Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Grannyapple · 17/04/2012 21:52

wiggs make a hill not a hol Hmm

Grannyapple · 17/04/2012 21:53

Ach bloomin iPhone...should say groupon deal, not grouping...Ach, you all get the gist of it hopefully!

wigglesrock · 18/04/2012 09:06

Four4Me how strange that we were talking about potty training last week. Hope all goes well, and try not to worry about Archie xx Mr W always says he wants a cook if we won the Lottery, personally I'd go for my own restaurant with a room in the back where you could watch tv in your pjs!

Grannyapple Mr W also suggested a scorched earth type effect with bought by BP signs Grin I found a jigsaw that my blessed mil had bought Olivia last year that have jaguars, sloths etc in it and there are pictures I Sofia can cut out - pipecleaners here we come Grin

Olivias sore throat reappeared so she is off school today, not as sore as over Easter but she's in worse form Shock, so we are having a books and bed day. I refuse to think about the postman but thanks for all your good vibes Grin

When Mr W first was ill a few months ago, he was due to start a placement at work that had to be cancelled, he didn't think he'd get offered it again but he did, starting today Shock. It means all his hours/shifts for the next 3 months have changed, so I'm trying to sort out exactly what we need covered re childcare - its a bit of a nightmare. As well I'm an organisational genius Hmm Shock

wigglesrock · 18/04/2012 10:25

Shite, postman been with no letter, there may be a delay due to the volume of post apparently Hmm Right off to sulk Grin

Four4Me thanks for your message, the postman survives to fight another day Grin

americanexpat · 18/04/2012 11:04

Our houseguests finally left this morning and not a moment too soon. They were so busy dirtying every cup and bath towel that they didn't have time for any housework. Hmm L has not been himself with another baby in the house, so fingers crossed he's back to normal soon. He was quite happy to go to nursery this morning.

I've read the thread but can't remember enough to comment. [waves to everyone]

blizy · 18/04/2012 11:09

Shite about no letter wiggles. Hope Olivia is well soon.

American- I was wondering where you had gone! I did t know you had guests, weren't you lucky Wink. Bet you are glad to get your house to yourself again.

Baby is sleeping and Alfie is going mental, my hand is covered in scratches! Confused

Emski76 · 18/04/2012 13:01

Hi All
Deb, hope Imy enjoyed her time at preschool, enjoy your time with S, I'm looking forward to Sept when Ben starts school and I get two days a week with Noah on my own.

Blizy, ouch to cat scratches. They bloody hurt don;t they?

Wiggles, we find out by email about school places and can also go online from 6am. Guess who will be setting her alarm for 5.55am!!! I couldn't wait for snailmail!! Poor Olivia being poorly again, good luck with the school make you have to do. Am not looking forward to that when Ben starts school!

Four4, yippee to Imogen starting potty training - well done to her! Is Archie suffering still with his tear ducts?

Granny, well done to you on your running! When is your race? Glad N is doing well, and yum to afternoon tea! Planning on being pregnant soon are we? I must admit I am a bit broody at the moment, I seem to be surrounded by pregnant people!

Last day at work today for the weekend - thank goodness. I;m definitely not cut out for this working malarky, I could be doing so much more at home, such as dunking choccie biscuits in a hot drink!

wigglesrock · 18/04/2012 14:13

emski there's a thread in Education full of anxious parents Grin, e-mail is the way to go, seems to have worked out well for people on the thread. We don't have the facility to do it on-line, same with exam results, old-skool Grin pardon the pun!

Olivia and Anna are playing "babies", Anna keeps trying to snatch the dolls off Olivia and Olivia has just said "No Anna, Mummies don't like it when people touch their babies!!!" Grin She's a Mumsnetter in the making Grin

americanexpat hope you can relax soon.

debka how did Imy get on?

tadjennyp · 18/04/2012 18:43

Glad you have your house to yourself again expat. Is that the last lot of visitors before you go back?

