Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
reastie · 10/04/2012 21:31

granny typical Nate being a nightmare today when you had to work! Alice loves playing with her shoes - it seems they're the best toy ever Hmm

ponyo nope, not a single lie in. I've had a couple of wake up, get up, feed Alice then get maybe half an hours sleep afterwards, but that doesn't count really Grin . Tbh, it's pretty impossible to lie in when bfing as she needs milk first thing. DH does occasionally lie in until Alice and I make so much noise he gets up Grin

blizy sorry but boak to the cats bum

wiggles we were told cats hated the smell of leather, so got a leather sofa so the cat wouldn't jump all over it and ruin it and the cat blinking loves the sofa Hmm

oh, and ponyo re: lumpy arms. This may be something completely different but I get tiny lumpy upper arms, have done since I was a child. Once went to a skin specialist doctor person and was told it's some kind of hereditary thing (no idea where it comes from) and nothing I can do to get rid of it. It does seem to get a bit better once I've had some sun on my arms in the summer though (or maybe the tan just covers up the lumps), and was it you who said you had a whole day to yourself with Anya in nursery today? Can't even imagine what a day to myself would be like, let alone time alone with DH Grin Envy

hubbard hope toms next op proves more successful

talira Shock to the cost of clothes over there - no wonder you're in bluewater as soon as you touch down Grin . DO you know when you're next visiting?

Emski76 · 10/04/2012 21:58

Well bloody hell your a chatty lot! I look away for a few hours and bam!

Ledkr, you know what we all think of your in laws but picking on Ella is def a step too far, bastards!

Blizy, love the kitten, shame about the phoo bum tho!

Need to. Tarlia, Tad, Grannym good to hear from you all.

Need to, really pleased your oh is doing so well, Ben sounds brilliant too

Tarlia, I had CBT and found it was fantastic, I've tried so many different therapies since the age of 17 and CBT was the only one to really help me. PM me if you want to talk more.

American, that's one hell of a lie in!

Ponyo, both my boys have lumpy spots on their upper arms, nothing seems to cure it tho. I get it if I don't moisturise enough tho, so it could be dry skin?

Noah still isn't walking properly but says quite a few words. I def think babies either talk quicker or walk quicker, plus I think Noah's just too lazy!

Right I'm off to bed. Been to Rainbows planning meeting tonight and just got home. Shower and bed for me! Night all x

ledkr · 10/04/2012 22:03

My name is ledkr and i have lumpy arms Grin

blizy a grey pussy! How marv, the shape of things to come for us ladies Grin

Im doing the low carb boot camp thread on the 16th if anyone fancies it.I am there fore eating everything in my path this week,i have done some baking and made bakewells and brownies and have just had nachos with chilli and guacamole, wine and chocolate Shock

ledkr · 10/04/2012 22:04

oh yeah and granny Dills has size 2 feet Hmm

btw thanks all for sticking up for Ella its like she has loads of virtual Aunts.

ILovePonyo · 10/04/2012 22:06

Hm no tips really blizy, I think baby will prob try and grab kitten do when A does it I just take her hand and stroke the cars gently so she knows not to grab Grin good luck Alfie!

Reastie yes a WHOLE day to meeee! Well I had to share it with dp but oh well Wink same again tomo woo. Can't believe you've never had a lie in, you need to give A a quick bf then give her to dh and back to bed!

Sounds like bumps on arms are normal then? I agree lack of sun might contribute, might get in some vest tops soon!

I've forgotten what else has been said, sorry am on my phone. Just watched a film called the kill list which was a bit Hmm and boooring tbh.

ILovePonyo · 10/04/2012 22:07

Oh cross post with everyone and blizy hope you know what I meant, cars?! Cats obv!

blizy · 11/04/2012 19:55

Quiet here today, thanks for the stats wiggles.

Well, let's say today was interesting. Baby mindee kept trying to kick an stomp on poor Alfie Sad
Mindee took a nose diving face plant went we were out at the loch and burst his lip.

Other mindees (yes wiggles those ones) dad has some ishoos with the play scheme thing they are at an has involved a lawyer. Totally not called for and very ott.

Had my dad on phone moaning that I haven't been round with wedding photos, but I am sticking to my guns here. If they want to see them they have to come to my house.

I hope tomorrow is better.Confused

Hope all the little ones are well.

chocoroo · 11/04/2012 20:01
wigglesrock · 11/04/2012 20:05

blizy pants day for you, deffo stick to your guns re your Dad. You are a better person than me for having them round Grin How's the darling Alfie? Don't worry the baby mindee will get used to him, we just kept saying ah ah Anna, gently and taking her hand and stroking the dog.

