OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ledkr · 27/05/2012 20:39

Oh deb how marv Hmm Get some rescue remedy in then.
Grin at the vaseline incident. I had many of those with the ds's it would go quiet and then id find them painting each other with my nail varnish or something. Id imagine d will be the same.

Shes asleep btw Grin

blizy · 27/05/2012 21:00

Debka- GrinGrinGrin at the Vaseline treatment. Wow at your fil visiting, hope it's not too stressful!

Granny- well done again.Grin

Ledkr- your day sound knackering!

I had a lovely lazy day with Dh lounging in the garden.Smile

wigglesrock · 27/05/2012 21:06

debka Grin at Vaselinegate - you hve my sympathies, vaseline is a bugger to get out. Enjoy tomorrow Grin

ledkr well done on the healthliness Grin and YADNBU. Sofias sports day is on Thursday and am well prepared this year and going to wear the most impractical shoes I possess, so when they try and press gang me into the parents race, I can just wiggle my toes and simper "oh silly me" Grin

grannyapple well done, you should be really proud of yourself xx

Been working all weekend, and had lovely day at my Mums today, had paddling pool out and slide into it Hmm Anna managed to eat her own body weight (no mean feat) at the BBQ.

Oh, have posted some photos of today, well its been at least 2 weeks since I stealth showed off shared some photos of the girls Grin

ledkr · 27/05/2012 21:13

wiggs i always loved the Mums race. They have stoped it now though.I think it was the one and only time my boys were proud of me Grin

Can i say though although vaseline is a bastard, you have not lived until your daughter has "washed her hair" in sudocreme. I swear that stuff will still be around after the apocolypse Grin

WeAreBorg · 27/05/2012 21:15

granny wow well done for the run, very impressed. That is so sad about the little baby though, how awful.

debka Ha ha ha. At least S is well moisturised after her spa treatment.

ledkr did D get to sleep?

ponyo sorry things have been difficult, hope you are okay.

blizy Boo to AF. I guess if worst comes to worst and the results show that something is wrong then at least they will hopefully know what to do, like tad mentioned with the clomid

reastie N is the same, he is often very clingy and whingy for me but a saint for other people, especially my in laws. Actually he is fine for me if I do what he wants; I guess f other people are looking after them, they give them their full attention whereas we need to do other things

expat N bites me a lot, but seems to do it when he's really excited. I have no worries about him with other toddlers, he either ignores them, politely follows them then just stands there staring at them, or cries if they go near him Confused. He can't climb at all, has a half hearted go at a chair or something then gives up Grin

We have had a lovely weekend, my mum and dad were up so went to visit a castle and gardens nearby. Nate loved the fountains and spent lots of time running through them once he plucked up the courage.
He has become rather camp of late, he has just been rifling through my wardrobe and fetched a pair of tights, threw them rather dramatically round his neck then got one of my fancy purses and has been walking up and down the hall with them both.

wiggles i thought of you, Idris Elba was in the Times this morning. Was is robin who was watching the Bridge? Have just finished it, rather good for anyone into swedish/danish crime dramas.

wigglesrock · 27/05/2012 21:20

WeAreBorg I saw it [swoon], wrestled the paper off my Dad as soon as he bought it Blush

WeAreBorg · 27/05/2012 21:21

Oh I am really competitive about things like that, I would probably go into training for sports day. I am a terrible loser too.

wiggles awww lovely photos. How on earth do you get A to keep her hat on? I'm sick of chasing Nate around trying to put it on, and fishing his hat out of ponds and hedges

ledkr · 27/05/2012 21:35

id like to know the hat secret too please. Dills has already burnt her face cos no amount of sunscreen will stay on her snotty teary face long enough but hats are a massive nono for her i even tied one on her today.

wigglesrock · 27/05/2012 21:46

She kept the hat on for 10 mins at the most Grin, it was floating in the paddling pool by the end of the day but she loves getting suncream on Shock, I always had to wrestle with the other two to get it on but she proffers her face up whenever she sees the bottle of cream.

ledkr We went away with Olivia when she was about 18 months she would wear a bandana no bother but wouldn't entertain a hat at all.

Sofia is the competitive one in our family, she's in training for the long distance run Shock, Olivia is a bit like her Mum - couldn't give 2 shiney shites. I always feel a bit for Sofia because Olivia really doesn't care about winning but finds stuff really easy.

blizy · 27/05/2012 21:50

Grin shiney shites

ILovePonyo · 27/05/2012 21:57

Grin at Borg and N being camp, love that image. A loves playing with a piece of string, and by that I mean wrapping it round her neck and then crying becuase it hurts/I take it off her to stop her strangling herself Hmm

deb sound advice, thank you. woo pil visit! Bet you can't wait Wink Did you take a pic of Beany and her new hair do?!

wigs beautiful pics as always, O is such a cheeky monkey (I know I;ve said that before). A likes putting on suncream herself, but really just gets some on her finger then rubs it on the same spot in her neck Grin

granny massive congrats on the 10k - brilliant! Esp in this heat, I get a sweat on walking. So sad to hear about the baby, what a thing to have to go through :(

I would bloody hate sports day and finish last in 'funny me' style.

