[waves] [catches up on thread]

Sorry, have been "busy" with a friend who was visiting. God, my liver needs a break now. Hmm I had a record two pints down the pub last week and was horribly hungover the next day. Shock

Some random bits I remember from the thread:
debka - I think loose skin is common when you lose weight at a good clip. I think body brushing can help but I think the only real solution is surgery (sorry). But well done on losing 6 stone!

reastie - Shock at the cost of your gym. I pay £16.70/month (staff rate at the uni gym) for the gym and most classes but it's v no-frills: no towels, creche, cafe, etc. Good luck with the gym, I feel so much better now that I'm exercising regularly.

blizy - Angry at your FIL and SIL. I'm glad you and DH got away to remember Zoe on your own.

reastie · 04/06/2012 18:46

Hiya

wiggles forgot to comment on MrW's working around the olympic torch - he wasn't one of those runners that runs along side it was he this may account for the weight loss too Wink

ponyo if ever you want to rant about ow or other issues re: your Dad at any point you know we are here, x

needto can we have a sleep update?

deb my magic knickers have arrived from m&s. They're quite good but do dig in when I sit down and the other day I had to take them off as it made me get stomach ache just as well I wasn't out Wink , great for free though Grin

blizy not long now til you get those results - hope time isn't going too slowly for you

how are the moving plans going?

ledkr enjoy your night out tonight

wiggles yes I did go to the gym for my assessment - have got a sweat inducing program to do . I got weighed by the instructor and I still weigh a huge amount but it was a whole stone less than when I was last weighed (by fat fighters lady months ago) which made me Grin

Alice still poorly - she was up EVERY 45 minutes last night for 15minutes Sad . I can't take credit as DH has stoic as ever and got up with her. She's still not eating though bless her and had quite a fever last night.

blizy · 05/06/2012 09:38

Morning all!

Reastie- hope the gym does you some good, and well done on the weight loss!

American- check you with the pints Wink. Glad you had a good time.

Wiggles- has mr wiggles recovered from his Olympics duty?

Ledkr- hope you are not too rough today, how was last night? It sounded fab.

I have ben conned into having two of my after schoolers unil 4pm today (yes those ones wiggles) booo! Think I will bore them in the museum and let them run of some steam at an adventure play park.

Have a good day y'all. Grin

debka · 05/06/2012 13:16

reastie bloody well done on losing a STONE without even noticing! That is fantastic! Would still like to meet up on Friday, where are you exactly (well, not exactly exactly, obv, but what town), so I can look at somewhere midway. I'd love to come to your house but I think it might be a bit too far. Really hope Alice is better, every 45 mins sounds like the 7th circle of hell to me.

blizy I wish you could be my cm, how lovely for the children to do those things.

expat I think you're right re skin. I always thought I'd never consider it, but I'm starting to feel a little tempted now. Long way to go yet though.

ponyo hope you're doing ok :)

ledkr I told you, my boobs are far too enormous for poxy M&S bra sizes. I am a 38JJ, they only go up to a DD!!! you're absolutely right though

Well The Plaster is off but she's not taken to sucking her fingers again. I am sad about this, it was her cute baby thing :( It's made naps a bit harder work for her, so yesterday I had them both in bed by 6.30 and DH and I ate tea together (no children Shock) then watched The Concert. Girls didn't wake till 7.20am!!!

Had a nice morning, Imy had a bike ride on the front, I stuck S in the pram for the first time for months, she loved it! Weigh in tonight, I'm a bit worried, been naughty this week.

ledkr · 05/06/2012 14:30

Hi all.

Not too hungover I was fairly restrained. ds was amazing but we all felt mildly stupid as it was drum and base and dub step (for anyone who doesnt know we were far to old and mainstrem to be there) it didnt matter though cos after a few voddies i was loving it (as you do) Grin

We tried to stay out later but admitted defeat and came homw by 2.30 and slept for s few hours before Dilly Doldrums got up,dh went down till 7 then dil got up snd let him come back to bed. I have been up since 8 eating snd drinking copiously.

reastie Well done on the gym and the stone. I think the baby weight is still shifting cos i have lost a bit without really trying,am doing c25k but only on week 4 so cant imagine thats what has done it.

wiggs did dh wear the grey get up and escort the torch thing?

deb sorry i forgot about your unfeasably large norkage Grin I have to say I didnt think you were busty when i met you. Btw when are you posting pics of your new slimline figure?

