I've decided to dice with dath and get my laptop out. They're short-staffed tonight and the nurse has said as long as we don't set fire to the place we can pretty much do as we wish. There are two babies in this six bed room, and they're not admitting any more to the entire ward tonight due to staff issues so there'll be no movement. Huzzah!
Octopus is ok. His night sats are driving the staff crazy, he is improving in the daytime, but his deep sleep is so deep that he needs 35% o2 just to maintain reasonable levels. I have a feeling that our named nurse tonight is going to have words with the boys (other inmate is a lad a couple of weeks older than the octopus) as they are being awkward. This is her third night and she is bemused by their antics. They have managed to synchronise themselves, and when one has a hissy fit the other will join in, they'll set their monitos off at the same time, and at one point their readouts were the same too. We have suggested that they're using the beeps as a method of communicating without nurses or mothers being any the wiser...
As you can see, the cabin fever has taken hold >_<
I am on the thirteenth floor of the building, and can see te river from here, so if anyone needs a haddock at any point I'll see if I can snag one with the powers of my mind. Before you worry, 'tis a tidal river very close to the coast, a haddock should;t be over difficult though a porpoise would inevitably be easier. And, to be fair, much more entertaining for beating folk about the noggin with:o
Why yes,yes I am dealing with this all by just resolutely keeping a stiff upper lip, drinking tea and refusing to sit in a corner rocking. Onwards?
Going to put another picture of the octpus up in a second, as I think his rather fetching headbox is the mutt's nuts, and all the babies'll be wearing them to the posh functions this year...