Well met Four4me and half her brood Grin and her lovely sister. Lets just say if she wasn't so lovely, funny and welcoming I'd definitely dislike her for being so gorgeous Grin. We had a great time at the park - Archie is a gorgeous boy, a real wee dote and so good, Anna was very impressed with his cuddly blankie, its as well it was attached to the pram Blush

I've stuck up a few pictures just for you all Grin

wigglesrock · 11/04/2012 20:06

chocoroo "where have you been young lady? and what time do you call this?" Grin

Grannyapple · 11/04/2012 20:39

Aaw...lovely pics wiggs & 44me

chocoroo · 11/04/2012 20:42

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I've been kind of lurking and keeping up with the Facebookers amongst you. Work has been totally hectic, and lots of stuff at weekend's too. I'm on holiday this week though and we've had a few days in London - took R on the London Eye and to Fortnum and Mason for Afternoon tea. Her favourite bit was chasing pigeons on the South Bank though Hmm

It looks like you're all doing well and the babies are still as gorgeous as ever. R is walking and running (still only a 3&1/2 shoe), not too many actual words - most non-human's are doggy's, most humans are daddy, but we do have hiya, hello, bye bye, dat and a manic evil laugh.

They're lovely at this age though. We met up with friend's in London and their newborn twins, bloody Nora that took me back!

ILovePonyo · 11/04/2012 20:42

Ahh wiggles love the photos, Grin at Archie looking somewhat unimpressed at Anna hovering next to him Grin Glad your DAY OF FUN went well.

blizy yikes to your day, don't know the story re: dad with ishoos but Hmm at him. Agree with wigs, stick to your guns re:your own dad. Hope little Alfie is cheering you up after your stress of a day!

choco I've just had pizza for my tea :) Hows things?!

Speaking of food dp and I had 'date day' today whilst A was at nursery, we went to Jamies italian and OM MY GOD it was so tasty, yum! When I picked A up they had put her hair into a funny ponytail on top of her head again beacuse it kept going in her eyes, teehee.
She's also done us a lovely painting (cute) and was exhausted so early bedtime, prob mean early waking then but fingers crossed.

I am a bit doped up on co-codamol as my shoulder has been giving me grief, am fed up with it so booked to see a physio tomorrow... Anyone know if they can just pop a trapped nerve back where its meant to be and thats that?! Hope so Grin

ILovePonyo · 11/04/2012 20:46

Oh needto I think I did a friend request for you on fb. My initials are SB. If not some random has a friend request from me Hmm

choco your London trip sounds lovely! Can't believe R is running Shock A still isn't walking yet. Yes to newborns, I held a 3 week old recently and whilst she was v cute I def didn't feel at all broody!

wigglesrock · 11/04/2012 20:49

chocoroo A calls all moving objects "doggy" and all non moving ones "dolly" Grin She was so excited looking out of the car windows and shouting "doggy" I don't have the heart to tell her its a cow. Although the other two delight in telling her she's got it wrong accompanied by much eye rolling Grin

We did have a lovely afternoon today and we were very lucky with the weather, but I need to ask for all of your positive vibes for tomorrow - Sofias rabid gang friends are descending on me at noon Shock Have the cd player and Bruno Mars and Now 6,000,000 ready and have cleared a space in the spare room playroom for the dancing! I'll be beating a path out the door to work tomorrow evening!

Deliaskis · 11/04/2012 21:11

Good evening Fab Feb ladies, just popping on to say hi, with a nod to the new thread, and to see how you all are.

I hate not being able to mn at work, it really sucks, I miiiiissssssss you all vvv much.

Ponyo we defo have the same problem with C's hair, she has now been banned from wearing hair slides at nursery as she pulls them out and other stupid children eat them, so we're trying a variety of hair bands to no avail, she just shakes her head madly and runs off.

Glad wiggles and Four4 had a successful meet up and neither has mysteriously disappeared in intriguing fashion (well actually Four4 might have....eyes wiggles* suspiciously). I'm pretty sure being the only random in my neck of the woods, that I'll probably never get to meet any of you [wails] but I like to live vicariously through other people's off-line meets.

Agree Ponyo newborns = cute but I am completely not broody. Am constantly amazed by how far we've come tho, C seems so grown up sometimes and then I feel like it went really quickly, but as I am one who really didn't enjoy the early days, then I guess that's a good thing. I'd like it to go a bit slower now tho, this bit is fun!

Blizy catching up half way through but based on what I can see and what you've said before about your Dad, I know for a fact that YANBU. Big hugs for you and SUTH for people who don't treat you as well as you deserve.

Ledkr I seriously can't believe your ILs have now started on Ella, that is way beyond the line.

everyone else waves hello and hopes you're doing fine.

Claudia is doing well, walking and running all over the place, not saying much yet, lots of random babble tho and a few actual words. She's just loads of fun at the moment, even over the long weekend when it rained a lot here, we still had a lovely time the three of us together. She's obsessed with carrying things to random places at the moment, she'll collect an assortment of seemingly very important articles (this morning, a scrap of paper, a nail file, DH's ipod and a muslin) and carry them and put them on the stairs or in the middle of the kitchen or something. She gets very cross if you get in the way of her very busy work. Also obsessed with the stairs.....oh good grief the stairs, drive me up the wall.

I think she's moving to one nap a day, she usually has one successful nap and one really rubbish one (either takes aaayyyyges to get to sleep, or sleeps for about 90 seconds then wakes up whinging) so I think we're heading for one nap a day soonish.