I have just eaten chicken avocado and ham with olives, was delish.

debka · 05/06/2012 14:37

ledkr blimey you've got 10 years and 3DCs on me and your life is WAAAY more interesting than mine! Grin Envy

To be fair, everything else is also unfeasably large too Grin. Maybe I'll get reastie to take a photo of me on Friday wearing my shapewear and hiding behind a large plant

wigglesrock · 05/06/2012 20:18

Evening all,

reastie very well done on the weight loss, first stone is the hardest Grin Hows A?

blizy shite to having the little menaces darlings, hope the museum bored the pants of them Grin

ledkr no, the grey T-shirted brigade are hired by the Olympic Committee - Mr W has already bored explained this to me last week Grin Mr W and his little cronies were huddled together in a car. Although they had to move the whole thing as they were blue lighted to an emergency - I mean those doughnuts won't eat themselves Wink Glad you enjoyed last night!

debka Sofia is still a digit sucker (as our dentist so charmingly put it), she still sucks two fingers if she's really tired. Hope weigh in went well Grin

Had lovely day here, set out up the coast at an unfeasibly early hour - had brilliant day, the girls had lots of fun - bumper cars, bumper boats, bouncy castles, go karts etc. Anna actually played with the sand for hours, she just kept putting it in one bucket then another with a look of supreme concentration on her face - it was very funny. Had just packed the car up when it started to bucket down Grin

Oh I am reading 50 Shades of Grey on the Kindle Blush, you know the dirty book everyone is reading Grin. Its dreadful, and not in a good way. Makes Lace seem like an erotic masterpiece - very disappointed, I mean if I spend £2.83 on a dirty book I expect it to be mildly diverting Grin Its just so blah, deblah, deblah - oh and deffo written with men in mind - quelle surprise Grin

ledkr · 05/06/2012 21:37

Ah wiggs thats disappointing love, have you considered that it may be quite dirty to normal people its just your filthy mind is used to more debauched stuff Grin

Read Nancy Friday now that will make your Oirish hair curl. i read it on nights and fancied a shag all the way through (apart from the very extreme stuff) Shock and Blush I love the way it was dressed up as a feminist breakthrough when it was actually just hardcore porn lol.

blizy · 06/06/2012 09:46

Grin at wiggles and ledkr with their dirty books rushes off to find them on amazon.

Just back from the dr, hormone levels seem fine! I have to go back for more blood tests as the last dr was adamant I had to get the test on day 21 when I don't ov until day 17/17. Stupid Dr thinks all women have a 28day cycle. New Dr was very good and on the ball.

Grin
Emski76 · 06/06/2012 12:58

Hi all
Ledkr and Wiggles, a few of my friends have been reading those 'filthy' books. Dh has started reading the first one, hope it doesn't give him any ideas!!

Blizy, glad your new doc seems better. Why don;t they just listen to the patient!!

Had a fun filled weekend, which ended with our street party yesterday. We all sat under gazebos in the pissing down raining eating our little picnics and drinking wine out of plastic cups, it was fab!! The kids loved it, and everyone was in good spirits!

Noah was really unsettled on Monday night, so I ended up sleeping with him on the sofa bed from 5am. We couldn;t work out what the problem was, until we opened his nappy in the morning. He must have pooed last evening because it had stuck to his bottom and burnt his skin. He literally screamed and tried to climb up me. I cried as I felt like such a bad mother. The poo was so acidic thoughm, due his teething, that I didn;t really smell it. Poor baby. He's still in pain today. We also think he may be allergic to strawberries. Both dh and mil are. i worked out Monday that after eating a bucketful on Monday he came out in blotchy excema which he gets now and then, but it happened so quickly. Such a shame as he devours them!

I've been busy trying to catch up so please forgive me for not replying to all threads. I promise to do better in future!

ledkr · 06/06/2012 16:20

Aw EMS thats awfull, ive done that with mine before. Have you tried metanium i find it fool proof.

blizy good news on the tests then, glad the Dr is ok and not a fool. Ill have you know young lady that I am not currently reading pornographic literature, dont tar me with wiggles brush Grin

D went to bed late last night as we took them out for curry. She woke at 8 which is a record,it was so nice.

