You never know - we might all get into one room after all!

Hoorah! We had poo! She is always so chilled after a poo. Me too actually.

horseylady · 06/12/2012 18:03

It would be good to meet you all!!

Pass more chilled when you've pooed or the baby?

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 18:03

How did the nappy do?

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 18:04

I read it as pass after having a dump.

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 18:05

I vote we should all go camping at horseys farm. A mummy boot camp.

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2012 18:09

Lol! Both actually. Both being great relief and penny has her mummy's poor digestive transit it would appear.

I hate camping. I would, however, vote for staying in nice comfy beds on horsey's farm. I'm a farm girl - I could muck out!

Catbag · 06/12/2012 18:21

Camping sounds awesome! We have a dome tent that could double as a marquee. It is a 9 person tent that is 8 feet high so loads of head clearance for DH. We took it to a v. middle class music festival last year and got many compliments about it. Little did they know that it was an ebay bargain, second hand for £40! Xmas Grin

horseylady · 06/12/2012 18:29

Iol that's fine!!! Though it's a 6 acre field and a barn. No house. Sadly. Need the green belt rules to change. You can camp though quite happily!!

MissMummy1 · 06/12/2012 18:57

Huge tmi question (figure we've lost all.dignity anyway but will word it politely! Smile )- how long after labour did you all have your first bowel movements? I still haven't gone, but have no need to go. Before pregnancy/labour it was normal for me to.go several days with no issues Blush MW seems obsessed with it and I'm worried about what she'll say/do tomorrow if I still haven't gone - dday +4.

Also, kellymom website says you can use a bottlewarmer to heat refrigerated breastmilk. Anyone do this? Is it heated to body temp?

Sorry I just seem to be asking loads of silly questions today and contributing nothing Blush - your knowledge is priceless though and such a huge help!

Oh and can't remember who also had sore nips when feeding but I found after I'd expressed a bit off all pain had gone!

NervousAt20 · 06/12/2012 18:59

Arghhhhhh men Angry

NervousAt20 · 06/12/2012 19:01

I'm from the midlands too do Scotland's abit out the way for me

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:03

mm I think i took near enough ten days before I went, and I kinda hung on to it for a day or so because I was frightened Blush I had had awful piles and constipation through pregnancy and was in terror, but actually it was ok.

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 19:04

nervous what has he done now?

MM not silly questions at all. Save your pennies. Any old jug of hot water will do. Couple of minutes just to take the chill off it.

We have a Kalahari 10, but I want a bell.

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 19:06

I went day 3. Start with dried apricots or similar. Mine fell out with no effort.

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:08

Re heating bottles mm, when I've done it I've just put the bottle in a jug and filled it up to the level of the milk inside the bottle with boiling water. I swish the bottle around after a couple of mins to ensure even heat distribution and test the temp by dropping a couple of drops from the bottle on the inside of my forearm.

horseylady · 06/12/2012 19:08

Mm I did a tiny poo two days after birth. I was very scared. It was ok. My insides didn't fall out where my pelvic floor used to be.

With bottles, boil kettle, water in jug leave for a few minutes. Only needs to be room temp. Or lower. Ds hates it straight from fridge, but will drink if the chills been taken off.

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:12

Did anyone succeed in getting selected to test out that new breast pump? I applied, but i noticed yesterday that it is now closed so must not have been successful. Boo.

ValiumQueen · 06/12/2012 19:13

Not the pump. Just the cream. Bastards. I would have loved that pump Grin

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:14

I thought milk had to be about body temp? I've obviously been warming it too much. They didn't seem to mind!

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:16

I got the cream too, but would have loved the pump. I have a spectra 3, on recommendation from someone here, but it is difficult to get any time to use it at the mo and when I did, I found that it mangled me a bit :(

horseylady · 06/12/2012 19:17

I feed formula cat. You can feed that from the fridge as I think you can with breast milk. Obviously room temperature more natural and preferred. Ds prefers it freshly made from the kettle which it generally is. It's warmer then.

Catbag · 06/12/2012 19:20

I just assumed that body temp would be the preferred temp and heated accordingly. Never occurred to me to look up what it should be heated to!

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/12/2012 19:26

Marking my place and doing my pelvic floor exercises Smile

YellowWellies · 06/12/2012 19:34

We've got a rental place in Fife - going to house hunt properly once we're in situ. Can't wait!

YellowWellies · 06/12/2012 19:43

As everyone says no need for a warmer we just heat in a big mug of warm water. One odd tip from the MW swirl the bottle - never shake breast milk in the bottle (does this mean we shouldnt shake our boobs?!)
