FYI Sainsburys are doing a 3 ring paddling pool for £4 at mo. Just got one. Littles couldn't be happier. x

McKayz · 19/06/2012 16:28

Nothing happening. I am having irregular and painful contractions though. Just need them to start getting regular.

Beans Great news about your Dad's scan. I hope the next one is as good.

Beans36 · 19/06/2012 16:45

Oh Kayz - keeping everything crossed for you that they get regular soon! How exciting.

Thanks for good wishes about Dad. We'll hear next week about the further investigation. Fingers crossed.

Deids - it's the wanting what you can't have syndrome, with this one girl. I remember it from primary school too. Horrid, but she will move on and find a friend who she really loves and who loves her back. xx

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 20:12

Kayz how exciting, sounds like unestablished labour (such a soul destroying name for the beginning of labour) not long now. Have you spoken to DH? Who is supporting you in his place?

McKayz · 19/06/2012 20:18

Mum will be.

I'm trying to work out if it could be established labour. They were about 4 minutes apart but only lasting 20 seconds. So I got in the pool and they slowed down. So I've gotten out and they seem to be ramping up again. I just don't want to ring the midwife to be told its not established and I'm 1cm or something.

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 20:22

It's best not to get into the pool until your a bit further on as it can slow things down. Is someone with you Kayz. Gosh this is so exciting. She is on her way for sure. Why not just give them a call, just to let them know things are starting up, then at least they know she is on the move.

McKayz · 19/06/2012 20:27

The last one was a minute long and really bloody hurt.

DeidreBarlow · 19/06/2012 20:36

Ooo Kayz this is more exciting than the footie!!!

If this is it, good luck & wishing you a speedy, painless (as much as it can be) birth xx

Obergene · 19/06/2012 20:39

Oooooh Kayz!!!! How exciting. Call your mum so you have some company. Are the boys asleep? Come on Olympia!!!!!!

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 20:58

Yay Kayz, a minute, Olympia is ready to meet her brothers I think. This is so exciting.

McKayz · 19/06/2012 21:48

Just rang the hospital and the MW is going to come see me and see how it's going.

She can't be called Olympia now. The torch has gone! Plus DS2 would kill me as he's been calling her by the name we picked for months.

Beans36 · 19/06/2012 21:57

Ooh oooh, sounds like she's going to arrive tomorrow, on DD2's birthday!!!!! WELL DONE KAYZ! x

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 21:59

She'll always be Olympia to me.

JamInMyWellies · 19/06/2012 22:02

Good Luck Kayz. Look forward to hearing the news in the morning.

HUrrah for the positive scan results for your Dad beans.

ZuleikaJambiere · 19/06/2012 22:12

Good luck Kayz Smile. Is the MW there yet? To echo Vag, I was told not to get into the pool until 6cm, to avoid labour slowing. But then, why do MWs suggest taking a bath in early labour to relax?? And the torch is in York tonight, so still pretty local - Olympia still an option (at least on this thread, even if not in RL)

Many happy returns to Pru tomorrow - I can't believe she is about to turn 2 and you're talking about potty training already!

McKayz · 19/06/2012 22:18

She's on the way as is my mum.

They are really fucking painful now. I want some gas and air.

Obergene · 19/06/2012 22:25

Oh gosh I hope they get their soon Kayz, we don't want your DS1 having to deliver the baby while DS2 coaches you in breathing.

My bet is a baby at 2.20am. Girl (obviously). 9lbs on the nose.

Obergene · 19/06/2012 22:26

Wrong "their/there". Mortifying. I blame the birth related excitement. Its making my ovaries drum which distracts the spelling parts of my brain.

Nolda · 19/06/2012 22:45

Good luck Kayz. Thinking of you and hope all goes smoothly.

I bet she arrives at 1.35 am. 10lbs 1.

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 22:51

3:14 8lb 2oz. No, 5am 7lb 8oz.

Obs are you OK, you never miss and now your writing their instead of there??? Something is/wrong!

McKayz · 19/06/2012 23:11

I'm in labour!!! 4cm and 3 very strong contractions in 10 minutes.

TheInvisibleHand · 19/06/2012 23:29

Go Kayz!

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 23:40

Wow it's a mumsnet birth, go Kayz. Have you spoken to DH, he must be so excited.

VagolaJahooli · 19/06/2012 23:41

I've just realised I'm on European time. So to save any disputes the time guess I gave is my time.

McKayz · 20/06/2012 02:24

Rosalie Jean was born at 1:08am. She weighs 9lb 6.5oz