Sorry you didn't get your letter today, wiggles and that Olivia is poorly.Hope she is well soon. Good luck to MrW for his placement.

Go granny with the running and the groupon deal! And congrats Four4 with the win!

Esmki, hope you get the place you want for Ben too.

Blizy, ouch with the kitten scratches.

I found out last night that Anna is supposed to take part in an Earth Day parade dressed in an animal costume. On Saturday. Not that she's told me, I just found out through the daisies website! She still has a ladybug costume in the wardrobe, so I hope that still fits.

Right, it is nearly 11am so I had better go and pick Anna up. Hmm

Have good evenings all!

debka · 18/04/2012 19:22

Just a quickie before I walk the dog.

Imy has had 2 days now at pre school and is doing fine. DH has taken her and she's been a little lip-quivery on leaving, but apparently has a whale of a time there, joins in and they said she was 'a bright little button' today

Bean and I went to Rhyme Time which was nice, but weird Hmm

Not looking forward to when they're older and I have to do all this Earth Day Rainforest World Book Day Dressing Up Making Shit bollocks though Grin

to everyone, have some Wine, see you later Grin

ILovePonyo · 18/04/2012 21:50

Evening,

I've not got much to report so....

deb "bright little button" awwww! Well done brave Imy :)

tadj any chance of a ladybird cossie pic? Sounds v cute!

emski woah at the 6am log on, oh I really have no idea about school places and how competitive it can get, good luck to you, wiggles and anyone else having to twiddle their thumbs waiting!

wiggles ugh to rainforest Hmm I think my dp might like projects like that when A is older, I can imagine him taking over a bit a la Monica from Friends Grin Hope Olivia is ok.

Four4 I've got one of those Ellas kitchen bag thingys! I got it for joining up to their emails. Good isn't it!?

american I can imagine A would be the same having another baby around, shes not the most sociable baby! Welcome back :)

blizy helloooo, how furrykins doing? apart from scratching your hands

Hi everyone else, I am tired after work, talk about being dropped back in at the deep end after a week off been v busy. Am looking forward to chilling with A tomorrow and prob going to a bit of baby singing, woo!

blizy · 18/04/2012 22:07

Hi Ponyo, Alfie is mental but fab into everything he is not supposed to be! Vet tomorrow with for a health check and vaccinations, is it weird that I'm nervous about it?Blush I don't want my little dude to get hurtBlush

Tad- Grin at Anna the ladybug, so cute!

Well done Sabine! It's fab she has settled into pre school so quickly!

Big waves to everyone!

ILovePonyo · 18/04/2012 22:21

Aw now you may well cry especially if he does a sad little mew but its ok, get him home and cuddled up with you later! I think I miss my cats being little kitties who would run around then fall asleep 2 mins later Hmm now they're just annoying Wink

Night all xx

wigglesrock · 19/04/2012 09:57

blizy hope Alfies appointment goes well Grin

Where the feck is my postman? Grin

americanexpat · 19/04/2012 10:04

blizy - Aww, hopefully it'll be fine for Alfie! One of my cats is very sensitive and got so upset about going to the vet that she pooed on the exam table. I felt so horrible and guilty. Sad Do you know how to trim his claws? It helps with the scratches.

tadjennyp - no, we still have a friend arriving in a week, another friend in a month, then my mum and aunt are planning to visit at the end of June. Everyone has suddenly realised their chance at free lodging is fading. Grin Def need a photo of the ladybug!

wiggles - fingers crossed the letter arrives today.

L was up twice in the night last night. Shock I think I might dose him up with paracetamol before bed tonight. He doesn't seem to want anything, just cries. DH struggled to get him to bed last night too and he's usually very easy to put to bed.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 19/04/2012 10:27

Morning all!

Wiggles, any news yet? Hope the postie had good news for you today. Grin at o being a mnetter in the making!