I have been out buying stuff for our camper van trip tomorrow. I keep thinking of usefull items, its cost me so much i could have stayed in a 5 star hotel haha.

Bought Dills some crocs size 3,she looks mega cute and keeps them on too.

ledkr · 06/06/2012 16:23

D has just walked in wearing a pair of my knickers around her neck Blush

Emski76 · 06/06/2012 18:07

Ledkr, had to post as D with your knickers round her neck reminds me of Noah wearing Bens pants on his head and round his neck and chewing on them, weirdo!
Someone at nursery recommended metanium too. Will have a shifty for it tomorrow

ledkr · 06/06/2012 18:41

Update. D was still wearing knickers whne she found Ellas last night hot choc leftovers in her room Angry so she was then wearing my knicks complete with brown stains when my ex popped in to brag about the holiday he has just boked to see Ella Blush

I had a big filling today and my jaw is aching, cant wait till dh comes in and i can flake out.

debka · 06/06/2012 19:15

ledkr Grin to pants round the neck

emski poor little Noah, hope he heals up quick. Your street party sounds ace :)

wiggles your day on the beach sounds brilliant, yay :)

Had a hard day, S woke at 6 crying then only slept for 30mins in the car Shock, she was beyond tired by bedtime.

I had a friend's girls today, I think I've mentioned her before, she's a single mum, 4yo and 2yo, 2yo has health problems. Anyway, my friend is so so poorly atm, she keeps passing out and having fits, some days can't even get out of bed. I thought her sister was helping her but she's being a real bitch by the sound of things, leaving my friend completely without help, it's a horrible horrible situation for her. I was so upset to hear how bad things are. I've arranged to have the girls one afternoon every week, which will help a bit at least. ledkr if she got in touch with SS would they be able to give her any help? Not total take-the-children-away help but just some support? The children are ok, just about, but my friend is falling apart. :(

Deliaskis · 06/06/2012 20:13

errmmm...[whispers]....helloooooo......

Love new job, hate no mn! Miss you all.

Deliapointlessposterskis

wigglesrock · 06/06/2012 20:29

deliaskis I was just thinking about you Grin I kid you not. There is a thread about if you had a baby girl right now what would you call her and I asked Mr W and he said C Grin Its his favourite name in the whole world. I was slightly more shocked at the ease in which he answered the question with no look of God No why are you asking woman Shock

emski sure Noah will be bum gorgeous in no time. My friend swears by Metanium and both pharmacist and HV recommended it to me.

blizy glad your new Dr seems more on the ball.

debka so sad about your friend - am sure the one afternon a week will seem like a lifeline - hope she can get some support

Have taken the weekend off work - yay, am off now until Mon. I had to work today as we were closed on Monday. Anna had a lie in today until 7.15am Shock, will be heading to the beach whenever possible now Grin

wigglesrock · 06/06/2012 20:30

PS We are nearly out of thread Shock

Deliaskis · 06/06/2012 20:41

wiggles funny re naming a girl C, I read the thread title in the hot topics bit on the right, and thought, well C of course....well yes....obviously...duh. Funny re MrW just answering it straight out like that.

Emski poor poorly bum, but agree metanium is meant to be the business.

Nearly out of thread, I've been barely there on this one Sad.

ledkr · 06/06/2012 21:13

deb ss are so short of money or resources but it would depend on the child/mothers diagnosis tbh.SS could sign post her to relevant agencies if they cant help. If any of them are under the hospital then they could ask to speak to a hospital sw for advice.

Different illnesses have different support networks eg,I used macmillan and ds uses the kidney patient association.

If you pm me with a bit more info and her local authority I can find out some more if you like.

tadjennyp · 06/06/2012 22:59

Hello, just wanted to post before we ran out!

Poor Noah's bum, ems, hope it gets better soon. Hope your friend gets better soon deb. Good on you for helping her out. Glad everything is well for you blizy. Hello delia!

All your street parties sound like so much fun. Hope you are all having a good evening. X