Night all x

Grannyapple · 27/05/2012 22:16

Thx for all the congrats ladies...legs ate aching a bit now!

Aw wiggs...crackin pics....ur girls are just too cute!

ledkr · 28/05/2012 07:15

Well weirdsville! D slept untill nearly 7 after her hour long 5-6 nap Hmm

I give up,she is just a weirdo twas lovely to sleep well though and not get up early.

wiggs your girls all look so much like you and A reminds me so much of the Dillster.
She needs to wear a brimmed hat to cover her pale face so a bandana would be no good. We had an inccident of extreme screaming yesterday,i was scared and thought we needed a Dr asap. She just kept screaming as if in pain.
It turned out that we think she had rubbed suncream into her eyes!

debka · 28/05/2012 09:47

Well great news ledkr on your lie-in, you've always said though that when D doesn't sleep well in the day she wakes up mega early. We've had a suncream in eyes screaming incident too.

wiggles gorgeous photos, love the tents in the garden idea. What a big girl Anna is! S is a little shrimpy thing in comparison.

We're all hyped up ready for The Visit. Apparently they're staying all day [sigh]. Be here with Wine for me this evening please!!

reastie · 28/05/2012 13:23

Lucky you with the PIl visit deb Hmm . Do let us know how it all goes and Shock to vaselinegate

wiggles love the piccies - Anna looks so grown up Grin

Well, DH has lost his keys - we think Alice has hidden them somewhere Shock . He looked everywhere this morning. It has his van key, garage key, house key etc and I don't have spares for all his work stuff keys Shock . Luckily we have one spare garage key but don't have spares for everything so if it's lost I'm not quite sure what he'll do Hmm . In other lost news - we've lost Alices shoe so I had to buy a new pair for her this morning even though she doesn't actually need them Angry

Oh, and speaking of tesco clubcard vouchers - I spent mine this morning on 2 talking in the night garden toys. They seemed like such a good idea at the time Hmm but Alice can't work out how to press the button to make them sing so keeps making me do it ALL the time granny it's a bit sad but I'm so Envy of you going to in the night garden live. I was v tempted to take Alice but chickened out due to the cost. Did N meet iggle and upsy afterwards? Well done btw on the run

ponyo I also sued to finish sports day races (and swimming races) last every time only I was actually trying hard Blush

borg sounds like a nice week end

Grannyapple · 28/05/2012 20:18

reastie tbh we weren't going to go either, but decided at the last minute as we were off that week. We only got the basic tickets...but so glad I didn't pay the £30 odd for the 'premier' seating. Also, could not believe the amount of upselling at the ticket buying...we didn't get any extras like meet n greet or goodie bags, but the show was for an hour & could easily have cost over £100 for the 3 of us...no way was I paying that!

But....it was quite sweet seeing N yeti g to clap & dance when the characters came on, & then wave good bye when they left (soppy).

debka · 28/05/2012 20:44

Well pils have been and finally gone. Actually they weren't too bad, except they hung around all day and so the girls were going a bit mental because we hadn't gone out, and they just chat chat chat all the time, taking my attention away from the girls (heinous crime in Imy's eyes). Spent the day in the garden mostly with either one child or the other whinging at me. Nice.

reastie that's my utter nightmare, really hope they turn up soon...

Been hoping for a thunderstorm here but no such luck, has been utterly glorious though, I've been flashing my knicks at all and sundry today in my summer frock Grin

Speaking of knicks I ordered this bad boy with my M&S card. In an 18. Shock

ledkr · 28/05/2012 21:00

Wow deb an 18 go girlfriend Grin

Sports day was boring non competetive but Ella enjoyed it so did D.

When i got in from work D was in her high chair and shouted "mum" I could have cried, you'd never believe she was no 5. (soppy cow)
deb its funny when the pil behave like normal people when we arent used to it.I almost expect annoying things from them.