Work is busy so I'm feeling like a bit of a cr@p mummy at the mo, am off to Italy with work tomorrow until Saturday Sad so won't see C (will get a good night's sleep tho so every cloud an'all that).

Hope you're all having a relaxing evening.

Dx

NeedToSleepZZZ · 11/04/2012 21:13

evening all!

lovely pics wiggles and four4me, you're both bloody gorgeous and your children are too so there

wiggles I love the Now 6000000 comment, made me Grin, hope you have earplugs and Wine ready and maybe a lock on your bedroom door?

blizy I don't know the back story to the mindees dad but is he involving lawyers with you? Shock Poor little Alfie, bet you're giving him lots of cuddles now though! Btw, I used to (look away reastie) wipe my cats bum after she'd pooed as she had such long fur that it would get stuck on her tail and she's end up painting the walls with it otherwise Baby wipes are good in those situations Wink

ponyo I have just found your request! Good to see you! Not sure you'll want to be friends after my previous comments though. Ouch at the trapped nerve, not sure what the remedy is but co-codamol rocks, enjoy Grin

Well, I've had a fantastic day with reastie and Alice. She is so well behaved and put up with Ben biting trying to kiss her and poke her eyes. I introduced her to her first computer game (sorry reastie!) and she was amazing at it (toca boca if anyone's interested, not medal of honour or resident evil Wink), genius in the making I think!

Going to have a very well deserved early night now, OH is on night duty and I'm shoving cotton wool in my ears to drown out any sounds from the incredible non sleeping one Hmm. He woke up at 9:30 last night and wouldn't go back to sleep unless I was holding him, I am not amused.

ledkr · 11/04/2012 21:14

Hi all esp choc

We have been to Weston today it was quite nice,Dilly loved the beach and just tottered along for miles. We had lovely fish and chips and a few rides on the pier.Poor Dills has such a terrible cough and cold but she is such a trooper bless her,she never gives up.

wiggles Thats all Ella and friends do.Im not allowed to look or even go near her or she shouts at me.

blizy That Dad sounds a knobhead Grin Lawyers indeed.

ponyo Co codamol sounds good to me,almost worth the bad shoulder Grin
Ive just scored some black market valium for my smear next week haha.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 11/04/2012 21:17

Damn, x posted with delia, hello there!
I agree with you about this being a really fun age and wanting time to slow down a bit now although a couple of my friends are due in July and I'm getting a bit excited about holding a newborn again. We're still saying no more for us though and I'm getting a bit Hmm at the comments I get when I tell people this. Hope you have a lovely eve too, Claudia sounds brilliant Smile

wigglesrock · 11/04/2012 21:23

Deliakis guilt smilt! any room in your suitcase? Grin Have a fab time xx Oh and A is a bit of a magpie, she likes to walk about with two books at all time, still can't prise Dear Zoo out of her hands! and make a little pile with them which she then sits on.

[whispers] we've had some really good nights sleep with A lately, she's still in with us the odd night but actual sleeping has much improved. She's down to one nap has been for quite a while.

debka are you back yet? How was the inlaws trip?

ILovePonyo · 11/04/2012 21:29

Aw Delia C sounds so cute, love the seriousness of her Very Important Jobs. A usually has a hair clip too but is getting good at pulling them out, grr. Don't feel guilty about going away, just enjoy the lovely sleep and think how nice it will be when you get home to see C!

Ah needto my new fb friend, good job I have cats too Wink Grin what is this game you introduced miss Alice to, is it on the pc?

Ledkr this co codamol is working a treat you know. I am jealous of your Valium, I've only had it once and thought it was so great I decided never again, could see myself getting a bit addicted Shock

Agree that the babies are getting more grown up, sometimes it seems like A is changing daily. She was opening her mouth for bonjela earlier and we were laughing at her so she kept opening it wider and saying "aaahh" very funny.

tadjennyp · 11/04/2012 21:42

Lovely photos of wiggs and four4! Glad you had a great day out!

Meant to say, well done MrNeedto - that's great going!

Hello choco! Love that photo of R on the London Eye.

Your date sounds awesome Ponyo though I hope your shoulder gets better soon. Is this Jamie's Italian in Nottingham? I might try and squeeze a trip there while we are over in the summer.

Sorry about your pants day blizy. Hope your evening is better.

Nothing exciting happening here today. Finally found the wii remote that Sammy lost - that's as good as it gets! Smile

blizy · 11/04/2012 21:43

Need to- no not for me thankfully!

All the babies sound fab.Grin

I have booked my fur baby an app at the vets for a health check and vaccinations. He goes next thurs morning .

Is anyone watching the Concordia boat documentary on c4? Omg, I can't believe how freaking incompetent the captain and staff were. Those poor, poor people on board. Sad

tadjennyp · 11/04/2012 21:53

Sorry, totally x-posted with everyone there! Glad you had a great day out too ledkr, and your meet-up with reastie went well, needto! Alice and Ben sound so cute together!

Have a great trip Delia! No need for guilt. Dads go away all the time, after all!

Hope you are all having a great evening.
