Something in the air last night I think?!
As I closed my eyes at 10 dd3 woke.

Sorted her out closed eyes again dd1 woke at 1030.

Dd2 up just before 2.

Had just closed eyes when Dh came in from work.

Had just closed eyes again when H woke at 3.

Got him up at 3.20 & he refused to go down again obviously we were both just falling asleep when dd1 got up at 630...

So day began just before 2...
Matchsticks please?

easily yea H is a puker. Not impressed

Kri5ty · 12/02/2012 08:21

So now I'm sat downstairs after 3 hours sleep due to oh and friend. I look like a train wreck, which I'm hoping Saul will want his nap before his friend is up, as I really don't want anyone to see me like this!

EasilyBored · 12/02/2012 08:23

I don't know how people cope with more than one, I'm getting used to living on 5 hours or less of broken sleep, but only because we don't have to do much during the days except baby groups and playing.

Cass has fallen asleep sitting up in my lap while being burped.

Does anyone mind filling me in on who's who and their babies/kids?

Kri5ty · 12/02/2012 08:26

Yes air I didn't think they would do childcare or taxi runs, which would be the biggest help to me, just so I could attempt to rest lol, are they more for emotional support?

easily I'm from Manchester, and would happily meet up! There was a stats thread, I'll try and find it when I'm more awake lol x

aethelfleda · 12/02/2012 09:11

mopsy and hawthers, DS is in 0-3 purely due to length of legs. His cloth nappy bulks out the bottom area (when he's got a night one on he looks like a weeble :) ) but the rest of it is very much on the baggy side! He is a beginning of Jan baby though so one of the youngest on thread.

aethelfleda · 12/02/2012 09:12
AWomanCalledHorse · 12/02/2012 09:18

Sorry, v.selfish post; DS is behaving like he normally does, but he's not feeding properly (last 3 feeds have been half the amount he normally drinks), watch for the rest of the day & Dr's tomorrow if not improved?
Shoulld I offer him water?

Thanks x

msbuggywinkle · 12/02/2012 09:35

Morning! Pancakes and coffee for breakfast here, we need the energy for building the chicken run today!

For those worrying about weight...my DDs 1&2 are at almost 6 and very nearly 3 in respectively, age 4 clothes and 18-24mth clothes. I post about Miri growing out of stuff because it is such a novelty to me!

LittleMissFlustered · 12/02/2012 10:07

Just fed the kids bacon sandwiches. They ate them then abandoned me, which isn't too bad but I'm feeding the octopus and can't see the remote and they've left cbeebies on! >_

OiMissus · 12/02/2012 10:45

Morning all, lmf I feel your pain, I have gad to watch Eastenders once and Home and Away a couple of times due to unreachable remotes. Although I am getting better at juggling the baby about. When I remember how difficult bfing was at the start - not getting the position/hold/latch right - it now happens in any position, all over place, juggling muslins, coffee, toast, remote controls and greyhounds. Grin
easily mine's a puker. Not at night, somehow, but all through the day. And he has the amazing ability to remove the muslin from my shoulder and pull in my hair so that all my clothes have sick-shoulderpads, and my split ends get glued back together.
Btw I'm Vanessa (39) first child is Alistair (9wks 1day), born 1wk late by emergency c section, in Bolton.
That's another thing, Al is 9 wks old, I still haven't had an invite for my 8 wk dr appt ( it's 8 wk not 6 wk at my practice) and no invite for his immunisations yet. I'll chase up tomorrow.
And it's 3 wks since my trip to hospital with unexplained pain and I have still not received an appt for a scan.
Do I exist? (if I hide in a box, do I still exist?) Wink

Kri5ty · 12/02/2012 10:46

Ok so OH must know he is in trouble... he is cleaning! Never on 4 years has he cleaned off his own back without me asking!

Ps easily my little boy Saul arrived 2 weeks early on 29th December

LittleMissFlustered · 12/02/2012 11:08

kri5ry the threat of stinky fish and stroppy partner is strong... Or his mate had a word:o

bennybenbear · 12/02/2012 11:11

easily I'm Bec, 31(32 this month shh!) living in Bolton, had Ollie on 18th Dec almost two weeks late the little tinker. Managed to avoid cs but had ventouse with just gas and air :s

LMF I so need a bacon sandwich now!

bennybenbear · 12/02/2012 11:14

Kristy you obv sent some good vibes his way, good work!!

My DH has just gone to Asda for nappies while I play with LO Smile and scan eBay for bargains (an a little addicted at the mo!) We're out for lunch with family later which should be nice!

OiMissus · 12/02/2012 11:19

lmf if you made me bacon butties, I would not abandon you. Smile

LittleMissFlustered · 12/02/2012 11:19

Well. My son has a swing, a very lovely papasan style bouncer and a play may. Where does he prefer to lurk? On a folded blanket or in his pram. I give up. The pram has a carry cot so it's not the end of the world, just awkward as it lives in the hallway >_<

easily Not a puker, just a constant feeder. Five week old male octopus Valle Edward, we're Yorkshire folk:o

EasilyBored · 12/02/2012 11:51

Beny, I feel your pain, had forceps with just gas and air!

NorthernChinchilla · 12/02/2012 12:10

luckysevens · 12/02/2012 12:40

Hi easily, I have a puker too, and she very rarely sleeps anywhere but on me during the day and half the bloody night.

msbuggy DS is the same, he's 3.5 but still has some 18-24 clothes.

I should have said that Eva is long but thin, the 0-3 she's outgrown were baggy, I have a couple that still fit thankfully as 3-6 will look ridiculous! She's still in size 2 nappies.

Glad some managed a good night.

Kri5ty · 12/02/2012 13:03

lmf what type of swing is it?

I'm looking for new toys if anyone can recommend? He loves his jungle gym with flashing lights, but I can't put him on that everytime he is awake lol, he hates his plain bouncer... have a flashing one on order lol

MissRee · 12/02/2012 13:05

I have a fisher price rainforest swing thingy for Freya and she loves it!!

Can't believe she's a month old today... and she's woken with a swollen, gunky and crusty eye Sad

Kri5ty · 12/02/2012 13:06

... he really was trying to get in the good books. He has even cleaned the skirting boards!!!

EasilyBored · 12/02/2012 13:42

We've got a mamas and papas bouncer, which he will tolerate for about 20 minutes (longer if I turn the Hoover on. Little weirdo.) We've got their tummy time toy thing too, which he likes - it kind of props him up so he can see what's going on. It was pretty cheap too!

Oh, we've got some twinkling battery powered fairy lights he likes, have wrapped them round the toy arch on his playmat. Might work if its the flashing lights your lo likes?

LittleMissFlustered · 12/02/2012 13:45

I have a fisher price folding take along swing kri5ty the bigger ones are fab but space is at a premium here:)

The octopus is still in newborn clothes, and up until about a week or so was in early baby stuff:)

OiMissus · 12/02/2012 14:49

The favourite parts of our M&P Magic playmat at the moment are the gently flashing lights and the mirror. Oh and the crinkly noise bit where he kicks his feet. He'll happily lie there flailing about and watching himself for 30 mins.
The Magic Bouncer is also quite good because of the lights - but he's not yet impressed by vibrations etc.
I bought some Lamaze wrist bands and sockette things, i' not sure he really notices them yet.
I'd appreciate ideas.
So...Lights are good, crinkly mat noises for feet are good. Dangly animals in his travel cot are noticed too. But he's not reaching for anything yet.