Not seen mine for ages now, they are away for half term but think we have agreed to go up the weekend after Sad at least i dont have to put up with them here grazing on my food supplies.

granny and reastie I saw the ng was expensive,d likes it but only for around 2 seconds, she cant stay still long enough to watch tv.

wigglesrock · 28/05/2012 21:14

debka wooo hooo Grin well done on both your new underwear and flashing your old knicks at all and sundry! Glad pils were ok! Oh think we may be about to have your thunderstorm!

reastie hope keys turn up - have you checked the bin? A is very helpful in putting stuff in the bin and in the washing machine Shock Have had a nosy at your gym fees thread Shock, its wild expensive isn't it? The last gym membership Mr W paid was £45 a month, he gets the gym free at work now. My friend goes to a fancy dan one and think hers is about £55 a month. For almost £100 a month I'd be wanting someone to do the exercise for me and still make me look like Jessica Alba Grin

grannyapple upselling is the reason I let my aunt take Sofia and Olivia to various shows Grin Although I remember the first time I took O to see Peppa Pig live (which is actually a really good show), she was transfixed and loved it, I was quite surprised but she didn't move for a whole 70 mins [bliss]

blizy xxx

blizy · 28/05/2012 21:22

Thanks wiggles.

Debka- yay to the pants! Grin. Glad the visit wasn't too painful!

Reastie- i hope the keys turn up soon. I have lost 3lb this week, I'm loving the app!

Ledkr- glad sports day went well.

reastie · 28/05/2012 21:36

wiggles Grin to someone doing the exercise for you - I think you're on to something there Wink

granny see I looked at the prices and my thinking is 'ohh, so if we go we may as well have the best seats to get a good view.....and we may as well meet upsy daisy/.......' etc (I'm clearly a salesmans dream Grin and when I added all that up for Dh and I and alice obv it came to well over £150 Shock . Maybe I should have just gone and stuck to the cheap seats like you Grin . Alice has watched 3 episodes of in the night garden back to back and barely moved from her seat [bad mother] so I feel sure she would have liked it Sad

blizy go you Grin . I've been trying really hard re: eating and hoping if I join my gym again the weight will just fall off Hmm . Re: the app I've just fallen asleep after a few minutes Blush

deb glad PIL visit wasn't too bad considering. Btw - girls getting bored without your attention - were PIls not giving any attention to them Hmm ? I have the opposite problem

Key update - the have been found Grin . Behind the radiator in the bathroom of all places

reastie · 29/05/2012 18:44

Hello

Where is everyone? Hmm Have you all left me?!

How is everyone? Tis hot here again - pretty unbearable working in a room with 7 ovens on all day Shock [sweaty betty] . DD took one look at MIL when she came to look after her today and gave me the biggest hug and screamed the house down. It's so upsetting Sad

Got offered to apply for a different teaching post at a different school today - no idea what to do. Just starting to settle back where I am and I need to let this school know tomorrow to have an interview on Thursday Shock to hand my notice in to my school in time. I just don't know what to do. I'm just getting slowly back into the swing of working where I am and this other school would mean more paper work, more general stress, 1 month less holidays a year but much nicer students who are actually intelligent and generally pretty well behaved Hmm

tadjennyp · 29/05/2012 19:33

Is it your dream job reastie? If so, go for it. Got to dash and pick Anna up, not ignoring you all, honest. Will be back later.

wigglesrock · 29/05/2012 20:12

reastie is there a difference in pay? Grin Have a long think, make up a pro and con list (you know me I'm list girl Grin) Why would it be more stress?

I wouldn't worry too much about A and your mil. S and O both went through this and around 15 months or so. My Mum was distraught but I knew 15 mins after I left it was fine. Anna doesn't appear to suffer from this separation anxiety, tbh she'd go to Nick the devil which I'm not sure is any better Grin

Still gorgeous here, but have cleaned the house this evening so I'm sweaty betty too!

ledkr · 29/05/2012 20:38

reastie Head hunted eh?? Im often tempted but i think its better the devil you know Grin
Dont worry about A either,Dloves to play us all off against each other,She made a big show of snuggling into dh today when i got in and stroking him whilst looking at me daggers Grin Im hard to it though.

blizy well done on the weight loss what app??

Well grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am really pissed off at dh.He has done literally sod all for the last 2 days apart from look after d. Im talking, wet washing in machine, full dishwasher, disgusting floors muddle and mess everywhere, shitty messy garden. Admitedly we had sports day and toddlers yesterday but today he swanned off to a friends for lunch (his grinning bum pal remember) then i got in at 6.30 after a 10 hr day and trip to the gym. Cycled to get E from brownies stopping for shopping.Got in and grinning bum pal here again ready for a nice trip to the gym.He has done sod all. Ive had no tea, packed lunches to make, everywhere a mess and work tomorrow. I am having a glass of wine and doing sod all too. There are some prawns defrosted but ive had bread and peanut butter and am off to bed.I wish i could see his stupid face when he gets in and finds raw prawns fot tea.

I think i should LEAVE THE BASTARD.
