!

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2012 20:43

I have not looked at the other thread for ages as I could not keep up with both.

We need to update the stats but I have not got a link.

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2012 20:50

Detectives thread is still going. There are still a few to graduate, incl MrsWee. The stats list has not been updated since 18/11 and there are loads of names on there. Everyone is overdue now.

Hello, can I join please? DS was born on Monday Dec 3rd so there aren't many December mums around and I'm getting desperate for advice!

We're in Australia so DS is now 4 days old and has spent the entire time latched on! My nipples are both so painful. He didn't really sleep at all for the first few days and nights but was sleepier yesterday. He slept once in his moses basket but other than that it has been in arms or in our bed with boob in mouth! He'll do around 2 stretches of 2 hours at night and that's it!! Is this normal?? I've got 2 older DCs who aren't getting any mummy time at all now and they can't hold DS because he just cries so much. I felt like I was having a panic attack last night!

Congratulations to all the November mums! I hope you don't mind me tagging along?! Thanks

Marking place

SeymoreInOz · 05/12/2012 22:23

Oh Blush I've just spotted that there is a December thread here! I'm a bit sleep deprived! Ignore me, I'll post in there.

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2012 22:33

seymore you are welcome to stay. We have several mums yet to deliver. Maybe reading back will give some useful info. We are just finishing off the last thread. All sounds normal. This is number three for me and I empathise. Anyway, congratulations!

FreddieMercurysBolero · 05/12/2012 23:05

Hi everyone, welcome Seymour:)

Marking my place, havent posted on the last thread in a while as my Mum has been visiting and no time to MN! DS has just pooed in his sleep, gah!

Marking place Xmas Smile I hope I can keep up with this one easier then I could the last

Welcome seymore

MissMummy1 · 06/12/2012 06:55

Just clarella and mummytobe to go!

Seymour you pretty much just described us. My dd was born on Monday too but she's my first so I don't feel guilty I have no time to share with anyone else. Nipples are only sore for first few mins of feeding. This is normal right? Tilly sleeps in her pram or on one of us fine during the day. I might try her in her moses basket during the day to see if that helps her get used to it for night time....

NervousAt20 · 06/12/2012 08:23

MM sore nipples for a few minutes was normal for y to in the early days but thankfully it does go Xmas Smile

kirrinIsland · 06/12/2012 08:28

Welcome Seymour :)

horseylady · 06/12/2012 09:04

Hello. Yes 6 weeks this weekend. Acting like he did in the last one, clingy, hungry, fretful. Only this time with a cold!!

Catbag · 06/12/2012 09:13

Yup, sounds like a spurt to me! Mine turned 7 weeks a couple of days ago- I was looking at pics from when they were first born and can't believe how much they've changed already! Have you done the same?

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 09:22

Hard to tell horsey as he is still really quite unwell. No sleep until 5am as vomiting and coughing. Had two lovely big feeds and brought every drop back. Has had a little snack this morning. It is truly horrible. Neither of my girls were ill whilst breastfeeding, but they were summer babies. Perhaps it is baby man flu?

YellowWellies · 06/12/2012 09:25

Morning lovelies. The day is young, already been on the phone bollocking my GP - there better be a 'scrip for me by lunchtime for both fluconazole tabs and miconazole cream. The kraken is asleep so I'm going to pump and try the same - yawn xx

pikz · 06/12/2012 09:27

glenda try kellymom for lots of pumping advice. I sterilise pump bits every other session and run them under very hot water in between. Bottles every session.

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/12/2012 09:38

I just typed a long post but the last thread got full before I hit send ,

I've just packed away all my maternity clothes and sadly a bin bag full of tiny baby clothes that no longer fit my chunky boy!
We had a good night, he woke only. At 11,3 and then 7am. He's gone to stay with nanny for the day so I can tidy this dump that claims to be my home. Although I'm missing him like crazy already. Blush

We finally got to see a lovely dr yesterday, he confirmed thrush in J's mouth and gave us the drops (Cherry flavour, I was looking forward to almond!) he also diagnosed me as having 2 very swollen, infected breasts, the infection is deep into the ducts and tissue so I have medication for that. Hopefully we will star feeling. Bit better once it kicks in.

Right I has best get cracking so I can finally stop worrying about the tidiness of the house and go and get my boy back! Grin

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 09:42

glenda I sterilise daily, and just keep everything (sealed) in the fridge inbetween. I have two bottles on the go, one to pump into, then when it is cooled, I pour it into another bottle so I can pump into the bottle again. I have an avent pump and Tippee bottles which makes it a bit more complicated. I sterilised everything each time with my first. Breast milk does not have the same bugs as formula and some folk do not sterilise at all.

DonnaDoon · 06/12/2012 09:49
