Good luck aethel, hope you get a buyer quickly!

BJR I guess the fact that he got his brother to babysit shows that he wants to work on improving things. Is there anywhere he could go for a few days so you both have space to thing about what you want? Do you know what you want, as it seems to be about what he wants to do. If it weren't for DS do you think you'd still be together now?

DH has a broken finger, he squashed it between two barrels at work yesterday. He wasn't going to go to A&E despite suspecting a break, he said he couldn't afford to take the time off work to go. It was hurting more when he came home late last night, my pestering had made him consider going when he got up this morning. He lasted until 3am then caved and went because he couldn't cope anymore, so he's now at work after no sleep with a broken finger.

Figgygal · 13/10/2012 13:43

Back from shop where have stocked up on bickiepegs calpol and teething powders we had a 1am and 5am wake ups lots of snot, finger chewing and drooling today Sad

We have 7 people round for dinner tonight because he's usually so good some of them staying over prob not such a good idea now

OiMissus · 13/10/2012 16:17

It'll be fine figgy - enjoy the dinner.
The next room for decorating is the downstairs WC. We went looking for tiles today. I just want a strip to go behind the basin. 16 ft of tiles... I bought the wallpaper yesterday. 2 rolls... after trying loads, comparing, (driving DH mad) I found some lovely mosaic tiles to match the paper. Perfect. How much are these please? It would appear I found the most expensive tiles in the shop. Which is completely typical of me. 16ft. £500. !!!!!!!
I shall reassess. ...oh but they are perfect and would look fabulous....!!! Maybe I can get away with using less by only starting above the basin...

Figgygal · 13/10/2012 17:46

oi share the tiles please want to see them as they must be gold encrusted at that price!!

AWomanCalledHorse · 13/10/2012 19:55

Figgy for tonight, hope dinner goes well & he's just happy to be the centre of attention!

Oi, I'm like that, show me 2 identical things & I'll always favour the more expensive one. Hope you find some sensible alternatives soon...or badger DH into getting the pricey ones!

seven, hope it's not a bad break & he's feeling better, and he manages some sleep tonight.

Fingers crossed aethel!!

Got a positive pg test this morning, but it's very faint & I'm very crampy so not expecting much to come of it, will let you know when it's a proper, confirmed positive.
Even if it ends in nothing, it means I can get pg still, hurrah!

seven77 · 13/10/2012 20:06

AWCH a positive is a positive. When is/was AF due? I was 8 days late before I got a very faint line with Eva, I told DH by saying "if you can see that line and I'm not imagining it I'm pregnant"!

Hope dinner goes well figgy.

Aethelfleda · 13/10/2012 20:34

Woohoo....maybe...AWCH....

oi, I am in genuine awe of your ability to spot a "bargain"... For £500 I would hope they cleaned the loo for you in between visits...

Good luck tonight figgy, you sound very well prepared!

Nothing going on house wise, it's a waiting game now I suppose (interspered with frequent tidying). Have the European Washing mountain to deal with tomorrow: hope that it's a good day for drying!

I have spiky temped boys! The girl is camping so I have no idea if she has a temerature...

More tea!

Hope everyone is having a tolerable weekend:)

BJR · 14/10/2012 06:40

Fingers crossed for you AWCH!

I have a poorly boy, he's losing his voice and keeps croaking mama at me. Duvet day I think Smile

Figgygal · 14/10/2012 07:54

I must be delirious through lack of sleep and hangover (DS only woke up 5 times in the night bleurgh) but AWCH making me jealous and I said very early on no more babies for me .......fingers crossed for u

LittleMissFlustered · 14/10/2012 08:01

That was a long one >_<

Got temperatures down in the end, though Octoboy's did get up to 39.2°c before the calpol kicked in:( He's quite happily sat shouting and blowing raspberries at my pillow now though. I have bonuses what it did, but it is being told quite emphatically!:o

Hope your dude is feeling better soon BJR.

MissRee · 14/10/2012 09:27

Not more poorly babes Sad Hope they all get better soon!

