On the plus side, driving was comfortable enough - so feel happy there. Down side is walking is NOT comfortable still. I can't walk far without pain. Butt cheeks rubbing - which is where my epis comes down to.... really. It is on my actual arse. I wasn't making that up!

Might get a wheelchair for DP to push while I push the pram Grin.

I weighed myself yesterday too - and I am STILL THE SAME FECKING WEIGHT!!! Seriously... and it was on different scales! Oh whatever! I'm still a wibbly wobbly mess... don't have pregnancy weight to lose, but have plenty of other weight to lose, and a flabby tum to tone up. And yes, why is it my thighs seem waaaaaay huger than before?!

With breastfeeding - what are other people wearing? I am wearing maternity leggings for comfort, with vest tops, and long arse covering cardigans. Which was pretty much my standard pregnancy attire anyway. I will order a dress for christmas, but other than that, I don't see how I can wear regular clothes? I'd suffocate Oscar if I did Confused. I can't see me being able to feed him otherwise! By the way, the black leggings and top are hiding a multitude of sins - recommend it if you are feeling shit! With some nice accessories, you can still feel good!

Re: Ibuprofen, I am on the maximum dose - and have been for 14 days now. Definitely no constipation here! He is going through 12-14 nappies a day, mostly poo... although it is probably my fault as he can go through 2 or 3 nappies in a feed! Should leave him for longer before changing!! He probably has 6 dirty nappies a day, if I wasn't changing him so often!

Feck detective, that sounds like it was a right palaver. Cars being too small is a great inconvience. The five of us went camping in cornwall two years ago in a Peugeot 306. With the dog too. It was unbelievable. Never again. I put my foot down when I found out I was having twins and demanded an enormous car. DH was so chuffed with his own potent virility (!) that he said yes He's a bit of a scrooge, generally speaking Grin

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:14

I'm thinking I'm just going to have to put up with it til I am back in work! Can't really afford it before then! DP's car is slightly bigger, we can all fit in comfortably instead of DP's legs being folded behind his ears but the boot isn't much bigger than mine, so no go for a weeks shop plus pram!

Also, his car is older, and less reliable than mine - and has doors that refuse to open, and all kinds of other things that he just 'ignores' instead of getting fixed. Therefore I do not like being in his car!

Catbag · 07/12/2012 17:15

detective Without wishing you to actually post a photo, I'm having trouble working out how your epis comes down to your bum cheek? I've never had one.

Catbag · 07/12/2012 17:17

I hate being in my DH's car too, but that's 'cos he's not as good a driver as I Grin

kirrinIsland · 07/12/2012 17:21

I'm wearing leggings too, as well as my early pregnancy jeans, with long tops with cowl necks and a breast feeding vest top underneath.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:22

It comes from my fanjo, in a curve down towards my bum, in to my actual cheek. It is hard to describe. Basically, it is bigger than your standard cut... GRRRRR. On the plus side, since the use of the canestan, I am a lot more comfortable down there. Except when walking of course!

VQ Did say I wasn't allowed to post a picture... tut!

Blonder If you see this - I know we have the same pram... how are you finding yours? Am having a few issues getting the car seat on and off the frame. Am wondering if it gets easier in time as things loosen up?! I struggle as I can't reach to unclip both sides at same time, and lift... Confused. Also, I can't see the baby with the bumper bar on the carry cot bit. DP said it is just me - my height means it is in a crappy position! DP can see fine - he is a ft taller than me! Oh, and how long do you reckon your baby will be in the car seat for! I don't think it will last Oscar that long. I love how light it is, and how it looks. But am wondering if something else might have been easier - something with a car seat base...! Gawd, its hard getting the thing in and out and strapped in all the time!

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:23

Oh, that is the main reason I hate it Cat and he knows it! I taught him to drive last year Grin. But he just isn't as observant as me! Drives me mental!

That is why I insisted on going in mine yesterday. Even if it was totally impractical for the 4 of us. Grin

Catbag · 07/12/2012 17:25

Sounds incredibly painful :o All respect to you for even trying to be walking about!

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:30

I hadn't tried since last Saturday. I don't feel like trying again for quite some time!

My worst days seem to be the ones when I leave the house.

Am all for hibernating now! However I do really really really need to do 2 things in the next 2 weeks though. 1) Go to Trafford Centre to finish off christmas shopping - have nothing for DP, and like to browse in shops for him. and 2) Go to the Manchester Christmas Markets - just for the amazing food. 1 may be possible, 2 unlikely because we won't be able to park close. At least in Trafford Centre it is easier to get to, and around.

Sigh. I was sooooooooooo looking forward to the markets - highlight of the year for me!

YellowWellies · 07/12/2012 17:39

Oh Detective if it's any compensation I'm missing the Christmas markets too. They just don't happen here on the island. I would love to take Jonas around Edinburgh Christmas market and will do next year. We're off to get our tree tomorrow which is very early for us but we want to see his face as he squints at it drunkenly totally fails to notice it

Hope you feel better soon. Your epis sounds awful.

As for clothes I'm usually in jeans, vest and cardi. I got some fab jumpers for my birthday and a gorgeous dress from Joules - all of which are entirely unsuitable for BFing. D'oh... I wouldn't mind but I asked for them! Damn baby brain.

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:41

detective a diagram on FB would be acceptable.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:43

Glad I am not the only one then YW Grin

Oscar noticed the tree - with its twinkly lights, and cooed at it! It was just a big green bushy monster when he fell asleep... and a shiny green bushy monster when he woke Grin.

I really need a poo. But DP has mopped the hall floor. BUGGER!! Time to work on pelvic floor... Grin. Or get a nappy on hahaha.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:44

Oh. My. God.

My art skills leave a LOT to be desired!!!!!!! Hmm

DS is good at art....?! Grin

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 07/12/2012 17:45

I've lost track of the thread yet again so just marking my place in the hopes can keep up!

Hello to everyone. Baby James is just over 5 weeks. We are still managing to BF, he sometimes gets one bottle of formula do DH can give me a rest. We have survived almost getting mastitis and also survived a bad episode of thrush and are still feeding. Sometimes still hurts but I think that's when he has a poor latch and I don't correct it. Hope everyone else is well :)

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:46

I am wearing matching black and red underwear with cut-outs, and six inch heels Grin

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:48

Second picture the epis is the one that goes towards the left, well, imagine it is twice as long as that - down in to the butt cheek! That is mine!

Drawing didn't get far.

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:49

My red and black underwear would be my regular stuff covered in lochia to achieve the red look Grin.

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:51

Nice Grin

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:52

(at lochia)

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:52

Do you mean your regular underwear has cut-outs?

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:53
TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:53

Peep holes... oh yes! I don't have time to pull my knickers down to piss these days Grin.

ValiumQueen · 07/12/2012 17:56

(hypocrite that I am Grin )

TheDetective · 07/12/2012 17:56

Is it acceptable to whine over the noise of the TV... I NEED A POO to DP and DS?!

I'm going to have to go and ruin his lovely clean floors by dashing over them aren't I?! Better than pebble dashing them anyway... Grin.

Sorry, sorry! Always bringing the thread in to the gutter!