Blizy, good luck today with little Alfie, I know it's hard but he'll forget about it soon enough when your cuddling him.

american, I am Shock at all the freeloaders house guests. You are a saint, I hope the next lot are better behaved and tidy up after themselves. Do you think l could be teething? It's become my answer to everything so take no notice of me. See what the calpol does tonight, not sleeping is not fun.

Where is ledkr? Hope she's okay. If you're reading this then we've started the new sleep routine and b didn't wake until 6:15am (one dummy wake up at 2am) and this morning it was about the same so definite progress. I shortened his nap this morning to 20 mins and hoping it means he'll go through till 7 tomorrow. I think now he's walking (and climbing Hmm) he should be more tired as well so that's got to be a good thing. Thank you for the advice, we were going a bit nuts tbh!

Hope you all have a good day, DM has taken b out for the morning to see her sister so they can coo over him and video him walking again so I'm catching up on stuff and intend to have a lovely long shower and cup in peace!

blizy · 19/04/2012 10:55

Wow American you will have a busy house!

Wiggles- ??

Needto- enjoy your peace.

Well Alfie was fab, he was chasing shadows on the table and had the tiniest squeak when the needle went in. Me on the other hand, was a wreck!Grin. He is all snuggled up on my sleeping away now.

wigglesrock · 19/04/2012 10:55

No letter yet, but I'm sending apologies to you all, I'm boring myself with it at the minute so God knows how you are all feeling Blush Grin

I am actually annoying myself, I've been on the other threads and the schools I've put down for O are all really good schools, we are so lucky over here re schools, we have definitely got a place from our list so its just the inconvenience of having the girls at seperate schools. Some people are having to travels miles to get a "crap" school place and don't even start me on the twins who have been given places at schools miles apart Angry So I'm giving myself a kick up the backside to save you all the bother Grin

americanexpat I see you've been hit by the oh no we will have nowhere free to stay bug, good luck xx Hope L feels better.

tad realise its the middle of the night for you but hope you are feeling better xx

reastie been kidnapped by the g-nomes, its how we say it in our house Grin Hope you are having a lovely time.

NeedTo Enjoy the time "off"

americanexpat · 19/04/2012 12:20

needto - I think it may be teething, he's been chewing like crazy and slavering too. Enjoy your wee break!

wiggles - I don't mind the school talk, I need a bit of drama to follow. Grin

blizy - glad Alfie was OK at the vet.

Our friend visiting next is a uni friend, single, lives on his own. It's going to be interesting seeing how he reacts to L. Grin Also, DH doesn't think it's too cheeky to ask if he'll bring me some beer. Grin Room and board comes at a price!

Four4me · 19/04/2012 13:45

Hi all, just popped on to see if there is any school place news? How bonkers is splitting twins up to different schools.

It has poured down here for two days, I am sick of getting wet though walking back and forth to school. Imogen doing brill in pants, she looks strange in her bedtime nappy now!!

Back later for any news..... Crossing fingers x

wigglesrock · 19/04/2012 13:48

She got in Grin I'm delighted, as you might have guessed. Thank you all for your support and good vibes. I promise not to talk about it for at least a day.

blizy · 19/04/2012 14:02

americanexpat · 19/04/2012 14:24

Excellent news, wiggles! Now what's going to occupy my days?! Please don't say work.

Well done to Imogen too!

NeedToSleepZZZ · 19/04/2012 14:45

Woo hoo Wiggles! So happy for you! Grin Grin Grin

It's madness that they split up twins Shock

Now it's Ems turn, fingers crossed for you and enjoy your sleep.

Glad to see that Alfie did you proud today Blizy! Bless him, I can remember those little purrs so well, like a little engine running next to you Grin

How fab is Imogen??? We obviously have little stars on here Smile

This weather is so horrid, feels like flippin January. I got stuck walking across the road yesterday as the wind was so strong it was taking B and his pushchair with it. A lovely woman came to the rescue and helped carry him to the other side. I was very Blush
