Hello all. Couldn't see a new thread so thought I'd do the honours. Sorry for rubbish title, I'm no good at witty! :)

carrie I am precisely nowhere with my sister as I haven't replied. I did mention it to mum and she flipped out as she thinks I am barmy for not letting the DC's sleep over at my sisters house. So, all in all I'm heading for a quiet Xmas on my own with the DC's Hmm.

My sister used to have lodgers in her house and I didn't let the dc's stay over then either, seeing as her new boyfriend is someone she met while drinking her way around the world and has only just moved in I'm really not letting the dc's sleep over yet. I need babysitting help from my family but I am obviously asking for too much for help that suits me, the odd hour off at weekends would be nice but they hardly come round anymore, mum helps with the school & nursery run though. And then they wonder why I shout at the kids when we've been stuck together for 48hrs+ Sad. I realise they aren't at my beck and call but they know I asked for help and they seem determined to avoid things that I would find helpful.

So, things are going really well Grin.

badvoc I hope you're resting and recovering. This years winter sickness bug is a nasty bugger isn't it.

Badvoc · 17/10/2012 21:21

Soooo...
Am on sofa with sick bowl beside me :(
Feel awful.
Am going to need to cancel some stuff at the weekend i think...supposed to be doing Sunday school and a craft morning in Saturday...
I was I such pain earlier in my back I nearly got dh to call the ooh gp...:(
My parents are a bit the same meg...they will help, under sufferance. I hate asking and dont unless I am desperate.
Pils are great and much more reliable...in fact mil is popping over tomorrow which I am very glad of now :(

CappuccinoCarrie · 18/10/2012 13:55

Oh badvoc I really hope there's some quality trashy tv on today that you're able to enjoy! So sorry you've got the bug :(

Its a tricky one isn't it asking relatives for help? We don't have any relatives for miles around, both sets of parents live the other end of the country. When they visit I find it hard to get the right balance between doing fun outings together, and actually asking them to just have the DCs for a bit so I can do things like get my hair cut/eyes tested/pop to town/christmas shopping etc. My mum is always happy to have a morning with the DCs while I go and do those sorts of jobs, but the dILs are always a bit Hmm even though they're brilliant with the kids. But to be fair they were amazing with DD and DS1 when DS2 was born, but I think they had come specifically 'to help' and had no expectation of spending quality time with the whole family. I don't know how we would negotiate it if we had family nearby!

Badvoc · 18/10/2012 14:17

Ugh.
Why can't I throw up?
Weeps...

CappuccinoCarrie · 18/10/2012 18:26
Thanks
Badvoc · 18/10/2012 18:34

Takes tissue

Meglet · 18/10/2012 23:27

badvoc please make an apt with the GP for tomorrow or get to a walk in centre. There's sickness (ie; being sick for a day then perking up and nibbling toast by tea-time) and there's sickness, you can't carry on being wiped out like this, your poor insides must be in tatters Sad. They might want to run a blood test, stool samples etc. And no, you can't leave it over the weekend!

Badvoc · 19/10/2012 11:50

Ut I haven't been sick meg...just keep running to loo but nothing happens...very hard to eat as I am so nauseous all the time.
Haven't slept in days...:(
Lying down makes it worse...
Maybe I should just stick mynfingersndown my throat? Would that be bad?
(Desperate)

notcitrus · 19/10/2012 12:23

Oh poor you badvoc - but if you've been this bad since Monday it's time to phone the doc and have a telephone consultation. And the nearest chemist may be able to pick up a prescription and deliver it for you. Hope you feel better very soon.

We're just having more bog-standard colds round here, and dd at 8 months is enjoying lots of food (good) but then screams and poos at least 3 times a night (not good as up for up to an hour a time).

The ILs are back to hoarding levels of clutter - except it's mainly 'for the grandchildren', so now I have a carload of stuff to sift through and ungratefully chuck out. 200 items of baby clothes went to charity shop on Monday... They're so proud of getting 'bargains' but if they didn't buy so many items at 10p each there would be loads of money for some really nice stuff we need. But at least it gives MIL exercise going round all the car boots.

