stunt that sounds fine to wear Smile

DD2 has very high temp and vomiting. DH and DSIL out so me home on own with two sick kids, sick MIL and a 6yo who thinks it is disgusting. Things just keep getting better here.

horseylady · 09/12/2012 15:36

It's him not me!!! The only routine I tried for was bedtime and morning, the rest we go with the flow (including night wakenings!)

I wasn't planning on doing anything until after Xmas etc as there's little point. I was just worried about naps but sure it's fine as you say. He's had more naps today.

Mm sleeping lots normal. Ds started being more alert the last week or two. So from 4/5 weeks. As vq said enjoy it, it might change.

horseylady · 09/12/2012 15:41

Mm if it's the 4 of you plus Tilly you'll be fine!!

Ds has been in pubs/restaurants/shops/farms etc if she's anything like him the background sends him to sleep.

kirrinIsland · 09/12/2012 16:04

We've done it too MM it's fine. Best to do these things now while they are still so portable. Once you get into 7o'clock bedtimes it feels like you'll never go anywhere again - or not without planning ahead!

priscilla101 · 09/12/2012 16:07

Hmmm, cold affects my nipples too! LO is 4 weeks today and I think the lochia has finally stopped...be nice if it had, me and DH could DTD.....

TheDetective · 09/12/2012 16:12

I'd go for a meal too - wish we could afford a meal out... would be lovely! Do it!

I find they sleep much better when out - to the point where I have had to wake Oscar to feed before my boobs got out of my top and climbed in the pram and woke him themselves Grin.

Finally got limpet in the basket. I had to or my bowels might have exploded Hmm. I think I need to start on the lactulose! I don't eat loads of fibre, mainly because I don't like many foods with it in. I drink plenty though, so will have a few days of the lactulose. Even if it does make me wanna vom Hmm.

I should really nap now. Except I'm just that low level of exhaustion that seems all new mums exist on. Yet I know I'll regret it later. :(

TheDetective · 09/12/2012 16:13

VQ You just don't get a bloody break do you?! I swear FC better be bringing you the biggest and bestest gift of the bunch this year sleeping tablets. Grin

FreddieMercurysBolero · 09/12/2012 16:30

Ah well Stunt, then they sound more like smart trousers that jeans. They'd be fine so:) Wouldn't go near Belfast at the moment, it's ridiculous; isn't it?

Valium:( That must be your fill of illness in your family for the year. What the hell was MIL doing visiting yoyu when ill, how inconsiderate.

MissMummy1 · 09/12/2012 16:35

Tolerance gone after an hour. Hiding upstairs feeding M and losing the will to live. They are completely taking over. Someone adopt my MIL? I think I might suggest the 3 of them go out and M and me stay at home to watch xfactor. I look like shit (as MIL kindly pointed out) and need a breather from them already Blush DP and I now remember why we live in Scotland Hmm

MissMummy1 · 09/12/2012 16:43

FFS I can hear her giving dh the lecture that M should be on formula and I am 'selfish' for bf'ing Angry

kirrinIsland · 09/12/2012 16:49

:( MM selfish for breast feeding? How does that work?!
My in laws live abroad - I highly recommend this!

Passmethecrisps · 09/12/2012 16:49

We have been sleeping since MIL and SIL left. Meal out last night was lovely but I ended up drinking more than I should have. Waking at 4:30 for feeding with a stinking sore head wasn't fun - lesson learned.

I downloaded a couple of apps the other day which I have been making use of. One is a log of feeds, sleeps and nappy changes. I am starting to get into that as I was losing track of how long wee p had been sleeping for and what she was eating. I am looking forward to having a pod few days of data gathered so I can see if there is a pattern anywhere.

The other one is a white noise app. Turns out that P falls asleep to the sound of rain. I told my wee sister about it a she struggles to settle her LO at night time and it seemed effective for them too.

stunt that top is lovely. I have no excuse to buy anything but that really is nice. Maybe I'll get birthday money next week. . .

mm sympathies. I am finding other people exhausting.

I hope your sister is doing ok today cat

VQ germ bringers are arseholes. It's enough to make you want to be a hermit.

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 09/12/2012 16:53

Yeah so selfish mm to give her protection against illnesses & cancers. Seriously, selfish??!!! Wft? If you could explain that one to me....Confused

TheDetective · 09/12/2012 16:57

Can you tell me which apps they are Pass they sound very useful!!

MM KILL THE BASTARDS! Seriously, send them my way, I'm good with giving a gob full to idiot bastards! Grin

My mum is the only one to mention about breastfeeding, saying she thinks it is harder. It is harder at the minute, but I'm hoping it will get easier. Good things come to those who wait, yeah?! I feel proud that I am keeping a whole other person alive with these things! Speaking of which, they are now tingling haha! Just the thought of breastfeeding sets them off it seems Hmm.

No one else has mentioned anything at all. I don't think they would dare to be honest Grin. Except DP. But he learned verrrrrrrrrrrry quickly.

StuntNun · 09/12/2012 16:58

That sounds terrible VQ I hope they make speedy recoveries.

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 09/12/2012 17:00

Poor you VQ 2013 should be a better yr for you illness wise surely??!!!

Is that the "feed baby" app pass? Been using that for keeping track of the boob feeds...

FatimaLovesBread · 09/12/2012 17:06

Breastfeeding selfish?!! Is that because she can't give her a bottle?

Passmethecrisps · 09/12/2012 17:14

I am using Baby Log Lite and Sleep pillow. I think you can use the log to note which boob you used and for how long as well as formula feeding.

I used it fully for the first time yesterday and noted that P slept for 16 hours and drank 19 oz of formula. All quite normal apparently.

I downloaded a few white noise apps but sleep pillow happened to be the one which I tried first. There is another one called White Noise ambience lite.

Great big jobby for for P today! First one since Thursday. It was big and green and smelly. Good old formula poo! Hopefully that is her on her way to a sensible pootine.

TheDetective · 09/12/2012 17:17

YAY for poo Pass! Grin

Off to look for those apps! My brain is mush. I would like to keep track of what I am actually doing! I have no recollection!

glendathegoodwitch · 09/12/2012 17:18

Omg I am so grateful we have no family nearby to intrude, give us germs or bf'ing advice - just me dh and our 3 cherubs to worry about!!

I got several apps on my phone but by the time I remember to use them she's either halfway through a feed or I've forgotten 3 feeds lol the only pattern I see forming is Dottie sleeps through the day and has the majority of her awake time between 11pm and6 am lol

TheDetective · 09/12/2012 17:22

IT NEEDS THE BLOODY UPDATE!

RAAAAAAH! Stupid iPhone. Stupid bastarding piece of crap!

I don't do updates.

Will have to look for other apps :(

horseylady · 09/12/2012 17:31

Vq - hugs about the sickness. I have a massive sick phobia.

Passmethecrisps · 09/12/2012 17:36

I was the same glenda. I was getting worried she was eating too much/sleeping too much/generally doing stuff she shouldn't!

Also, it is great to have a proper note of when she went to sleep as it means I can generally relax having a good idea of when she is likely to wake up. I find it easier then to settle to something whether it be housework or a snooze. She has now been down for 3 hours and 20 minutes so I know to expect her awake really within the next 30 minutes max

Passmethecrisps · 09/12/2012 17:37

Speak of the devil!