Tentative congrats AWCH - when will you be retesting??? Grin again, not at all jealous

Argh the boychild has thrown Rice Krispies and milk all over the blinking sofa Sad I'm getting seriously peed off with his lack of respect for anything. So far this weekend he has: broken the toilet chain, spilled toothpaste all over the floor and smeared it in with his foot, chucked his roll crumbs all over the carpet (yes, on purpose) and now thrown Rice Krispies everywhere and deemed it more important to go and get changed before wiping it up off the sofa!!! Freya makes less mess than he does!!!

jigglebum · 14/10/2012 09:48

Poorly freya here too. Horrible cough so she has puked up all her milk and the little she ate for breakfast, temp and unsettled. she seemed fine yesterday, its amazing how quick it comes on. she was awake for 3 hrs ish in the night. gave her to dh for half of it so he will grumpy and tired today, even though he is only just getting up now!

Figgygal · 14/10/2012 10:59

Yup DS had a temperature all day yesterday and he has pretty screamed all morning feel so sorry for him he's drooling everywhere like a bloody tap and refuses to nap. Am off to an nct sale in a bit had said was leaving him here with dh but looks like am gonna have to take him so he has distractions and maybe sleep in pushchair.

Dinner with PIL tonight not looking forward to it if this am is anything to go by

LittleMissFlustered · 14/10/2012 13:02

They're communicating again aren't they?!

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/10/2012 18:40

AWCH Congratulations Smile

Hope all babies & mummies feel better soon.

Darcie had an allergic reaction to her flu jab. Nothing to sinister just hives! Some anti-histamines and it's soon cleared up.

Sky has cut her first tooth Grin about time if I do say so myself lol.

Hope everyone has a good chilled evening.

Figgygal · 14/10/2012 20:31

The nct sale was a success he now has new winter trousers 2 dribble bibs and a baby gap fleece which was the princely sum of £1.

He hates his teeth being brushed clamps HHS mouth shut and thrashes not sure I've got near them last 2 nights must do some tooth brush weaning

Shower and early bed for me

OiMissus · 14/10/2012 21:19

Tentative congrats awch!
We had our second night out as a couple (without BOi) last night. It was a 60th bd party, and was good fun. So we weren't alone together, like a date Wink, but we did have a dance together, so it was nice.
I didn't drink, so I was out gardening early this morning, after giving BOi his breakfast, leaving DH to deal with his hangover and a baby. Grin
Tomorrow the guy will call to tell me if he can do some other tiles for a better price. They are gold-y, but really vair nice. And the wallpaper is green. It sounds gross, but honestly it is LUSH, glorious and fabulous. Grin

seven77 · 14/10/2012 21:23

Sorry to hear of more poorly babies, hope they're all better soon.

figgy I said very early on I wouldn't have any more :o

Give us an update AWCH, we need to break out the enormous spangly pompoms!

I've been feeling sick most of the afternoon, not helped by DH cooking kippers.

Figgygal · 14/10/2012 22:51

Ok he went to bed a bit late (8.15) by time we got back from PIL he's been up 3 times already have just calpoled and powdered him there's no temp but assuming its his teeth, there's nothing more can do Is there?

So very tired ........zzz zzz

Aethelfleda · 14/10/2012 23:15

Ibuprofen figgy? it's my personal fave for teething grumps...

OP posts:
Figgygal · 15/10/2012 01:15

Wow this isn't fun 2nd wake up since we've gone bed and this one has lasted an hour so far got every teether we have out (not that he's ever shown any interest on chewing any of them) to no avail I even gave him the coasters from the side tables as he usually gives them a good go but no!!! The skunk has weed all over the kitchen floor so the noise has stressed her out too.

seven77 · 15/10/2012 04:52

Hope you managed some sleep in the end figgy!

GeeandTee · 15/10/2012 07:31

Minigee slept through!

figgy have you tried just giving him the toothbrush to chew on? Then next day put a tiny smear of toothpaste on. Then build up to giving it a wiggle while he chews on it.

Figgygal · 15/10/2012 07:37

I am sloping off to cry in a corner, 5 wake ups again he is of course still asleep and im dropping him off at cm for day at 8 best get him up .....she is going to have some day with him Sad

Worse than a newborn even then most he usually woke up was twice a night.

On good news he is a pro with his baby walker so now have a new distraction.