Badvoc · 19/10/2012 15:15

NC...omg, that's my idea of hell!! I hate clutter...it's kind if sweet of them and your local charity she are doing well! :)
Am sending dh to chemists to get some anti nausea meds...this has goneon long enough...
Thank for all the sympathy x

Meglet · 20/10/2012 12:46

How are you today badvoc?

I'm trying to tidy up, it's not going very well with the kids under my feet.

Badvoc · 20/10/2012 12:50

Hi meg.
Had a slightly better night last thanks.
Have started my GERD meds again this morning and have taken a probiotic too.
Am actually dressed for the first time in a week so I am taking that as progress :)
Just working on the advent banner for church - looks pretty good!
Just need to ORT out some stuff for Sunday shook tomorrow now...
Need to do housework but probably won't :)

Meglet · 20/10/2012 13:04

No housework under any circumstances!!!

Glad you're on the mend a bit .

Meglet · 23/10/2012 20:47

ooo, you've all vanished.

badvoc I hope you are much better now.

Badvoc · 23/10/2012 20:50

Here I am!
Still feeling rough...might go to gp tomorrow if I can get in.
Trying to convince myself that it's not a relapse of my me/Cfs...haven't got time for that shit! Angry

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/10/2012 09:31

badvoc how are you today? Thanks Brew

Can't believe this fell off threads I'm on Shock

We had an amazing weekend, felt like such a blessing since all our friends were down south at a cracking wedding. We couldn't go because no one could have our DCs :( So having an amazing weekend was just what we needed to not feel too bad about missing the wedding! Gonna have to do a lot of exercise to counteract the three course meal, two bottles of wine, fish and chips, entire chocolate orange, curry, cake, packet of chocolate digestives and bag of minstrels. Oh gosh its worse than I'd realised now I've written it all out...the weekend wasn't just about food though, promise! Blush

Badvoc · 24/10/2012 11:39

Hi carrie.
Not great :(
Been to gp and I have blood in my wee and have to have a load of blood tests...sigh.
Its half term here so got the kids and am not well enough to do anything so they are bored rigid.
Promised I would take ds1 and his friend to the cinema tomorrow afternoon too :(
Glad you had a good weekend :)
Got some ABs to take and some stuff to - ahem - get me moving again.
Off to get bloods done tomorrow but one is a fasting one...

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/10/2012 13:01

Oh you poor thing :(
DS1 has just had diarrhoea, didn't make it to the toilet in time :(
And I need to take him back to the doctors about his sore bottom which he's had for months. Sigh.

Badvoc · 24/10/2012 13:07

Oh no! That happened to me last week!
Toby ended up with what I think was a contact dermatitis on his bum after a really bad dose of norovirus when he was 14 months old. He had explosive runs for 2 weeks...it was awful.
After that whenever he had a dirty nappy we had to change it ASAP or he would get a sore bum. Caused a few issues with my pils,as they would leave him and he would come home with a sore bleeding bum and I would go mad!
Found bepanthen batter than sudocrem - we spent a fortune on it :(
He had a reaction to metanium so we couldn't use that one.
Hope it gets sorted, poor thing.

Meglet · 24/10/2012 21:11

carrie give me 100 crunches! Grin

I ate a whole chocolate orange once, made me feel sick. Just fancy one right now though (I have pasta).

When are they doing your bloods badvoc?

Badvoc · 25/10/2012 07:55

I am going this morning Meglet x

Badvoc · 25/10/2012 15:48

Bloods taken.
Now.....if only I could poo (sorry tmi!)
Its been 8 days.........:(

Meglet · 25/10/2012 20:17

badvoc get some stool softener!!! Dulcoease from the chemists or Movicol from the GP. Your poor body and poor you Sad.

Has anyone else hit the stage of spending a bloody fortune on kids shoes. Now DS is at school he needs school shoes and trainers and wellies, and as we walk alot he's got some cheap fleecy lined winter boots. The shoe rack is fit to burst!

Badvoc · 26/10/2012 07:20

Meg...i have something from docs which I have been taking - sachets in water.
This is my third day (weeps)
Very fed up now.
Wonders if a stick of dynamite rammed up my aperture would help?
:)

Badvoc · 26/10/2012 07:20

...and yes to shoes...must take dc to get theirs measured...again!
